  1. I thought it might be a good idea if we could share some info where to service Aurion. I saw a few threads but I think that it might be a good idea to have something in one place. It will be a great help for anyone that don't have a trusted mechanic or looking for one. Please include Name of the business , state and sub and short description about service, quality of repairs and overall impression. Please keep the thread clean. I start first Dealer service: Gary McMillan Toyota Preston, VIC. Had a few warranty stuff fixed there. However after today I will not go back there again. Mechanic: Kamford Motors, Epping, Vic. Had previous 3 Camrys fixed and serviced there. No issues with the repairs. Honest bloke. Free rent car to get you home even if repair is only 1-2 hours. Techno Motors, Coolaroo, Vic. Been there twice. Blokes used to work at Toyota service centre. Please note that I'm not associated with any of these places. I only share my experience.
  2. This is essentially what I wanted to know. Did you end up going to those guys to get the service done? Also, thanks for everyone else who replied. Appreciate it. Will see what I do when I creep closer to the service time. Sorry I should refrase it . I do 7500km (or 6 months) oil and filter change and every 15000km I take car for the book service. I also provide my own oil Super GTO 10W-30. However I will be looking to change it to fully synthetic one. Yes I went there and had my transmission serviced. They did a proper flush as well. Also I got them to install new disks and brake pads. On top of that they were more than happy for me to be there and observe the whole process. Also I always change oil while engine is hot. When I come home from work (24km drive) I remove engine oil cup and oil dipstick and then straight under the car and drain the hot oil (use thick rubber glow for a protection). Have a shower, diner and watch tv for a while. 2 hours later I go back and complete oil change. I know it might be a little overkill but it really does a trick. After replacing oil with the new one I can hardly see where is the oil level on the stick. This is what I hate about dealer service. They leave the car in the yard for the period of time and then change oil while the engine is cold and not allowing for the proper drainage.
  3. Any thoughts HPR 5 vs Valvoline SynPower.
  4. Spoke with a Fuchs representative the other month (LOL) and they told me that the Titan Super GTO in fact is not a fully synthetic, just a synthetic blend. When I asked them why their previous packaging and even website said fully synthetic, they could not comment. Speaking to a a guy at Queensland Diesel Spares (I think), he was saying something about how some standards apparently have changed in the way they rate the oil. Something like how an oil could have previously been labelled a fully synthetic under certain specifications, even if that isn't entirely true. I really don't know who's saying what, but either way for the sake of the discussion, Fuchs Titan GTO is only a synthetic blend. Next oil change I will be running Fuchs GT1 PRO C3... provided it doesn't break the bank. Will have to order that one. To be honest though, I'm only changing because I want to put a fully synthetic in it. No reason in particular... just what I feel like doing. To be serious, the Titan Super GTO does the trick and hasn't let me down. Thanks for the info. Same here. I was quite happy with it but also prefer fully synthetic oil. I guess I will look elsewhere. BTW what is Toyota synthetic oil. Is it fully synthetic and who makes it?
  5. What a good price ...... I'm surprised that nobody wants it. It is quality setup. Fits directly on the car, will not blind other drivers and low HID beam is perfectly aligned with the high beam. Also Headlights have no scratch on them.
  6. DJKOR any news on the Super GTO?
  7. Every 7500 km I change oil and oil filter myself and then take car to mechanic for the book service.
  8. Yep thats the one. Do you know what it is?
  9. Thats what I thought. I use Super GTO 10W-30. The oter day I took my Aurion for service and I was offered an above oil. I had my own oil and said that I'll try it next time. However I'm still curios what was it. Ill ak him next time.
  10. Just wondering if anyone seen this oil before. My mechanic said it was fully synthetic oil 0w-40. The oil color is dark green. Opinions?
  11. Had on my Camry Phillips 5000CM and in my opinion these were absolutely the best. Unfortunately these are only D2S. On my Aurion I'm using Phillips 4300 and these are pretty good. Once you try HID it will be hard to go back.
  12. Try Greg at GSL RallySport on 1300 884 836.
  13. Did you replace the rotors cause it needed replacing, or was it just because you wanted something better? If the former, how many km's has your car done? Done 51K and the rotors were there from new. I dont know if they realy needed to be replaced but I definitelly wanted something beter.
  14. Nice one ...what pads did you use? Got QFM HPX pads.
  15. All installed. Man what a difference.
  16. I agree. Greg is really easy to deal with and straight to the point. Receivd rest of the parts today. I'll install everything on the weekend.
  17. Yes I went to that place. It turns up that the guy can do logbook service including one with Toyota advantage an. On top of that you see the guy while he is working on the car.
  18. Got DBA4000 Slotted for the front and back. Now just waiting for the pads to arrive
  19. Had tranni serviced today. Car done 51k. When he drained oil I really didnt like the look of it. It was pretty dirty. So drained it flashed and mate what a difference. It is really smooooth. I think Toyotas 90k it is a BS. 1st tranni oil flush and change should be aound 50k - 60k. Money well spent.
  20. While I was in Berlin I saw my new ride
