alpine iva w502 with nav, not cheap but beautiful dvd unit, the nav bit is a bit ordinary but does the job and is also portable (not built into unit)

it is a K&N filter oiled out of the box, it felt a little too oily when i was puttin it on so yeah that may be the cause. cheers

i got a cai a few weeks ago and installed it at work, did the usual ecu reset, car runs fine when it starts to get a bit of temp to it BUT after i start it and go to reverse up our driveway its as if there is no throttle response, i really need to ride the clutch out at about 2500rpm for it to get moving otherwise it bogs down and nearly stalls no matter how much throttle i give it, but by the time i get to the end of my street 500m its all good... has anyone had this problem after puttin in a cai with a new oiled filter?, im gonna clean the air flow meter on the weekend but just puttin it out there to see if anyone alse has had the issue...

HiTv do one also that we have been using allot at work and we sell them for 1800 fitted, its a hitv dn4402.

well sorry if im not so **** professional as you guys but this is the only dyno i have within 300km's. this is the only graph i got and i was watching the screen as it was being done.

so we gots a ces cai kit on tuesday and installed it yesterday...... AWSEOME put it on the dyno this morning no other mods just cai and got 178.5bhp.....

If its anything like the sat nav, rev cam for the prado's, 200s cruisers, etc (which it most likely is) there is absolutely no point in buying it. i had a bloke come into work who got a quote from toyota for doin the same unit into a camry and they quoted him $2000 just for the harness. plus u r much better off gettin an aftermarket double din setup with dvd, nav, rev cam, usb, ipod, av in and av outs, by doin it this way u will save yourself about $1000 depending on what system u get.

if its running the starter then it shouldnt be the ignition cut. maybe fuel pump is dead. can u hear the fuel pump prime and is there fuel in it??? someone may have syphoned ur tank while u were at work...

the best thing to do is get a multimeter and test EVERY wire in one of the tail lights until u get 12volts when it is in reverse. being an 08 model the car maybe can bus. DON NOT USE A TEST LIGHT!!!!! no matter what. and earth the system directly to bare metal inside the tail light area.

i dont want hid's yet coz im in the middle of buildin the stereo and its costin me a fortune and like i said i jus want good lighting for when i drive to brissy, i will no doubt get hid's after the stereo is finished.... o and im adding strobe foggies and tail lights to for shows :P

Hey all, i am chasing the best and brightest headlights possible for the stivo but dont wanna buy hid kit yet. what are your suggetions on bulbs?? i intend on driving from rocky to brissy shortly leavin rocky at 5 pm so about 4 hours will be in pitch black and i want good lighting. cheers

its easy... if any of your local car audio shops know ANYTHING, all you need is a dna WHP702. its a single din pocket with mounting wings, use your standard brackets off ur factory player and it all lines up. i use these things in lancruisers, prados, corollas, yaris's etc everyday. they should not pay anymore then $18 for them. although i have seen them at autobarn for $40 but thats autobarn for ya. here's the ling to dna audio website. geez doesnt anyone use google anymore????? http://www.dnaaudio.com.au/blowout_pages.html/whp702.html

I have the unit, absolutely love it.. just don't like the navigation part of it which is not the best around, other than that, the rest of the things are great.. the interface is also very user friendly, just need awhile and everything is good from then onwards.. AGREED!!!! did you know that the IVA-W502 just won the award for best mutlimedia player over $1000 in the latest incar magazine

nah im about 24 hours north of sydney (i think) and with the imprint tuning process once its completed u need to be able to up the gains on ur sub amp cos the imprint tightens ur bass response but there is no where near enough volume.

yeah mate the 502's r the bomb, rated number one for multimedia headunit over $1000 for 2009, and nah not gonna use imprint as it is only designed for basically 1 set of front speakers, 1 set of rears and two subs, it cant tune centre channels, dual fronts and ***** like that.... honestly its pointless UNLESS u have really top of the line gear and u really love sound quality with not much bottom end and have speakers no smaller then 5 1/4's... i also have a lineup of red led lighting and led light strips and possibly fibre optic strips depending if nashy wants to use it or not. p.s YEAH IT'LL BE LOUD AND NO U CANT HAVE IT.... :P

nah its not extended warranty its just statutory warranty on roadworthy items ie gearbox etc lol, 3 months long and it runs out 10th of next month lol hence y it goin to my mechanic this week, i wouldnt trust this dealership to service my lawn mower let alone a car lol but if its free then i cant complain, if worse comes to worse i will get my mechanic to do it and send them the bill.
