I searched the TOCA forums then, after reading the celica.org review on short shifters i started having doubts on getting the TRD ss, i was looking more at TWM but hear its insanely short, although last time i was in bangns car it seemed he had no dramas shifting like a crazy mofo :lol: with the TWM. Also that and TWM is cheaper :P . Perhaps a B&M is a good compromise between the two?

what combination of shifter length and throw are you after?

It's pretty easy to make a shifter with whatever attributes you want.

well i want the throw to be small but the shifter to be not too short thats why i was goind to go with TRD but TWM apparently has the best for "shortest throw" if that makes sense.

yep,

You can have stock height with shorter than TRD throw, not much shorter though as you're getting to the limits of the plastic housing with the space the shift cables have to move. It does require higher spacers to be used than what is included with the TRD kit so you have adequate tunnel clearance. Some people in other cars use a stack of washers with new high tensile bolts to increase the assembly height, does the same job.

I made a "really" short throw version with close to stock height for MAP81, but he didn't like it so went to my standard "short throw" version.
