  1. I will be interested in 'how to guide' as well please.
  2. Thanks for a fast reply. I have installed Alpine 6x9 SPR-69C rear speakers and Focal 165VB 6.5" component speaker in the front, no sub. Front speakers have a small box with adjustments -3 0 +3. I dont have an oscilloscope so I'll have to play with it. EDIT: Anyone would like to help me properly set amp settings? Reward: slab of beer
  3. I was wondering if someone could help me with an amp setup. I wired it all up but I'm unsure with some of the settings. What will be the best setting to leave it on? 1- 2- High pass filter and low pass filter. Middle position means no filtering. Something to do with a filtering certain frequencies. 3- Actuall values for the filters 4- 5- Bass boost ch 1-2 6- Bass boost ch 3-4
  4. No worries. I took the unit from the car. It is all boxed and ready to go.

  6. hey there... will this fit in the ZRE Corolla, or is this just for the aurion/camry? Cheers I'm pretty sure that its only for aurion/camry.
  7. Nobody wants decent HID setup? This is quality setup and worth over $1000. I leave it for little longer.
  8. I'm selling nearly brand new unit from the above thread.
  9. Trying to connect stock HU. It all works well until I connect the gray plug. When I plug it in everything goes silent (unit still working bu no sound from speakers). When I unplug it everything is back to normal. Also I noticed that one of the option is missing (I think it was ASL). I checked wiring diagrams but couldnt find descryption for this connector.
  10. Nice choice with the Focals...on the subject of the 690CVX 6x9,you might have a small mod to do on the boot springs as these are a deep speaker (93mm)...anyway really nice choice mate, good luck with the install. :) I measured the gap between shelf and tension bars in the boot and it might be just ok. I got them fitted on Monday and hopefully all will be ok.
  11. Got my dealer to install metal pipe. I paid $41 for the part and $180 for the labour. Now I can sleep/drive without worrying about pipe rapture or warranty issues. $220 is not as good as warranty fix but not the end of the world.
  12. Good one... I still got the clunk noise from the rear end. After relasing hand foot brake and driving away I got sort of clunk noise. It sounds like shoe brakes are stuck and then suddenly released (I might be wrong). I know people pointed ABS thingy in action but time to time it sounds different (once quitter once noisier)
  13. He's got a 2007 Aurion Touring. Yep thats the one. Also the tyres I got are Toyo MP4 fitted at Tyre Power in Reservoir. Paid $175 per tyre. There was no Proxies 4s at 217/60R16. I was hasitating between Pirelli P7 or Toyos. So far I'm happy. They are quiet and have decent grip. Will see how they perform after few kms.
  14. Just quick update. Had tyres replaced today and wheel alignment done as well. Car goes dead straight.
  15. I went to the local Car Audio store and decided on the speaker setup: Focal 165VB 6.5" component speaker set Focal 690CVX 6X9" co-axial loudspeaker set Soundstream LW4500 amp STINGER EXPERT ROADKILL RKX4 SOUND DAMPING BEAT DYNAMAT just for the speakers The guy had installed these in his car and it sounded really good. Thanks all for the help.
  16. its all good man :) relieved that i didnt offend :) anyway yea the alpine s type set up works pretty well from what ive seen... i was looking at going the type r set up all round but gota good deal on some mb quart reference speakers... pioneer would be good as well, i think the TS-A or TS-D range sits around the type S/R level of performance? which headunit will you be powering this set up with? I was planning to use THIS unit without an amp but I'm not sure if it will be enough to power the speakers.
  17. Sorry DAvo. I shouldnt be lazy and ask question properly. I havent picked any speakers yet and I was just wondering if Alpine will be better option than JBL. In my previous Camry I had Pioneer speakers and amp. I dont really know much about other brands. I've checked the setup you suggested and it looks good. I checked eBay and prices look pretty good. I'll take a drive to local store and see if they can do better deal on the whole set.
  18. Even more choices . I was wondering if you could recommend a nice setup from HERE. I was thinking about JBL component speakers for the front and 6x9 rear plus JBL amp. I'm after something that will give a good sound quality (doesnt have to be loud loud).
  19. Thank you for fast reply. I have narrowed my choice to these: Speakers plus amp i also thought about Similar Pioneer setup.
