Hey guys new here.

having issues with high idle around 1300-1500 have replaced the idle control valve and made no difference. Is there anything els that could be causing this.

sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn’t find anything by the search bar. .

It's possible you may have a vacuum leak somewhere mate. Go around with some WD40 and give a little squirt to all the connection points of your vacuum hoses. One or more hoses could perished, ie small cracks too.

I have no idea where or how many you may have, but a little look around, you should be able to identify them relatively easy.

I'm wondering now if someone has messed with the idle screw adjustment or did it develop over time ??

Sometimes, when the idle control valve plays up, people tend to raise the idle via the screw adjustment, and that's a big no no. It will cause erratic idling and once the faulty idle control valve is replaced, it would need to be put back to the exact position. It's creating more work than what's required.
