  1. We use Magnatec for all the VVTi engines and anything in good condition... If it looks old or tired, I'll get some GTX2 for it instead... Don't wanna risk oil leaks or anything, then I would have customers on my back...
  2. Well let them suffer with that... And when they go to sell their house, hope that no one wants to buy it or the land....
  3. Sounds crap... Why not just install a sound proof wall like the ones on the freeways???
  4. Anything over 100,000kms, I tend to use Castrol GTX2... 20W 50 weight, runs well with all the Toyota's that I work on...
  5. Yeah, we machine them a lot under warranty...
  6. First was a 1990 Corolla SX Hatch on my Red P's... Spent around $16k on it... Then sold it... Next came the ****ta, 1989 Corolla CS Hatch bought for $20... Stripped it and made around $600 off the parts... And then the 1989 Corolla SX Hatch which is my Orange baby... And it's going back to the panel shop soon and will take the mark well over 25k :o :o :o ... Hmmm, will be worth it in the end... Hehehe... I love my Rollas...
  7. That doesn't make sense... If you are doing 100km/h at 3000rpm, 5th gear gives you 33.3 km/h per 1000rpm. So at 4000rpm, you should be doing 133.3km/h, unless your clutch or tranny is slipping. ← Don't forget mine is an AE92 5 Speed...
  8. I hate my 5 speed lol... 100kmh - 3000rpm... 110kmh - 3500rpm... 120kmh - 4000rpm... Gets really loud, 120dB to be exact up the freeway lol...
  9. Speak to Subaru... They denied a mates car... Had exhaust system on his WRX, 40,000kms bearings went and they voided warranty...
  10. I think that looks fugly... Too messy... I would've made up panels for the handsets to sit in and run the wires down the inside of the dash... As for the colours, i like...
  11. Drive it down the street, disconnect the battery, re-connect it after 10 mins and then go nuts :P :P :P ...
  12. Damn, you guys are getting ripped... My strut brace came standard with my car :P :P :P ... And as for Swaybars, I get the Whiteline's for $145 fixed or $165 adjustable (they vary the link attachment position, so the main bar is solid)...
  13. New handles come painted... Or see if the new Camry ones fit as the highest Model comes with chrome ones now...
  14. Why did you have to cut the speaker??? Drilling the rivets out should disconnect it from the pod...
  15. Thats strange... But the books always have the 1000km service tear out in them... Check the book to see if the hole page has been ripped out...
  16. Hey guys, I know this is the Corolla section but it's short notice and we need numbers for this cruise, so I am trying to get it around as much as possible... Leaving this post here until the cruise is over would be muchly appreciated... Cheers... DETAILS: Sorry about the short notice. We have organised a charity cruise to help us cover some of the medical bills of a very good friend of mine, he's 24 years old, and has burst his aorta, undergone two lots of open heart surgery in an attempt to fix it and stop the bleeding (which has only slowed it down), has a collapsed lung, and requires constant xrays, ct scans, specialists, blood transfusions and has even had a stroke causing him to go blind. He's still in Intensive Care and things are going wrong constantly, today is the beginning of the second month of all of this, and his bills are starting to come in... Date: Sunday 14th August 2005 Time: Meet 8am Depart @ 9am Meeting Place: Homebush Bay - P6 Halfway Rest Point: The Twin Caltexs - F3 Freeway Destination: Caves Beach Reserve This cruise is in support of Ben Young. Ben has had an unfortunate incident which has left him in a critical condition in Westmead Hospital. He has undergone open heart surgery at a tender age of 24, to much dismay of his family & friends he is not recovering as well as we all hoped for. This has also put an enormous financial strain on Ben & his family. In support of this car-loving, easy going much loved guy we have organised this day in full support of him & his family with all donations greatly appreciated to help with the financial situation & as a great surprise to Ben’s parents to show just how much people like us all, really care. To give you an idea, Ben’s operations are worth thousands, but each and every cent counts. Your support is hugely appreciated & will never be forgotten. Professional magazine photographers will be there on the day, so you & your car may even get your photo in a magazine. Tell all your friends.

  18. Either make your own custom pods or drill out the pot rivets and screw in your new speakers...
  19. I work for toyota in Sydney and recommend getting the services done every 10k plus intermediate services every +5 k... So: 1000kms - Free service 5000kms - Intermediate Service 10000kms - 10,000km Service 15000kms - Intermediate Service 20000kms - 20,000km Service And so on... Intermediate service should be around the $150 - $200 mark and the oil change services will be around the same, but the majors (every 40k) will be around $400 or so... Pricing is determined by the dealership though...
