Hi there,

Need some advice. I am living in Melbourne.

I recently bought a used 91 Camry CS SV21 3SFE and from a dealer.

1. Can anybody tell me when its time to bring it to service? It has about 244000 kms in it.

2. Any good mechanic you can recommend me in Melbourne?

thanks guys

Hard to tell the history of the car with a few kms on.

I would drop all the fluids and replace them (oil, radiator, brake fluid, gearbox fluid) and get the cam belt checked. Check the brake pads. The big one is the Cam belt. It gets replaced every 100,000kms and costs a lot to get replaced. Get this checked out as if it fails it will cost you a load.

You might want to check the plugs too.

Once all that is done get an oil change ever 10,000 or so. If you do all this your beast itl be good to you for some time :)

Thanks guys,

But anybody know where can I get my car serviced in Melbourne? I am looking for a good, honest and reliable garage.

I have heard of horror stories where mechanics rip newbie drivers off with service that they dont need.

what a real shame for a job that is important

cheers,
