  4. THis is crazy sh!t Pasted from http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2006/02/08/....html?from=top5 Stone Age tribe kills fishermen Email Print Normal font Large font By Peter Foster in New Delhi February 9, 2006 Advertisement AdvertisementONE of the world's last Stone Age tribes has murdered two fishermen whose boat drifted on to a desert island in the Indian Ocean. The Sentinelese, thought to number between 50 and 200, have rebuffed all contact with the modern world, firing a shower of arrows at anyone who comes within range. They are believed to be the last pre-Neolithic tribe in the world to remain isolated and appear to have survived the 2004 Asian tsunami. The men killed, Sunder Raj, 48, and Pandit Tiwari, 52, were fishing illegally for mud crabs off North Sentinel Island, a speck of land in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands archipelago. Fellow fishermen said they dropped anchor for the night on January 25 but fell into a deep sleep, probably helped by large amounts of alcohol. During the night their anchor, a rock tied to a rope, failed to hold their open-topped boat against the currents and they drifted towards the island. "As day broke, fellow fishermen say they tried to shout at the men and warn them they were in danger," said Samir Acharya, the head of the Society for Andaman and Nicobar Ecology, an environmental organisation. "However they did not respond - they were probably drunk - and the boat drifted into the shallows where they were attacked and killed." The Indian coast guard tried to recover the bodies using a helicopter but was met by a hail of arrows. Photographs shot from the helicopter show the near-naked tribesmen rushing to fire. But the downdraught from its rotors exposed the two fishermen buried in shallow graves and not roasted and eaten, as local rumour suggested. Attempts to recover the bodies have been suspended, although the Andaman Islands police chief, Dharmendra Kumar, said an operation might be mounted later. Environmental groups urged the authorities to leave the bodies and respect the five-kilometre exclusion zone thrown around the island. In the 1980s and early 1990s many Sentinelese were killed in skirmishes with armed salvage operators who visited the island after a shipwreck. Since then the tribesmen have remained virtually undisturbed. Telegraph, London
  5. March 2003 Levin 63,000 still drives like new. I feel with toyotas, change the oil every 5 - 10 thousand and it will just keep on going. Befor ethi si had a 91 Camry and i had 390,000 on the original engine. I think the guy i sold it too still drives it around. Good thing about the 1zz as well is, in next few year there will be millions of 1zz rollas in the wreckers as there are so many on the road. -Bill

  19. Juding from what the U.S guys say. The Maxtrix XR parts will fit our STD rollas. I knwo for a fact that they both have the same engines "1zz-fe". I mean for $300 i woudl start to think twice but for 64$ I wouldnt complain if we had to modify it a bit to work. SO to answer your question. Yes it should fit all 1zz-fe rollas from 02 onwards.
  20. SA as in South African. I said it must be the queensland stivos just to pull Northys chain. Hahah yeh i thought so. Yeh SA as in south african TO check this just look at the plate ont he driver site door and if the number starts with JTD or somthing like that then yours in made in Japan
  21. Cool well myself and YDOIT4 are up for a try each. If we can make 5 i will order straight away. Shoudl we start a new topic in Buy and Sell section??
  22. No CORZZA. You see the one you had in SA was probably Jap built anyway. (not sure). When i was shopping for my rolla in 03, even the dealers were tellign me to stnad clear of the sportivo for they had moticed a massive difference in build quality over the Jap build rollas. And then i remermber reading an article based on it. Its not just the Queensland Stivos. And its not just Stivos for that matter. Some Levins, Conquests and accents were built in SA and they also came out with a build quality close to hyundai. ill try and find the article and post it here. Its just a known fact.
