  1. Guys, The other weekend I was invited to an all Toyota day at FIST Audio and Performance (Wacol) The event was held by the Toyota Car Club of Australia QLD and included a Show and Shine aswell as a DYNO competition (also got a free lunch) I went along and decided to enter in both events. It was a fun day meeting a new bunch of people and getting alot of Q's about the rolla ;) There were alot of old supra's, soarer's and celica's, but not alot of corollas. There was only 2 infact, myself and a stock ae111 sedan. (untill stoopidhead turned up for a bit) Anyway to cut a long story short this is a Great club with alot of new blood being injected into it. They are an offical club and often have cruises, events etc. I would 'STRONGLY' recommend any of my fellow Corolla owners in QLD to have a look at this club and see what they think. Contact - Eric Ruyg 0418742710 / jungle@powerup.com.au ---------------- Upcoming events ---------------- Sep 12 Cruise - Mt mee with lunch at Morgans in redcliffe. 2. mine was $250 shipped
  3. FINALLY!!! I got through to toyota and told them about the parts with #'s (BIG THX TO BILL) and told them that I know its only a test but my gearbox/changing is geting on rediculous (its not but thats what I tell them ;) ) They finally got back to me yesterday and I'm booked in for next week to get it all fitted. Can we just have a show of hands (PM me please) as to those who have had the cables/knob done and have found it to be an improvement?? Ta Dan
  4. Which light??? mine or peekay/6??
  5. give it till over 500K's then you will feel a difference. Im 800+ after last week and it certainly feels better after the 500K 'learning curve'
  6. mine should be working by the end of the week. Although mine doubles as a retina scanner where it is mounted (those who have seen it know)
  7. No need to do that Stu. Big things are coming shortly, after a talk to a U.S based company the other day.........*rubbing hands together* Oh and BTW I love the snowflake comment very cool ...haha get it 'COOL!' But on going with that last photo from E-gene.......I was 'all over his car' literaly :P
  8. Melbourne , melbourne, melbourne...................always bloody melbourne :P Never dismiss the black sheep (aka shao) or the white rocket (aka moi) MUHAHAHAHAAAAAA
  9. Stu you mention that Red Stivos go faster!?!?!?!.........yet I am still to see a ticket from the drags to prove otherwise??? Both yourself and paul are rumored to have some serious moving cars. But unlike Shao and myself you have no ticket to prove it. As far as this forum is concerned the 2 fastest Stivos here happen to be Shao and myself!!! both running 15.2 pre recall and both with tickets to prove it...........and guess what.....NIETHER OF THEM ARE RED!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P :D :D :D :D :D :) :) :) :)
  10. Exactly Chris. You dont need figures ;) only the difference in performance needs to be shown :D
  11. mark - should post this into the workshop section also ;) and add it to our ever growing technical database
  12. As We can see from the graph everybody's comments on improved midrange torque and power are substantiated. A signifigant gain in both areas. Two big thumbs up for toyota :D :D
  13. Previously talked about Yeah we found this a while ago.........they beleive that *** will judge them and if they have done nothing wrong then they go to their equivalant of heaven........hence why they drive live that and do those things.....
  14. Click on the Photo again to zoom to original size Electrical Wiring Diagram
  15. Bill if I could kiss you if I could.....then again maybe not....dont want to start any rumors !!!

  17. It has been raining here all day so it hasnt been the best day to get the recall work done. But needless to say in the wet the wheels spin when im in a straight line now when i put the foot down in 2nd gear.....and 3rd almost looses grip (WITHOUT LIFT!!!!) Certainly feels like there is almost a new mid range cam when you are between 4000 - 6000 RPM. Havent had a chance to play in lift yet due to the weather. I will save that for the weekend ;) So far I'm impressed. Feels like a new car altogether. 8 out of 10 rating so far with dry tests to come :D
  18. Guys, Just got a call from my mate at F.I.S.T. Performance and Audio at Wacol. TCCAQ are having a Big day there this Sunday the 5th Starting at 9.am There is a Show and Shine $5.00 Entry Aswell as DYNO runs $45.00 Entry (limited to 20 places........only 4 left) If anyone is interested in going please call ERIC - 0418 742 710 OH and BTW....he knows of our little Rolla group up here....as soon as I mentioned Sportivo group he knew exactly who we were!!!.....I think we made a good impression at the last toyota day on our initial cruise B)
  19. I think that miss match of drags came down to the driver and not the car myself ;)
  20. So how many people have actually got the new cables and gear knob??? As I have numerous times called my dealer for information on this issue. He finally called Matt's dealer (thx for the number btw) on which he comes back to me with "The gear selector cables that you are talking about are not a 'fix' for the issue and have not been released by Toyota officaily" " There fore we wont be getting it done for you!" If this is the case then how come people here in the Forum and coming back with positive results?? Where are toyota getting these so called ' no resolve' comments from... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  21. OMFG!!! nice....V nice ta Stu
  22. You sure it wasnt one of my videos from the drags the other weekend??? Or even Northy :P
  23. I called my service manager and talked to him before my letter arrived and booked myself in for Tuesday of this week. Dont forget the 200-500K runin' procedure boys
  24. Oil temp needs to be 70+ Deg Celcius if my memory serves me correct before it can reroute the oil and engauge the lift mechanism. So hence why if you go too hard too early all you get to is the 5-6K RPM the same thing happens when you are in neutral and rev the engine. It will not engauge lift at all and will bounce at 6K RPM i think.
