Hi peeps, son has a 2006 corolla ascent , burnt out the clutch , have replaced it , along with pressure plate and thrust bearing, everything mounted up and back together perfectly.

Issue is that you can get the clutch to throw properly with the car off but the moment you start the car you lose all pressure in the clutch and it refuses to fully throw out enough to change gears. have tried bleeding it with the motor off and again, it works perfectly till you start the car. does this need to be done when the car is running or not ?

check the fork and slave cylinder, you can get longer pins that push the fork in
