  1. Toyota has aircon cleaner part number 08821-00830. I used it in my misus car and it worked well. 1.Detach the glovebox, the filter case and the cabin air filter. 2.Mask the electric wiring near the blower fan with vinyl etc. 3. Run aircon 4. Spray the ENTIRE quanity of the chemicals towards the evaporator side. 5. Reattach disassembled parts after drying, changding to a new cabin air filter is recomended.
  2. No way it takes 2 hours to do it. No more than an hour max! It takes 5 min to remove door sills, front side kick pannels and pannels that cover front seatbelts. Then another 10min to remove glove box, its assembly and thingy under the steering wheel. Connect , route the cables and drill the holes for the LEDs another 20min. Put all back together another 15min. Assuming you know what you are doing.
  3. That's a big help. Thank you. As for the RGB LED the controller has died and took the strip and fuse with it. I liked the color and brightness but I don't think I'll be buying another strip again. Haven't decided yet.
  4. I would like to ask a great favour. Could someone take a photo where Toyota genuine footwell lighting is installed at the front and rear. Toyota wants to charge me 2.5h at $100 ph for the installation. I think it is excessive. I got all wired up but I'm not sure where to place lights.
  5. Installed and everything worked well, for 2 days :( The controller remembers last state leds were in. Also I can change colors and brightnes to something that suits me well. Well here comes a bad part. These terminals are crap. Somewhat they lost contact and it seems like Ill have to solder everything. Tried to do one but for some reason wire doesnt want to stick :( to the led. I propably do something wrong.
  6. Also you could go for aftermarket one. These units offer better quality and features than factory units. However you will need front face cover. This is what I use.
  7. I should be more specific. $40 was just a cost of purchasing the part. As for replacing it is easy job. Just gently remove mirror cover and undo 3 screws to remove indicator.
  8. Done it on my missus camry. From dealer it cost me $40.
  9. Looking at THIS paticular one. It will be perfect. I post some photos after I get all installed.
  10. I need to attach the wires to the strips and I was wondering if there is sort of clamp connector that i can hook up the wires to and just clip to the strip.
  11. Same here. However it doesnt happen on every 1st start. It might be VVTI thingy.
  12. +1 for the portable GPS. These are hips better than inbulid ones. As for other prices way to expensive.
  13. Bought 5m. I'll see when the stuff arrives. I'll post back after it is all installed.
  14. THIS is the one I ordered. I'm looking for kind of cables with clip on the end. It should clip on the end of LED strip where are contact points are.
  15. Yep that’s right. I also ordered RGB LED wit controller so I can set any color I feel like. I had genuine Toyota one but very disappointed- too dark. I'll post the results after stuff arrives.
  16. I asked seller and he confirmed that the controller will remember the last LED state and will start automatically. Ordered one yesterday. Will post back when it arrives.
  17. Just quick question. Will the controller remember its previous state? I set the color to the blue and switch the car off. Next time I start the car will the light come on automatically and remain white.
  18. So here you are. Took me a few minutes to find the right wiring but it payed off. Just wanted to add a short note. People please share your mods. When doing one do take camera and take few shots for the forum members so we can easily follow it. We all benefit from shared knowledge. I will hate to see that this forum becomes show off forum where people just show theirs mods but never help others. This is really great forums so let’s keep it this way. Also for anyone that wants to do the mod and there is no photos in the thread do take camera and take a few shots yourself. It will be much easier for anyone to just circle the right spot.
  19. Here is the one for you. Is it possible to wire the lights up to the dome light in the way that they come on when door is opened but independently of the switch position on the dome light. I don’t use dome light but I would like to have fade effect. I'm pretty sure it should be possible. Please post photos of the wiring.
  20. Thanks for that. Funny now when you mentioned it I did notice that on many ocassions there is like clamp/click noise comming from the engine on startup. It doesnt do it all the time but time to time. It might be VVT-i controller knocking. I had filter and oil changed only weeks ago. The car is under factory extended warranty. I migt take it to the dealer to get it fixed. Ill record it and post it tomorrow.
  21. Just wondering if you could provide some feedback on the SIN 0.
  22. No problem. Yes these come on individually when you open each door. The arrows point to both, ORANGE and RED wires (just like 1st photo).
  23. HI All Yes yet another guide for the popular mod. This time it is easy to follow. I have attached photos of the wirring where you need to hook up your lights. I take no responsibiility if you mess your car. If after reading he guide you have a question please ask and I will be happy to help. To wire up rear lights you need to remove rear/front door scuffs and the panels behind the front seat belts. Here are the wires you need to tap into for the rear lights: This is the way I mounted the strip. Do this for the second rear light as well. The wiring will look identical. Here are the wires you need to tap into on the driver side. Again LED strip mounted. Here are the wires you need to tap into on the pasanger side: If you prefer Dome Light style here is the photo of the wires you need. The white one is positive and the brown is negative. Final result: Hope someone will find it useful.
