  1. look like Iam going to stick to Nankangs was under the impression that the Archillies where correct load rating when i went get them fitted today they were 90 load rating.

So now i have to wait till sunday for Nankangs $240 tyre chepest I found them fitted and balanced.

if i went to 35 series we have allot more to choose from but loose the ability to lower thecar without scrubbing.

  2. you may like the ride I have never tried them in aurion but had them in series 2 rx7 and like i said at first they were great fealt driffrent but after while it just became to much bouncing around.

i hated them in saying that i have just gone out and bought 20 inch rims with 30 series tyres i have very strong gut feeling that iam going to hate the ride feeling all the bumps.

but i will try if i don't like i will sell iam like grandfather like to cruise in style but wilth the comfort of upmarket car manufatures.

nothing beat comfort drives u learn to enoy the quite , smooth comfy drive - there's other like big fat pipes that make useless noise and cut down springs teenage hoons but to them that look and sound cool hairing a farting noise sound from the muffler.

I been there done it but Iam over it & there no right or wrong here we all have our personel prefrence on how we want to pimp our rides.

so hope u didn't take the post as an attack it was just my view and experience in previous set up.

    Cheers

  3. for all you people in 20 inch club for refrence can you post following details

yokahama advance sport V103 (245/35/ZR20)around $600ea.lowered Pedders.load rating 95y.great tyre, quiet, smooth, and heaps of GRIP.worth every cent the only thing i dont know yet is how many KMs i will get out of em.

yeah nice tires i don't know if Iam prepared to spend that much money per tyre even been quoted $900 each per tyre I suppouse i can spend that money on other mods for the car. to bling it out :toast:

i hope it never happens but maybe the money i spent on tyres will one day protect my car & mods and any future mods but most importantly me and the missus.have a think about the rubber ive had cheapies before and frankly ya get what ya pay for so if ya can save a little longer you wont regret it.PROS safe, quiet, smooth, load rated, very good grip.CONS cost cost cost $$$$$ (but worth it).

You have point in safety - but at the same time too me or the mrs ain't no hoons to drag race the car or speed at a ridicoulous speed and with today technology most tyres are fine for every day normal driving at the end of the day where not circuit racing or drift racing where maxium traction is needed.

all tyres need to meet a standard in Oz before there allowed to be sold

what it boils down too is you pay more for tyres to gain comfy and less road noise. thats what the cheaper tyre lacks

  4. my personal prfrence I would never buy some again i even gave mine away for swap back to stock.

coil over are meant for smooth race tracks with no bumps and humps unless you want it bumping up and down and shake and rattle go for it at first you think its cool ride after while you relise nah this is so un cool and **** ride.

thats me other people like feeling the ripples of the rd bouncing up and down.

+ overtime they will leak oil out of them and drip onto your concrete as there designed to bleed

  5. My Eyelids have arrived 5 working days after I placed the order and paid via PayPal.

The service from this company has been fantastic and I will definitely have no hesitation dealing with them again.

So, they arrived as a grubby sort of native ABS plastic white. They fit perfectly, so all I have to do is paint them.

Here's where I want some advice.

My car as you can see is Gold. I think black against the gold looks really cool and I first intended to have the eyelids black

and I still think that's what I'll do, after all I can always go back and have them re-sprayed gold can't I?

I am only concerned it might look a bit like a girl with too much black eye lid make-up; no disrespect intended to any Aurion Girls :whistling:

    What do you guys think?

and, would you say the black is satin or matte - I think satin...

Would a VHT type spray paint look right or should I get them sprayed professionally to an exact match to the black on the car already?

    Whew! decisions decisions

Yeah I have dealt with them over 5 times and 5 day seems to be standard delivery time but don't expect the tracking number to be traced every time i have tried to trace it its come up with no tracking number in system. so don't panic its still on its way I guess there data entry people might be bit slow entering data into there hi tech postal system. heheheh

yeah not sure about matt black will look bit odd personally colour coded to gold will look awesome that my opoin any way everyones taste is diffrent.

  7. just do u dont forget? :P

I kind of like it when people don't know what model car I have. But then you get the others that call it a Camry.

Everyone has there own option and thats what makes us individuals but I rather people know its an Aurion rather than holden or ford as people have mistaken it for from distance before they saw the badges.

but then again badgeless car is also mystry to some that arn't familiar with cars and keeps them wondering what car that is.

  12. 313 you still unhappy with your nankangs?

    whitetstivo

no i think there good but they are loud, at 100 fairly load, around corners dont loose traction but are loud, braking is great and so is traction on acceleration, but for 30 profile they are reasonably soft so the ride isnt that harsh. Also alot of people said they last ages so time will tell.

BUT...they are the only tires in 30 profile that complies with that load rating on the aurion, otherwise i would have gone another brand

They are loud cause there a performance tyre and is road directional you will find most of them are loud.

I don't think I would call Nankang a performance brand tire. They also aren't noisy due to its directional properties. What makes it noisy is that it is a hard compound tire. This would equate to being less grippy but longer wearing, in which I can say the Nankangs definitely do last.

A performance tire will most likely have a softer compound and typically (but not always) as a result, have less road noise.

Tyres have road noise cause of directional and the pattern of the tyre the more agressive the tread is the more road noise you will get but at same time too more grip

  13. Anyway I have purchased the rims Advanti Vienna's light gold 20's how can you pass a $800 for 4 new rims of ebay at worst if they don't look good I spoke to my panel beater who is going to paint my boot lip and rear window spoiler and grill and colour code my mirror qtrs and mudflaps he said he will charge me $60 per rim to spray what colour i want in 2 pak.

I thought of silver rims but hey once damage thet cannot be re chromed and most companys only give 1 year warranty on the chrome not pivoting and discolour etc then only option is to spray the centres or get new wheel.

Hopefully in 2 weeks all will be done :-)
