  1. was looking around for "ryco - cabin air filter (pollen) Part# RCA140P and was quoted the following prices from repco $52 supercheap $40.50 B)
  2. hey sb, it's gus from perth, w.a. just received the cooling panel this arvo
  3. Updated list as of Today. Will check bank account for deposit from Xploshun tomorrow. Cheers Silvabullit. Hey Brennden, count me in. for payment, you still owe me, from the unfulfilled stive pedal order [ $105 ] from november 2005 Gus haven't forgotten and i have also lost more of my own money than just your $105 through a so called wholesaler whose disappeared of the face of the earth with your money as well as $400 of mine I will happily add you to the list and sort the difference out with you when the production run is complete. cheers SB:)
  4. i think stivo rim width range is 5.5"-7", so "215/50R16" should be a close match to factory? diameter, sidewall height, radius and circumference is very close being 0.08% from stock http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp Tyre code Diameter Circumference Difference ---------- -------- ------------- ---------- 225/45 R16 609 mm 1913 mm -1.93 % 205/50 R16 611 mm 1920 mm -1.53 % 215/50 R16 621 mm 1951 mm 0.08 % *** 225/50 R16 631 mm 1982 mm 1.69 % 195/55 R16 621 mm 1951 mm 0 % *** 205/55 R16 632 mm 1985 mm 1.77 % 195/45 R17 607 mm 1907 mm -2.19 % 205/45 R17 616 mm 1935 mm -0.74 % 215/45 R17 625 mm 1963 mm 0.71 % 225/45 R17 634 mm 1992 mm 2.16 % 195/50 R17 627 mm 1970 mm 0.95 %
  5. Ford XR5: 166kw 320nm (from 1600rpm up to 4000 rpm) recaro sport leather seats sony 6-disc stacker 8-speakers ~ $37K there no reason for not choosing the ford xr5, with the demise of the stivo :) see below: http://www.nextcar.com.au/n.ford.focus.2006.XR5.06feb.html http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsid/2050913.008
  6. yes, i have an after market sat nav system [not toyota's though] :) using "globalsat bt338" bluetooth gps with my o2 xda iii pda / smartphone with destinatorPN navigation software. it works very well and have tried and tested in the south west of w.a. ;) you can definately get dedicated all-in-one gps solution for the car that is cheaper than what comes from toyota e.g. navman, mio or tomtom checkout below for approximate pricing: $499 inc gst http://www.ow.com.au/shop/product_info.php...products_id/988
  7. the stivo engine get's very hot under the bonnet, since the cooling panel directs / channels air into the engine bay, it should cool the engine bay temperature down by a few degrees. will know when i receive mine ;)
  8. not according to castrol "568 May also use CASTROL FORMULA R SYNTHETIC 0W-40." http://www.datateck.com.au/lube/castr_au/d...e=67&Model=1618
  9. in perth, w.a. $190 inc gst [safety inspection, change engine oil and oil filter], note: every 5,000km service involves the same car maintenance [engine oil, oil filter] only $140 inc gst [if you change engine oil, and oil filter your self] - however MUST be completed by "certified mechanic" and for warranty use "toyota" oil filter * Funny - the service folks gave me a hard time for using "rico" oil filter, but the were fine with the trd cai :P
  10. my 5 cents: when you next service your engine and transmission oil, feel the toyota's engine / transmission oil and then feel the synthetic oil (e.g. castrol). the synthetic oil feels much smoother, lighter [viscocity]
  11. for engine oil, am using Castrol Formula R Synthetic 0W-40 * SAE 0W-40 * API SL/CF. * ACEA A3/B3/B4 comments: can't notice any diference, but should ensure engine in good nick for transmission oil, am using Castrol Syntrax 75W-90 * SAE 75W/90 * API GL5 comments: smooth gear change
  12. [update] far out! :o front shock [toyota part# 48510] $265.00 inc gst rear shock [toyota part# 48530] $215.50 inc gst installation $231 (to replace two shocks; x2 to replace all 4)
  13. my 5 cents, i think it depends on how one drives? e.g. drive the stivo like a go-kart or like granny i probably would skip the camber kit... feed back please :D
  14. I can confirm that to, I was told the same. ← could confirm if the factory shocks are KYB, when i get mine replaced this week.
  15. metric allen key 6 sided... 8mm I think and i tapped the plug prior to using the allen key
