Hi Peter,

That is a lot of Kms.  It would want to be cheap!

In my opinion, a well maintained and serviced ute should be fine.  I'd want strong evidence of it's service history but.  It should have had it's timing belt replaced around 150K, and so should be about due for a second timing belt.

My daughter drives a GU patrol that has hit 350K without any issues except one clutch.

If it has service history , if you buy the first thing would be a timing belt  280k not much seen them flogged and still do over 400 k
