after alot of reading...

does anyone know if tempe tyres stock tyres that meet or excedd the 88v load rating for a ascent corolla for theses rime http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_clos...amp;part_no=580 they are 16"*7 they look preety good or maybe i will have to buy the rims of them and get tyres from another store??

and another thing if i buy my rims do u think i can install them my self or is there some technical things they do? i mean ive had flat tyres b4 i can change a wheel lol

if anyone can help me out from there experiences id appreciate it cheers

I would recommend you buy the rims seperately and find tyres to suit elsewhere. In regards to you doing it yourself I wouldnt reccommend as the rim and tyre need to be balanced.

Unless offcourse you specifically tell tempe to order a set of tyres for you which meet load specifications, but research this yourself instead of them saying what is good.

i guess you would be after 205/50-R16 for your 16 x 7. i used that before and it looks and sits good.

i guess you would be after 205/50-R16 for your 16 x 7. i used that before and it looks and sits good. unfortunately the highest rating you are going to find is 87v. it is like trying to find 88v tyres for 215/40-R17 there are none.

if you must have 88v then you need to change the tyre size to 205/55-R16 and then there are many choices 90+ rating from advan, bridgestone, dunlop, michelin. the load rating from the ascent is hard to match with performance tyres.

you will not be able to fit and balance the wheels without the specialised equipment costing thousands. once fitted and balanced you can yourself bolt them to your hubs just as you would changing a wheel in the event of a flat tyre.

i checked the kspeed picture you linked. that style is very old and copied many times over. usually people use 17 x 7 for that style. but if you really like it go for it.

There were only two tyres that met the 88 load rating when I tried searching for 205/50R16 and they were Yokohama A-Drive's and Falken Ziex ZE-512 (I think they were the two, search it on the net n find out). And they were fairly pricey (hence I stuck to 15 inch :( )
