Sportivo intake/airbox

Would a sportivo airbox/intake fit on a normal corolla?

i haven't seen it but i should expect to see some gains right?

does anyone want to sell theirs?

considering if u were selling it u'd prolly be buying some sort of cai, and hence it will be sitting there gathering dust anyway not too much

around 100 i guess? is this too realistic? unrealistic

The piping is the same as the 1zz and the filter is the same as well.

Not any difference that im aware off.

If you look at the TRD site the trd panel filter fits both the sportivo and 1zz

yea but is the intake the same size and location?

the 1zz intake from the airbox is tiny....

basically looking for some sort of gains for little money.... not necessarily in power, but a bit of fuel better breathing = better fuel economy would be nice

any other sportivo --> 1zz corolla swap ideas?

waste of time, the stock intake systems are the same.

I think you will find that there are some minor differences between 1zz and 2zz. But as far as gains then I wouldn't bother :D

The lid is slightly different from one to the other, you'll nice the difference if you look at them both side by side.

They're both identicial on all sides except for the back side that normally faces the firewall. The 2zz's is wider there.

Kcorro replaced his 1zz lid with a 2zz lid and notice and difference in responsiveness.

So you wouldn't change the entire airbox, only the lid. And make sure you get a post recall lid if you're going to do it.
