7th gen remote central locking

hey guys,

i just wanna know if the 7th gen stock remote central locking system is meant to make the indicator lights flash or make a beep noise??

the only way i know that i locked my car is if i listen closely to the locks flicking, or manually checking that i locked it..

seems weird..

p.s its a 2000 ZR and since i owned it(for 2 yrs now..) its always had this problem

No, the indicators aren't meant to flash and there isn't meant to be any noise.

It's a bit of a pain, since you don't actually know if its locked unless you listen for the 'click'

I think this is an oversight from Toyota Australia, since overseas models seem to come with a full alarm system.
