  1. Yeah this sounds exactly like mine. Definately not working as they should. I have used them on various other cars and 4wd's, and they definately should not operate like they do on the kluger. Dealer also fobbed me off, so will be interested to see how you go. I will definately complain about them again at my next service. Good to hear though that not all members have this issue with them. Cheers
  2. QUOTE (capeli @ May 4 2009, 10:58 PM) I had factory front and rear parking sensors fitted, thinking they would save the paint work on a big car, but they really haven't proved to be much use. They beep for items meters away, don't work very well when in motion or turning, which all leads to a lack of trust in the system. I end up ignoring the beeping and do things the old fashioned way. The rear camera does come in useful when reversing and parking, and more useful than the sensors. Glad someone agrees about the Kluger parking sensors. They are by far the worst system I have used. I even had mine checked as was convinced they were faulty, but local dealer stated they were working within specifications......YEAH RIGHT!!! I have used parking sensors on various vehicles from other manufacturers, and none worked like this. It is like the Kluger ones are too sensitive, they even beep when nothing appears to be there. Agree they are next to useless as the false beeps are so off-putting that you soon ignore the system altogether!!!!

    Polaris Satnav

Hi, Have a Polaris unit, and not too bad. Features very good, including onscreen ipod interface and bluetooth for phone. Also very handy being plug and play (same wiring as original headunit) and compatible with original steering controls. Think little overpriced at the $1599 advertised at, but if you could pick one up for just over $1000 would be a great buy. (remember unit in the grande is over $3000, and doesn't have half the features!!) I think they also sell under the Claris badge overseas. Ebay might be worth a look to try and snare one at a better price. goodluck

    Dash Lighting

Very nice guys. How hard is to replace the leds with the different colour ones? Step by step would be awesome. Thanks
  5. Hi, You wont see anything because it is under the armrest padding, but you can feel it. Also it flexes and creaks everytime you put your arm onto it. With time it would probably/possibly damage the padding, so definately worth getting replaced while under warranty. I saw Toyota today and they are now replacing all four door trims.......glad im not paying!!!
  6. Ouch...all four of my armrests have these cracks, and is becoming very annoying everytime you rest your arm on them etc. Wonder what Toyota will have to say when I ask for all of them to be replaced under warranty????:)
  7. Hi Scott, Looking at doing the foglight installl you did early last year on my KXR. Would like to go the same way as you and replace the stalk/switch assmebly. I notice your grande version has the light sensor/auto headlight control as well. Does this work when on auto, or do you need extra sensors etc? Thanks heaps, appreciate your help.
  8. Hi everyone, New member and happy kluger owner. I have heard that all Klugers are wired the same regardless of spec. i.e even though the KXR doesnt come with foglights the wiring is already there etc. Was curious does this extend to the climate control. Could you just add the controls and away you go, or would there be far more to it. I know that base model falcons are wired this way, all you need to do is add the controls, but wasn't sure if there would be more too it with kluger. Any help much appreciated. Regards
