Not the best picture I've ever taken.. Just for you to visualize how it sits on ur car. I'm glad to meet up in person b4 the national meet if u wanna see the actual thing.
And ignore the front crack.. Some fa**ot cracked my grill during the anzac long weekend.
Looks good! I'll just keep thinking about it, haha.
Thanks.

I think doing that the other way around leaving the four center lines red doing the outside black atm the front kinda doesn't look finished.
Good on you for doing it as well Ingres not many people would do that.

Sweet, good to see Andrew.
Is there a carwash or somewhere to wash the car around Castle Hill Toyota or Crowne Plaza Norwest Sydney?
There is one attached the the Shell on Norwest Bvd in Baulkham Hills.
It seems popular during the day when I walk past it for lunch.

Hey u54mot, If ur still after it, I can prolly do somethin..
I'm very indecisive. How do you intend to source it?
You've got to post more picture of your car with it on!
Thanks!

yeah nxt spray wax is like the ugly smelly kid of the meguiars family... if you want a good spray detailer, go for ultimate quik detailer
oh and for polish.. yeah they are both pretty much the same except m07 is friendlier to use with a DA
but IMO get yourself some M205 ultra finishing polish and prepare to be amazed at the depth and reflections you get hands down my favorite meguiars product!
Yeah i've got at least four bottles of the Ultimate Quik Detailer, i've got a bottle of Ultimate Quick Wax, but haven't used it yet, also have the Meg's Wash N Wax, still haven't used that yet.
I'll get around to trying M205 one day.
Thanks.

hmm what if i colour code the four center lines to black??.. hmm.. think it will look better? anyone with good photoshop skill can help me on that?
Ask and you shall receive.

what products do you use u54mot? having a black aurion would lead to some insane deep gloss! i would love to have a black aurion for that very reason...
I've got all Meguiar's ....i've got one Mirror Glaze product which is the poilish the M07...but i think it's the same as the Polish in the 3 Step Process.
I'm using one Mother's Product which is the FX Spray Wax. I've also used the NXT Spray wax, which is rubbish, haha.
My list is sort of the same as your's with the exception of all the Mirror Glaze products.
-
Davo,
Where are you sourcing all the Mirror glaze products? Also are you buying it in 1.9L/3.8L or the 473mL?
Oh yeah, and thanks for the offer in the other topic.
I think i may source some of the Meguiar's stuff from the U.S. soon.
Thanks.
Edit: Davo, what is your opinion on Paste Vs Liquid Wax. I've always used liquid.
-
Yeah agree with Daryl, in the long run, just make sure you end up with everything! haha
How much were you quoted for the tyres?
-
Nice Hotplate, why is it mounted sideways? how can you cook anything on it?
That looks very good!, neat, and clean.

If you want leather, i'd say go for the Prodigy. Since the touring is cheap, there will be higher demand on the vehicle and less room to move on the price. While everyone is buying the Touring, less people will be buying the Prodigy, the upper spec'd models always have a higher margin. I would wait another month if possible, and just offer the dealer about $37500 for a Prodigy. But if you after a $32000 Touring, be firm, don't let them set the price, you set the price, and then walk if they don't give it to you, or just tell them you'd rather purchase a Hyundai i45.
I haven't bought a vehicle recently, so i wouldn't know too much about current prices. But just wait, someone on the forum will give you a better answer on pricing.
Also watch out for what they try to sell you, after you've agreed to purchase the vehicle.
Only purchase the tinting at the dealer, if they offer it to you for under $250, otherwise go after market.
Good luck with the haggling, and purchasing.

Haha thanks davo putting the kappas is a priority I've had enough of looking at them in the boxes.
What tyres have you settled on?

The attachment is an Excel file you may find useful.
It will track your fuel use.
Note: each time you go to fill up your petrol tank it will need to be full.
Things to do before you start using the spreadsheet:
1. Go fill up you vehicle with petrol and take note of your ODOMETER, the DATE, and the type of fuel you used.
2. You will need to enter some information in some cells.
Cell B1: the DATE from 1.
Cell E1: the ODOMETER from 1.
Cell H1: the colour of your vehicle (yes the colour of your vehicle effects your fuel consumption)
Cell J1: Build Date
Cell L1: Wheel size
Cell N1: Tank Size (which is of course 70 Litres for an Aurion)
Cell P3: Fuel Reference Number* from 1.
3. Now you will be required to fill in 6 cells each time you fill up
So each time you fill you will need to record the ODOMETER on your receipt
Column A: Date
Column B: Location
Column C: Fuel Reference Number*
Column G: Odometer
Column H: $/L (Note: $/L not c/L)
Column I: Total Price
Now this Fuel Reference Number can be found in cells Q293:Q312
For example if you used BP Ultimate the Fuel Reference Number will be 8.
The only cells that have user input are the TAN coloured cells.
In columns D, E, F, J, K, L, M, N, O, P are formulas that shouldn't be touched for the first few rows up to Row 5.
After that each time you enter your weekly data, you will need to highlight the cells above and drag and copy the formulas to the next row.
ie. highlight cell D6:E6:F6 the drag the bottom right corner to the next row, and the similarly for J6:P6.
4. There is an optional input for cell D294, this is where you enter your next service ODOMETER, and in D296 will be approximate the date of your next service schedule.
5. All the information below Row 292 should be self explanatory
Note: You will see some N/A or $DIV/0! cells these are normal.
I hope the above instructions are clear enough.
Have fun!
If you do use the spreadsheet, it would be great if you post up your spreadsheet regularly (every 10000km or so) in this topic, thanks!
Note: I have been using the same spreadsheet for over 3 years, and all works well, but i did have to do some modifications to the spreadsheet before posting it. Due diligence has been taken to ensure there are no errors.

HAHA. I didn't realise you were being sarcastic. No I like stupid........ more stupid.
Do they seriously sell air? or are you being sarcastic again?
Yeah they sell Nitrogen to inflate tyres. Although 78% of normal air has nitrogen in it. Which just means that your tyres are more likely to hold their pressure levels.
-
LOL. Dude, they sell wheels as well as tyres. Go to their website.
Come on, what are you talking about, when did they start selling wheels, i thought they were a Tyre Mart!
Haha, Jeff, I was kidding....come on, i've been to Bob Jane lots of times, who hasn't. They even sell air!
-
Anyway back to the original post. The Bob-Jane guy is half correct. You can not go over the 1 inch extra on the width, but it is on the largest optional wheel available from the vehicle manufacturer. In this case would be the 18" by 7.5", so the maximum you could go is 8.5", without going over the restrictions.
Taken from the RTA:
Wheels up to 26mm wider than the largest optional wheel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer for the
vehicle can be fitted without the need to notify the RTA.
Front wheel drive vehicles:
Except where the original manufacturer provides to the contrary, front wheel widths shall be no more than 26mm
greater than the widest optional wheel offered by the vehicle manufacturer. This requirement also applies to fourwheel
drive vehicles with constant front wheel drive.
Also you will need to keep in mind not to increase the track width, as there is a limit on that too.
Ref: Guidelines for alternative wheels and tyres
Note: the TRD's run 19" by 8" with 245/35R19

p.s. please don't buy wheels from Bob Jane, get a real brand.
You can buy other brands from Bob Jane, you know.....
No way! Thanks for the tip.
Bob Jane only sell tyres!
So the dozens of different wheels they have on display are only for decoration?
Yeah they do have a dozen different types of wheels on display, but have you ever seen four of the same wheels on display, hence they only sell tyres!

The remote for the Presara is always active, as in it needs to send a signal out for you to enter and start the car. It depends on how often you use your vehicle, and even if you just leave the remote and never use it, it will still drain the battery, so it is a good idea to rotate the use of the two remotes you have, both of mine lasted for nearly 3 years.
You could get them replaced at Toyota for about $23 or you could go to Jaycar and replace them for $3.95. (this has been posted in another topic somewhere)
The battery is CR1632.
What are you listening to RIGHT NOW??
