Are the Australian and US spec engines in the gen 7 Celica (1.8l 2zz-ge} the same ie are parts interchangeable? I can buy the parts from the USA inc shipping for approx 50% of the AUS parts, just want to make sure they will fit, ie Oil [ump and timing chain kit

Well, mostly identical.  There are a couple of variations that the US market had compared to JDM/Aus (such as air-injection, DBW throttle body, ECU etc) but internals should be the same.
