  1. I finished of my car today after applying 2 coats of NXT 2.0 over 2 days with P21S Concours Carnauba Wax (original) and then finally with Mothers Reflections Top Coat yeah not bad looking allot better than MG NXT 2.0 on its own.

but i think i will go back to using Zaino Z-2 Pro Paint Polish then P21S Concours Carnauba Wax (original) & then Mothers Reflections Top Coat

I highly recomend the zanio z-2 see for your self's (give it ago it also doesn't change the colour of car by making it darker) then compare

overall MG NXT tech wax 2.0 is good but Zanio is the beez neezs

    Zanio Z-2 - http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...show_car_polish

    P21S Concours Carnuaba wax - http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...rs_carnauba_wax

    Mothers Refelections - http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...ctions_top_coat

PS reason why MG NXT 2.0 don't last is cause its a sealer and needs to be waxed.....

  2. Happy Easter as well to those that celebrate it. I'm just in it for the chocolate since I don't have a religion.

On a side note, this thread probably would have been best put in say the "Club Lounge". It isn't really Aurion specific and others should be able to join in on this discussion as well. It is good to participate within the community. It's threads like this that lead to discussions that end with statements like this (wise words from SB I must add):

I agree with Micky 100000000000000000000000 % that aurion owners need to remember that this is a "TOYOTA" owners club and is not model specific to one model but moreso to all models.

Not sure about the other states but up here in Brissy we have a couple of Aurion owners who frequent the meet ups and events and they are welcomed by all the other toyota owners no matter what they drive or their age.

There are plenty of other sections apart from model specific ones that you can participate in(in Misc and workshop sections) and become apart of this forum as a whole and not just an offshoot that almost alienate yourselves from everyone else.

  3. u too mate :D got all next week off so i should find some enjoyment out of that :)

good time to bring out the fine tooth brush and go over the car :D I might look at painting some engine bay parts

yeah going gold on badges electro plated just rear, removing the aurion badging on doors , and headlights getting replaced with the tinted ones like the trd

so far picture don't do it justice but allot of people have commented how good the gold rims suit the white just the head light cause there chrome so that why iam getting them repalced with the dark tinted head lights like the TRD

should all be fine then oh and they said 1 million percent lowering:-)

plus i saw a white Aurion with 18's similar to the pattern i have in rims black and no thanks black definaly a no for me gold or white

when u see the car in real life then you get to understand how things look compared to mobile phone 1meg photo.

  4. yeah i know guys thats next on my agenda lowering and fog lights.

other priorities come first when you have mortgage and family specially possibly with twins on the way in October

its the profile that makes it decevieng because the Aurion is actually quite large vechile.

  5. I've been looking at my aurion and geez visually 20's with 30 series profile look small for the car... if 22 inch would permit they would look supa hot on the Aurion.

    what's everone else's thoughts?

  8. In a way you are lucky to have a white car when using the NXT 2.0 wax. The one thing that really annoys me about the NXT is that it has a greasy finish to it and requires a fair bit of buffing to make it smooth. You would think everything is fine in daylight, but then night comes and you can see an oily looking finish under the moonlight. On a darker colour car you really notice this, but on a lighter colour it blends in. Regardless, it is a great wax for a deep shine.

The NXT 2.0 wax isn't as durable as a carnauba wax but if you were after the look and not so much the protection, then it is worth the effort of frequent re-application.

In answering the first question, no it does not strip off previous layers of wax. This specific wax is able to be layered on for a more durable finish. For best results, you should wait 12 hours between re-application but for a majority of people, this is not really an option. If you don't really have the time and would like to do a second (or third layer), wait at least two hours after the first bufffing so that it can get some time to cure a little.

Apply some carnauba wax over the top of the MG texh wax. works well

  9. O.k Lads,

Iam very happy after being to 2 diffrent toyota dealers ships for the rust spot and other things toyota wiped there hand clean and said they didn't want to do anything with it.

Which was very dissapointing and I ended up taking the car to another dealer ship he didn't look to kean or intrested i then spoke tp the service manager who makes the final decesion and guess what?

He had a look at the car and agreed that this should of not happened and it was a factory defect and that he was going to repair in under warranty

I then started to mention that if could check the gearbox on the diagnotics and print a graph to see if was flaring between certian gear he had no issue for them to run a test when it gets repaired for rust. I also told that i noticed leaf noise on Aurion air con he also he would look at it for me.

After that he start talking to me how nice my aurion looked with 20's and that the gold rim set it off and the extra work i have done to it etc he then pointed to his TRD Hilux black it looked awesone done up with nice wheels on it too . this guy must of been 60 years old.

cut story down short it's luck i supouse on who you get and when and where others are more helpful and willing than others.

I suppouse he was a car enthusiast.

  10. I ended up striping my old wax with mother wax cleaner.

I then applied MG NXT Gen 2.0 what a bitch it was to apply on white based car i couldn't really see it unless i angled my self making sure i applied to all areas.

final finsh impressed it seem to give more of reflective shine than what carnubwa wax does but it didn't give a depth look as carnubwa wax did.

time it takes to re apply not sure will soon find out.

  11. Hi,

Iam always a believer to give products a go

so my question is does it remove the old wax on your car the MG NXT Tech Wax? if not can you apply it over the top?

I don't like the idea applying diffrent product over the top of each other as you don't get the proper result

  12. door moulds what there called.

will see how we go the photo's don't do it any justice but people that were against it with golds when they saw it said nice but also said it needed lowering 100%.

but they also like the colour coding of the grill, mirror coners, roof spoiler back window and the lip boot spoiler and mud guards.

I have yet to put the eye lids yet due to panel beater loosing one grrrrrrrrr also if anyone want to go halfs in shipment of spoiler kit slightly diffrent to the oz version we could get them shipped for about 500 to 600 each spoiler kit & shipment

but my next pay will go springs kings as they i don't want it low like peddars - kings make 3 diffrent lowering springs for the Aurions

25mm settles to 30mm and45mm lowering springs and some ridiculous 60mm which make the car look awesome but un drivable

  14. hmmm woulda looked better if it was a one piece

    are they 2 piece?

I think because of the way it's shaped and due to the shadow on it, it appears as a two piece. Looking at the bottom part of where the dip in it is, it seems like it is a one piece. Maybe it's because of the colour it was painted.

They are one piece but if you look at your lights there is a sharp ridge in the transformation from the front to the side that's what you can see with a bit of reflective light on it.

I have been out and about today and had lots of comments - all positive. I'm very happy with the black. It doesn't show in the picture so much but the whole effect of the eyelid is very subtle.

Like everything on our cars WE see all the detail but most people could see something different to the norm but couldn't figure out what straight away.

Personally, at the moment, I think colour coded would look good but would basically disappear and not really do anything. I like the contrast and the fact it adds more black - which for me is good!

I am changing my rims to these next week (19x8 rims 245x40 tyres) - see photo below and I think it's all starting to come together...
