I've got Sparco Reflex pedals almost installed (have to modify a few things) You guys who have gor racing pedals on, did you drill straight through the plastic accelerator pedal of did you take it off? As I'm thinking of the best way to do it. Why couldnt the pedal be the same as the cluytch/brake and just be a meatal plater underneath that we just drill through!?

Sport1vo - just remember there are a few diff types of sunroof also. I was under the same impression also until I went into the work shop and saw what they do first hand. Now I know why they cost so much also.....a fair bit of work (to do a proper job)

Agree with exhuast mods. Just a query. How small is the stock CAT on the 1zz engines? As I know that every exhaust specialist that I have talked to says that the 2zz is more than ample (unless you are pushig 300+ BHP)

E - I went into one of the shops that does the sunroofs for the dealers, and I can assure you iff you get the proper sunroof. ie electronic sliding one with water channels. it WILL NOT weaken the roof chassis. Infact it will stregthen it. The owner of the store showed me a lancer and a kluger that they were currently doing and he asked me if I could grab one of the roof struts that they had taken out of the lancer. then he asked me to baend it against my knee.......OMFG!!!!! it bend so easy without any pressure at all!!!!! same with the kluger. Then he showed me the units that they put in and where they get anchored also. there is nothing short of at least another 8!!! mounting points that these units use to attach to the chassis....and the unit itself is pretty damn tough. So infact it would strengthen the car not weaken it. But if your putting it into a twin Turbo V12 Jaguar....thats a diff story ;)

Please keep us posted on that one toohey. As I know of a couple of other people who are thinking of the same mod ;)

I loved my old Kona hardtail ...it was sgreat bike to trash around. Now im on a road bike ...TREK 1200 to ride to a from work. loverly colour red too ;)

yowzer - welcome yes it does sound a little like a diesel....I have found it tends to make the sound more when there is a higher level of oil in the engine. (thats not to say let out some of your engine oil at all) but its just a charcteristic of the car. ;)

Sorry guys that last paragraph should have read "Also agree with you pay for what you get ;) ....yes there are cheaper alternatives (which are just as good if not better) to TRD parts and accessories....but remember ]Each To Their Own I hate to have to 'spell' things out for people. Read more into what people right and rather than jump to the conclusion that TRD is the pinacle of tunning parts for our car and that no other brand is capable of coming anywhere close.. We have already touched this topic recently and I DON'T WANT IT TO END UP LIKE LAST TIME. The 'opinions' voiced on this forum are for the benefit of ALL READERS not just the members but also for guests. If someone mentions that they have driven a car with a XXXX brand part and are making comment on it for the benefit of the others. they are in no means saying that brand YYYY is worse or better. Just that this is what they thought. Please guys. take a moment to think about the direction we want this forum to head. In the time that I have been here it has grown in to what I claim to be THE BEST sportivo page in AUS. I'd hate to see a rift occur because brands ego gets in the way. Craig

um yeah!!!........sorry what was that stew? I was looking at michaels avatar....:P Agreed with the TRD clutch. As having driven a Sportivo with one already fitted. IT certainly feels nice and tight with an amazing amount of 'user friendlyness' in the changes. (that and gear selector cables/knob, bushes .....gees almost as nice as a mugen box :P ) Also agree with you pay for what you get ;) ....yes there are cheaper alternatives to TRD parts and accessories....but remember Each To Their Own

Bill, Same thing here mate. I have notified my dealer, everytime I have been in there since day 1. It has been recorded on paper also on many a phone call. Yet as soon as they see CAI and other mods on the car they speculate!!!!! even though the issue was looged when the car was 100% stock with the first 1000 K service I can understand if these issues popped up after the mods had been applied.....but 100% stock.....sorry mr dealer...thats just wrong!!

My insider news is that they are loking at the gearbox ....but its all hush hush....as they dont like the 'racerboy' changing attitude which they think Sportivo drivers have!!!! (the ones whom are complaining of the issue that is)

Ok Guys. Since I've been away and now that I have been back no one has organised any meets!? So I've decided to get the ball rolling again.
