  2. And a single snowflake shall fall from the heavens and rule the kingdom of man+sportivo - confucious 1268
  3. I am currently with AAMI and they are doing a great job with my mods. We have an agreed value of 3X,XXX for the car and all is good. Until next year when they will manualy review my cover and more than likely suggest that I go to a specialist motor vehicle insurer like Just Cars or the lilke. I put just cars to the test one day and asked them for a quote. They initialy came back with 29,000 as the agreed value for the car. I asked to talk to management due to the number of my modifications. .......they came back with 32,000 as the agreed value and I told them to go jump in the lake. Shannons came back with a good agreed value, but wanted $1,900 for my car as it will be used as a daily driver and not only on weekends. I will be hiring the services of a insurance broker next year to do the running around for me. Oh BTW i am 25+ with rating 1 for life (no matter who i go with)
  4. No offence to TRD on this but there are alot better LSD's on the market at the moment. Remember there are a few diferent types of LSD to think of when you purchase one. 1, 1.5 etc. etc. pulley and gear etc etc. So do alot of research before you go to buy one (as also with anymod research, research, research)
  5. Northies start point sounds good......so the start will be Sunnybank Rugy club on the Mucullogh St there at 11.00 am for a 11.30 leave then we will head onto Wellington point for lunch and photos and then onto mt Tambourine if your keen. It's going to be a nice long drive this time. And dont forget to bring UHF radios if you have them.
  6. bullet, yeah mate I though about that but I dont think the red hub looks good!? IMHO I think that when I finally upgrade the rotors (DBA Slotted) I will paint the hubs black. so that they dont take away from the mag wheels and the rotors ;) But they do look scmik on yer car brenden B)
  7. Guys/Gals and peekay :P I had some spare time today so I decided to clean the look of the calipers. Which were already painted red. I ended up cleaning all of the paint of the pads clips etc and repainted the calipers porpelry rather than just covering the rotor and spraying everthing i could see :D and resprayed the clips. I think the new look is a bit more refined. and obviously alot more time consuming.
  8. hahahahaaa At the time of this post i am the ONLY Snowflake.....hahahaa I'm meeeeellttinggggg .....arghhhh
  9. its not a good idea to ever go that low..... but its usualy 5-6 litres i think???

  12. I know I shouldn't post this but hey ( I dont care ) I have recently joined up to a Toyota car club called 'Toyota Car Club Australia - Queensland' (TCCA-Q) Anyway recently they had their annual Show/Shine and Dyno day which I got a phone call about to join in. I did and it was a fun day. I got alot of interest in the car and turned a few heads on the dyno. A few cruises later and meetings etc. The club had is annual presentation dinner for the year. The grlfriend and I attended, and were laughing hard by the end of it as the corolla again turned heads with the awards that it won. (as follows) DYNO - Winner Naturally Aspirated 4 Cyl - Winner Most Powerful FWD Show 'n' Shine - Winner Best Exterior - Winner Best Interior - Winner Best Underbody - Winner Best Boot/Hatch - Winner Best Engine Bay - Winner 1990 - 2004 Contemporary - 1st Place Overall 2004 Show and Shine (2 trophies) The corolla took home 10 trophies in all :D I was the least to say proud of the Sportivos efforts :P I hate to boast guys but I thought someone here might be interested :D
  13. OK I went for a drive on Saturday and decided where we are going for the cruise. The start point is yet to be finalised but we are going to head over to wellington point for lunch and then head down the gateway/m1 to Mt tambourine (brenden I need your help here!) It will be a later start time. around 11.00 -> 11.30 with lunch being around 12'ish I hope. there is a nice fish/chip store and also a restaurant there for eats and drinks I will be getting the maps/guides done as early as I can this week. Would anyone think that Garden City is a good place for the start of the cruise? as its on the right side of town and its a place which most people know well?? Craig P.S Could definate's please PM me with how many people are coming in each car please.
  14. hmmmm maybe northy is blessed by the autogods????? Case#1 - Grabbing a 15.1 at a test and tune event where all the other stivos could manage 15.2 at best!? Case#2 - an extreme speed is a car that in theory cant go that fast without a 6 spped box? I think its time to call Fox Mulder and Dana Scully!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. I just ogt off the phone to TMCA and they are coming to look at my car on the 26th of this month to look at my comlaints of shifting dificulties and crunching gears. Whilst talking to my guy today he also mentioned that "'NO one else' has lodged a formal complaint!" I find this bloody hard to believe, and questioned his source on this topic. He mentioned that the subject of the complaint had to be the same. ie I dictated that I had troubles shifting in low and high RPM. Where other people might be saying that they are having issues with 'crunching gears' Either way he basically said that nothing had gotten to this level of TMCA. Can anyone on this forum please contact me in regards to this issue. As I need some 100% figures that I can come back with on this topic. What I need is a copy of the email and or letter that you have sent and or details and phone numbers of people/dealers that you have reported the issue to. Thanks Craig PM me or email CSADLER@INCO.COM
  22. OK guys I have decided that the 24 of October is going to be our next cruize. The place is yet to be decided but atleast we can set a date and go from there. Danthuyer Shao Stoopidhead Sportivo Rice Sportiv DeathZone Silvabullet Mtbrider jimmywasaracecardriver map81 rollamods Hames Northy Anyone else I have missed???????????????
  23. im th famous tones made by Homer J Simpson "hmmmmmmmmm ......... Sportivo *drools*" Simple as that Chompies. Most of the guys have covered what I would say apart from one thing. BUY A WHITE ONE!!!!!!!!!! dont go for black ...there are too many :P :P :P (had to do it guys) But as you can see from the savings you get from the Stivo over the SP put into some simple mods ie. suspension you will have a great little 5 door hatch that the family can use which is cheap to run, handles well, reliable and hell as fun to drive (remember also that recall work makes the car better for da-day driving) I'm not too biased.........oh what the h3ll yes i am STIVO STIVO STIVO
  24. hahhaaaa Tivomatt - I have used the nokia car kit which plugs into the ciragrete lighter with its own speaker. By hard wiringin in behind the cosole and drilling a hole into the back left corner of the top drawer. the cable for the phone comes in there and the microphone sits up on the A-pillar. The phone is set to auto answer when on the handfree setting (setup in profiles) So all you see is the mic and thats it. the only cons is that you have to manually turn the stereo off if it rings and open a door to plug/unplug....but it works very well :D
  25. I use mothers products for all of my interior (dash, plastics and leather). Stoopidhead, Shao and Northy can all confirm that it's a spotless interior B) I got the tip from another mate who's a car detailer. All I can say is you will never regret it ;)
