wat's the best way to launch the stivo? i dun really wanna hold the revs at like 4k coz of the noise the damn pipe makes. and i still haven't worked out how much of the clutch to let out or how quick.

Personally I'm still learning how to do this, after all, my Stivo is only 300kms old so it's still a little calf waiting to become a bull.

But all bull aside, is it normal for the Stivo to sturggle to hit lift at this age? Err, or is it my bad driving? :(

launches are funny coz its hard to reproduce a good launch, especially when having a drag.

ever notice that in a traffic situation if there is a gap your able to launch the car very quickly and with minimum wheel spin (i do anyway B) ) but when im next to someone draging them i sometimes stuff it up. its all got to do with being excited, nervous etc.

In other words the best launches for me are when im not looking at the tacho, just look at the road and feel it out.

thats my 2 cents worth of nonsense read and be enlightened

i find that i leave it idleing till a split second b4 it changes and then just hammer the accelerator and release the clutch quikly.

I go off the feel, if it feels a little too high for a launch then it is a little too high, at a guess I would say im launching about 3500 or so but I never looked and holding lift in a shift to second just slip the clutch a little, it won't hurt it too much and you are guaranteed to stay in lift.

I launch at about 3,500 to 4,000 anything under 3,000 and u watch the other person pull away too much, its like it doesnt want to move.

I find if i drop out the clutch with about 3-4000rpm it just dies in the ***** and is sluggish off the mark. but riding the clutch for a slip second seems to give it a nice launch

just below 6,000rpm. CLUTCH launch....not good for the clutch, but best for good launches..

and ride the clutch out and instantly you're in lift.

away you go!
