well it seems that the language is spiralling out of control in recent years to I though I'd sart a list of common words used and their correct spelling and usage...

Anyone feel free to add any more as they see fit :D

as a start....

Prity.....? = pretty

yeh, yer, yar, etc = yeah

I think it's the other way around actually. I read assignments here at uni where they actually submit stuff written this way!!! And then expect to pass!!!

Since it seems as though they don't teach this stuff in school anymore, they need to learn from somewhere... ;)

hehehe............

what i don't get is that some of these so called abbreviations are the same length as the real words so why not just write the full word. same amount of effort is needed.

actually less effort is required as you have to think more about what the bloody abbreviation is...

but if i want to spell something wrong then i have to think twice as hard to do that. the right splling just comes out.

or do u mean if they abbreviate properly then less effort is required.

I went to About.com and came across the funniest abbrviations..

IMHO: In My Humble Opinion

TTYL: Talk To You Later

RTFM: Read The F------ Manual

ITSFWI: If The Shoe Fits, Wear It!

WIBAMU: Well, I'll be a Monkey's Uncle!

POSSLQ: Person of Opposite Sex, Sharing Living Quarters

Does anyone actually use these? HAHAHA

wot = what

ya = your

rive a car = drive a car

take up pick :P = I have no idea what that was supposed to mean

kik = kick

that one was for gengo?

wots = what's = what is
