Don't know if you guys can help me here. But I'll throw it out there anyway. I'm trying to remove the ignition barel from my 2008 Hilux. I've got to the stage where you push the pin and slide the barrel out. The barrel comes about 10mm out of the housing and then stops. I can't move it any further. Does anyone know if there is a second pin or something else I need to do for the barrel to come further. Never had this problem with older Hiluxes. Thanks in advance for any uggestions.

Cheer's.

I believe you need to have the key in the lock to be able to slide the cylinder out. The wafers inside need to all line up in order to do this and the key does this.

Thanks for the input Tony Prodigy.

There is a second locking pin and a special tool required.

Had a locksmith come and sort it.
