  1. I went to a Toyota Dealership today and tried to pick up a set of the slimline weathershields and "primer" so I can fit them myself and was told by the guy at the counter that they don't sell the primers and have also said that they have only ever sold the slimline weathershields without the primer!! Not sure whether the primer is already included as part of the slimline kit?? I thought I have read somewhere on another thread that the primer is in the form of wipes. Can someone please confirm what the primer looks like? In the end I did not make the purchase as I was getting conflicting information about the primer from the spare parts guy and not sure whether I have all the bits to mount the weathershield.
  2. Just thinking about what SecaBoy said about the factory Sat-Nav units... Does the new facelift Presaras with the factory Sat-Nav have the Aux function? If it does, does this mean the factory Sat-Nav in the new Presaras have the F14 connector attached and enabled??
  3. Thats really bad luck Thanks for trying I guess you've tried the different pads/connections to find F14-6 (ADPG)....
  4. Steven, I was wondering if you can take a look at your factory Sat-Nav and determine whether there are any connectors near where the F14 plug is supposed to be located based on the attached diagram from NS-176? I am hoping there are something there that the F14 plug is supposed to be connected to and we may be able to use them for the mod....
  5. Steven, I though shane_85 said in Post #4 to use the following connections if you have a factory Sat-Nav unit: So im ASSUMING (i know its bad to assume but it paid off for me!) from the manual you will be looking at F14-6(ADPG) to F9-20(GND) - enable the AUX ....through 1K resistor that is F14-2(VAR+) - Right Signal, F14-3(VAL+) - Left Signal & F14-5(VA-) - Signal Ground/Shield Are you able to locate the F14 connector on the back of the factory Sat-Nav? I too have a factory Sat-Nav and I am going to do this mod in the next few days.... I guess I should wait to see which connector I should be using before ripping out the factory Sat-Nav...
  6. Anyone know what the new facelift Aurions use - rubber or hardline??
  7. Very happy with my Presara... Pros: All the gadgets and toys, great engine with lots of grunt and excellent fuel consumption. Cons: Leather seats are on the firm side and the dreaded squeeks and creaks in the dash - hopefully the new model have fixed this common issue for the old model. You won't be disappointed. :D
  8. I have the same colour and 4n3 is officially called Titan Silver, however, it's also commonly called beige or champagne as well.
  9. Sorry to hear that your car is just out of warranty. :( Is it still under 3 years old? I am sure Toyota will still honour the warranty if your car is still under 3 years old and had just reached 100,000kms, given that this is a known issue with their cars (the Service Rep said that they have fixed a few RAVs as well!!). Can't hurt to ask!! Good luck. ;)
  10. Just called my local Toyota Dealer and they are putting an order in for the replacement parts before booking my car in to have them fitted.... :D
  11. I think I have the same problem with my Presara. I have noticed a slight knock and the car not rolling smoothly when turning at very low speeds. I have wondered whether it was normal and thought nothing of it as this only happens every now and then. Thanks heaps for posting this - I'll call my local Toyota Service Department soon to see whether I can get the problem fixed under warranty. Cheers!
  12. Thanks Rolla Boy, I'll give it a try tonight and let you know. Cheers
  13. Thanks for the tip, fortunately, the routes that I normally use does not have too many trucks so I think I am okay. However, it only takes ONE truck!!! :( :( :(
  14. Thanks Daryl, thats comforting to know that I can remove the parcel shelf without having to remove the back seat.
  15. Thanks guys - I'll check to see whether the plug is easily accessible from the boot. Just hope I don't have to remove the back seat to get to it. Cheers.
  16. I have ordered a spoiler for my Presara and was wondering what is the easiest method to disable the stop light in the back window. As the spoiler already has LED stop lights, I don't want the existing back window stop lights to come on - I think it will look a bit funny with two stop lights on top of each other when looking from the back of the car. Thanks in advance for any advice! :D :D
  17. What is sleep mode and how do you activate it?
  18. This same car was advertised for $39,500 drive away at Wight's Motor World at the moment - see link below... http://www.wights.com.au/default.cfm?fusea...ockCode=4002685 TOYOTA AURION SPORTIVO ZR6 2008 Wights Motor World Price: $39,500.00 Drive Away Enquire Now Kms: 3000 Year: 2008 Stock #: 4002685 Registration: WSG-769 Sporty top of the range Toyota Aurion ZR6 sedan....finished in classy White duco with matching black leather trim...Powerful 3.5V6 200KW with 6 speed Automatic...Climate control...Cruise control...6 Stack CD Player...Alloy wheels....LOW LOW Kilometers and priced to CLEAR !!!....Just $39,500.00 DRIVE AWAY NO MORE TO PAY !!!!!
  19. Based on the VIN, the Toyota Service Advantage website lists the car as a white ZR6 (which matches the photos) and have not claimed the first 15,000km service as yet. Congratulations! Your vehicle is eligible for Toyota Advantage. Your vehicle details are: VIN: 6T153KK400X318368 Vehicle Description: Aurion Sportivo ZR6 3.5L PETROL Automatic Sedan Vehicle Colour: Diamond White Toyota Advantage End Date: 27 February 2012 and the unclaimed services are: Service Description Service Fee (includes GST) 17/07/2009 10:14:57 Unless you can check the car out in person and made sure it's not stolen or do not have any money owing, I would be very suspicious! $13K for a 2008 ZR6 with very low kms!!!
  20. I think the TRD that I was looking at has been sold!! It's no longer listed on the dealers website. I suspected that it won't last long at that price!!
  21. The $35K price for the TRD3500SL is the cheapest one I've seen so far and I don't think they're prepared to budge. The Sales Manager said there were a few people taking the car for a test drive even with the crap weather!! I don't think this car will last long at $35K.... if I didn't have the Presara, I would have bought it! :D
  22. Yeah, I was looking at that TRD and had a test drive yesterday - it wasn't the greatest day for a test drive as the weather was quite bad and it rained all day. I did noticed that extra power of the SC on some straight stretches, however, due to the wet conditions, I decided not to throw the car around too much. You're right on the insurance, I called my insurer and the only extra is an additonal excess of $400 for a performance car - the base premium is still based on the sum insured. From inside the car it does seem like a downgrade as the TRD was missing quite a few luxury items as compared to the Presara, however, the car does look good from the outside. The Sales Manager took me for the test drive and he was going to give me $28K for my Presara, given the $35K price for the TRD, the change over including stamp duty is around $8.5K. I have decided to keep the Presara and may be spend some of the money on changing some of the visual aspects of the car.
  23. Yeah, the TRD that I am looking at is at another dealer and it does not have the Moonroof/Satnav option - I guess I can add the Auspac HU myself but I have gotten used to the factory Satnav unit in the Presara and I also like the unit's bluetooth function as well. I guess it's not such a large jump from a Sportivo ZR6 to the TRD given that you already have the body kit and stiffer suspension. I like your idea of spending the change over cost on the current Presara with body kit, wheels, suspension etc...
  24. Thanks for your comments - my head agrees with you but my heart still reckons it's worth it.... :D I still have not driven one yet so I still need to be convinced that it's worth the extra money to get the TRD. Also, it's not just the initial change over cost - it's the additional on-going running costs such as higher insurance premiums, higher fuel consumption and 98 RON fuel etc. I'll post an update after I had a test drive and find out the change over cost.
