  1. Yet again the TRD CAI has shown itself to be one of the best bang for your buck (TRD) upgrades that we can do for both the 1zz-fe and the 2zz-ge engines :D With an average of 6 - 8 kW at the wheels improvement YAY for northy :) :D :P

  4. Sorry I worded that a little wrong. Yes you are right Blue, in that its NOT part of the recall but alot of people are trying to get the cables done at the same time to save time and effort. 'Hence' my original question :)
  5. One thing that seems to be aparent in the talk of the recent recall, is that alot of dealers have not heard anything about the gear selector cables that can/are to be replaced along with the ECU and air cap. If anyone (esp. the WA boys) could supply the rest of us with the part number for the cable. That would be greatly appreciated, and also stop alot of us ripping our hair out from niave and or stupid toyota service reps.
  6. welcome tangcla :D nice ride.....VERY nice ;)
  7. ummm.....they were only supposed to be sent out on Monday the 23rd. Patience my child ;)
  8. I read an interesting article in a magazine (europe) about rolling up the inside of arches for such particular cases. Basically you go to town on the inside of your arch with a blow torch and a hammer and then you use a baseball bat to roll it out and make it smooth again. Although this kind of work is to be taken very easily at any time and dont go too gun ho other wise you end up with nice big bulges in your arches which dont look cool. If anyone is interested in the article I can post it for you.?
  9. Ill let shao answer that Q if he wants to ZEE ;)
  10. Was a great day indeed :D "YAY NORTHY!!!" Was great to see the Stivo and ascent/levin guys geeting together and having a good time on the track. We could literally do a run then drive back and line up again (which we did numerous times) Was good to also race against someone other than Shao although we managed to have our fair share in our personal 'grudge match' ;) Once things have been finished with the recall we will hit the track again and see how the times differ :D

  16. I have been out of australia now for a bit over 6 weeks. I am finally starting to tear my hair out :( I miss my rocket . It doesnt help either that I dont have alot of time to jump online and check the forums......its driving me nuckin futs the good thing is that only a week or so to go ...then im back in aus and back in action :D
  17. I asked toyota to remove all of my badging bar the toyota 'round' logo on the boot. and that has now ben replaced by the Camry 'sportivo' badge (nice and black) Although the one i did remove myself was just to leave the car outside in the sun for a bit and then carfeully pull it off without twisting it (one good thing about QLD weather :P ) The camry badging is slightly smaller than the stock chrome one,so you have to cut off the 2 pins and then line it up right and use a soft black pencil to draw the marks on where you want to stick it...then stick :)
  18. Northy, looks nice mate ;) that new front bar does make the front a bit more aggresive not a fan of the tearduct though on the lights (IMHO) Now lets get a few more things on that bad boy before I get back ;)
  19. Well done buddy ;) along with yourself and hames we are doing the QLD boys proud on the track. Wish i could have been there. as soon as i get back the big mods are going in and we are hitting the drags and the track ;) DAMN i miss my rolla :( BTW - have not seen a single bloody T-sport since I have been here
  20. Well the wedding tat we came over for happened on Saturday. I had been training my liver all week for this event with at least 5 pints of larger each night The day was fantastic. Beatiful church in Cheadle followed by a fantastic reception outside Leek on a private homestead. They also have 2 receptions here. A formal one with only close family and friends, then the doors are open to anyone who wants to come in and enjoy a drink (not free bar ) Anyway I had ALOT to eat and drink over the weekend and here are the pics
  21. I hate to be a prude and a stick in the mud but shouldnt we be placing these kinds of posts in the buy/sell section of the forums .....if at all??? I know people tend to head straight to the corolla section and tend not to look in other areas.
  22. Norhty there are a few places. you really have to look round and shop hard. Shao got his at tint express tint and it looks V V nice. I got mine done at MEP films, Stoopid...i cant remember they were all around 200-300$ though and all the jobs were fantasic. Do your homework and ask some more ppl around here in brissy ;)
  23. Shao glad to see the new wheels B) and rubber are finaly on mate ;) just a shame it couldnt of happened before I left :( Looking V V Sexy (the rolla not U :P ) Influx - had a quick squiz at your ride one the link. Beleive it or not you and I have very similar tastes, even down to the decals on the bonnet ;) and as you say on the post your evil twin ;) this is very much the case when Shao and I get together in Brisbane. although he is the more sedate driver of the two of us I am the mad man :D

  25. Finished the Stag nights a few days ago, had a lot of fun. He hired 2 narrow boats and headed on down the canals down towards middlewitch and northwitch. Our top speed was only 4 mile an hour so it took a fair while to get anywhere but we weren’t really concerned. The drinking usually started shortly after waking up and recovered from the night before. All of the boys loved my berocca tablets. They called them the life savers. We stopped at the “Big Lock” on the first night and had dinner. Then we stopped at “The Broken Cross” for lunch on the second day where Vanessa’s brother Joff and one of Tom’s best men James caught up. The bar maid had great assets. We kept on going to the “Leigh Arms” hotel for dinner again. After drinks finished we went onto another pub for a quick chat when all of a sudden one of the guys came in saying that Vanessa’s car was in the car park. We all came outside and it was. There was also 2 bodies in the back with a blanket over them ‘sleeping’ on closer inspection I noticed that it was Pam in the back and not Vanessa. Then Ness came around the corner. Apparently they were looking for our boats and they were going to do something to them but they couldn’t find them. So we foiled their plans. I had a real bad headache that night so I called it early and took a couple of panadol and went to bed. The next morning we had to turn the boats around and head back. The only place that was wide enough for us to turn was only a few 100 meters up the canal. Although it was a very tight area and there were other barges on the side making it harder to turn around. We managed okay though with no one falling in the canals. We headed on back stopping at the same pubs on the way back. Got some really nice photos also. When it was my time to drive the boat we came to a very thing section with a few tunnels. At one stage we came out of a very tight corner and then had to go over to one side of the canal so we could line up properly for the tunnel. When I came over to do this I managed to hit the boat on the side of the canal. Not too hard at all but there was a lady standing on the bank shouting at me saying “You’re a fool why did you do that?” she was very ****** off. Then one of the guys pointed out that I had killed a signet (baby swan) and the carcass was floating in the canal. Needless to say I was the butt of all jokes or the rest of the weekend especially when there were birds dogs or cattle in the water. I also gained the nickname of “signet slayer” and over here swans are her majesty’s royal bird. So we were all expecting the lady to go to the cops and say something about it. But it has been great weather here also. The last 2 days of the canals were sunny and a lot of the guys got sun burnt. Heading out this week to a few of the theme parks etc. Have also seen a few VERY VERY nice cars going around. a few aston martin vanquish's and various old type jags, yes even a few D Types :D One thing I have noticed about modified cars over here is they love phantom paint (diferent colours on diff angles) and they use HUGE! front bars with very small lights. giveing the car a very deep looking front. quite ugly if you ask me.
