Lowering car on stock wheels

As some might know, i will be picking up my levin soon and i wish to lower it. As im already forking out a hefty ammount to buy the car i dont have enough yet to get new wheels.

Ideally i want to get super lows, 60mm drop or whatever it is -

My question is - Does it matter if i get them in now and upgrade to different wheels later.

What problems will be caused, and when i get new wheels will i have to fix/change my springs,.

You don't want 60mm drop springs brad lol you'd have to chop your bump stops I think.

I'd say 50mm drop on kings is just nice. You'd have to replace your shocks after a bit though (Nikich swapped to KYB shocks and they're pretty good). That's the only problem with going lower than 35mm. Shocks become more of an issue. Basically the reason I went coilovers.

I think lower first. Provided you don't go any lower than 50mm you shouldn't have any problems with wheel fitment later on provided you have the correct wheel offsets with the new ones.

When it's lowered you may think it looks ok enough to hold on to the stock wheels for a while and save more money for quite nice ones.

yes if you can afford unfortunately d2 was very average coilover shocks can also blow too. just be prepared

yellow koni shock coilovers the ones made in taiwan when suspension is change you should go for a wheel and steering.

If you're afraid of lowering your car first, don't be as it's the first mod a lot of us get done. Just make sure you save for shocks though as they can go bonkers on you anytime (usually between 6 - 12 months, sometimes 12 - 24) depending how you drive.

Other than that, looks like the guys have covered everything you need :)
