  1. Well i just upgraded my rotors and pads on friday to DBA slotted rotors not sure on the pads they had like 5 different types of pads they where gonna put on but i just said to them to install the best bite pads with the rotors it was at my tuner Tunehouse in marickville Sydney it cost me 620 for the lot to be purchased and installed i dunno if they would do the same price for anyone else because they are like mates now that i have been going to them for so long and my best mate as well but i would say they stop a whole lot faster and smooth braking as well no shuddering or sqweeking so all good in my oppinion maybe this will help i dunno lol :)
  2. Okay there is no harmonic dampener that comes with the pulley it doesnt require one as their is no difference in weight size or diamater in the pulley it stays exactly the same as the old one so doesnt require the engine to be rebalanced and all of that annoying stuff. Now in replacing all pulleys well im sure it would be great to create the stock diamater lightweight pulleys for the entire set but their doesnt seem to be that much of an increase when you change all of the pulleys where as if you only change the largest one the crank pulley you are gaining some free power there is the underdrive set that you can get but it is only available in the underdrive sets from Unorthodox Racing and they charge an arm and a leg for the set from memory so other than that you can get the alternator pulley from unorthodox racing and they also do another pulley im not sure which one maybe the oil pump i cant remember check their site if you really want to find out but the sportivo has one extra pulley you can get. When it comes to 5-10% increase in power again it is hard to say where the figures stand in it all but there is a gain in power and a difference in the speed of revving. The price for labour obdviously that all depends on your mechanic i mean i cant really say anything when it comes to exact prices to just install the pulley i would suggest to maybe do a service at the same time you might not feel the price as much because the mechanic may be able to make it cheaper for you if they are already going to be under the engine and moving things around for the service but of course its all up to you i guess you can get some quotes if you really want to. Warrantee well that is hard to say it is still oem size and and all of that so there is no difference in the way the engine works and runs so there shouldnt be an issue with the warrantee in my opinion but ask someone who has a brain in toyota and not sum dumbass that doesnt even know that toyota make superchargers for corolla's lol some mechanics really have no idea lol Dunno if this helps im not super technical but thats what ive learnt from my experience and having this crank pulley already installed in my car for over 6months now with no issues is proof enough to me that it works fine with our cars so yea
  3. Ive already seen 2 1zz's turbo'd one in the city had a blow off the size of france and nearly blew my ear off when he shifted next to me at 6500rpmz and then flew off in the distance i was in a van so i didnt bother following lol Another one was yesterday on the way to the day cruise in penrith when i come next to a fricking sleeper and a half makes xoom's car look like a race car compared to this sleeper completely stock except for a tin can cannon ohh and after he blew past me in about 4 seconds i assumed hmm that has something in it and then when he blew his blow off next to me then when i bowed my head in shame past him and looked behind and saw a massive front mount hidden behind the stock front bumper :) i dont mind he would hammer me on the straights thats for sure but round twisties cusco FTW
  4. Yes its a direct swap and no the timing doesnt have to be reset you just plug and play
  5. Hey fellas Im the guy that bought this mod about 6 months ago now and have had it installed and i drive to 6.7k every day and the thing has not missed a beat the pulley has caused me no issues and i have spoken to ppl in america with the mod and they have had no issues either, As the pulley is stock diamater all it does is take stress off the engine just like running with ankle weights or boxing with heavy gloves and taking them off and feel the difference in feel as there is not as much weighing you down So with that analogy the car basically revs faster because it has less weight so if you would think about it that way if a car revs faster than a stock car then it should increase some form of power whether it be torque or hp or at the fly or at the engine it would increase power in some way Now if you want to winge and ask ohh but how much i want figures and i want paper then dont bother because when it comes down to it as Grey said every pony and torque pull counts if you want your car to run faster down the 1/4 or on the street against a mate that you just cant quite beat in a drag or u want to beat that local hoon in ur area and get ur pride back if the race is really that close this could give you that little bit of an edge I am just saying in the end it all comes down to prefference if you preffer to get as many ponies as u can and as much torque, then every little mod that has gains and differences in your rides power counts as a good investment for you but if you just want more power and value for money well then that isnt gonna happen with small mods but in my oppinion small amounts of power over 5 small mods equal a fair amount of noticable power :D well ive gone on long enough In the end i feel power is nothing its what you feel that counts ill take you for a ride in my car to show you that theory in practice
  6. Yea that was me hhehe i thought you where from here yea the car is pretty black lol I couldnt tell if yours was a 1zz or sportivo. Your car was looking good as well :) Really like the blacked out look! Ive got a sportivo, just completely badged. Yea im gonna get some black Bolts for my rims as well so its all blacked out completely lol i want to be complete NINJA So your going for the sleeper look huh ppl think its just a corolla then get eaten lol i like it id do that as well if i had a sportivo
  7. Yea that was me hhehe i thought you where from here yea the car is pretty black lol I couldnt tell if yours was a 1zz or sportivo. Your car was looking good as well :)
  8. Hey fellaz, Ever since i was in qld on hols this week i knew i would see a rolla there somewhere and i did spot a silver corolla with chrome altezza's at the back passing by white water world in a side street dunno who it was but thought id post just to see who it was ohh and i was at white water world going on B.R.O. one of the rides in there
  9. yea my tuner at Tunehouse he sells tiens he is a official seller of tien so id say have a look with them and see what they can quote u on i had them priced between the average 2k -2400 installed but im sure you could get it somewhere round there if you ask nice enough lol The guys at tunehouse where ****** at me when i got the cusco's they said why would u want a jap suspension on a aussie car our roads are sh#t here compared to jap and the cusco's are to hard which i agree our roads suck and the cuscos do have trouble on some bumps it feels a bit to bumpy but i dont mind it my coils are set to the lowest setting as i did some testing and my gf wouldnt get in the car anymore without holding herself down and wearing a sports bra and crash helmet before getting in the thing lol but with the cuscos on the lowest setting it is nice and cumffy now and i can still corner hard But back to my point the guys have tiens on their cars at tunehouse and they love them they said it isnt like being on coilovers they are soft and not bumpy like all the other coilovers and really have a nice smooth feel about them id say go for the teins they are the only coilovers made that i can think of at this time in the morning that are made in aus for aussie roads so it sounds like a winner to me :D
  10. I dunno bout you guys but if you guys are complaining about the ascent or conquest seats well they have NOO bucket at all but the sportivo(havent been in 2 many but from memory) and Levin seats have some bucket to them I dunno maybe because im a big C@nt and my a$$ fits the chair nice and snug i dont have to much of an issue with my a$$ flying around when hammering corners my back isnt all that supported as it hangs over the bucket part of the back rest of the seat ;) guess their is a down side of being very broad in your shoulders but i still dont feel i swerve that much to complain so it isnt to much of a hassle Ever since i have installed my Cusco zero 2's front rear and bottom strut bars i havent been for a real long twisties run so i cant comment on super fast corners but i have given it enough round some twisties to know it holds its own round hard corners and i dont go smashing into the door or centre console lol :D
  11. Well fellas i dont think i want this muffler anymore it was a tossup between the s12 and the magnaflow 14850 race series for me and i want the straight through race series as its louder on idle and louder in total lol so im sorry but im out of this group buy :( unless you guys could add me to the group buy to get a magnaflow race series 14850 muffler with the group buy if you could organize that Limz i would be very much appreciative regardless what happens: Keep a close eye on my ride area for the new and improved catback exhaust with sound clips coming real soon
  12. impressive ! :D :D :D :P home jobs rule :P
  13. i had a look at the best mufflers site i think it was and it has 2 different types of the s12 twin loop the s12 and the s12uni57 has anyone found out the diff it looks like the tip is alot bigger on the s12 than the s12uni57 i want the s12 it looks beefier the bigger the better i say lol as long as its not a cannon lol :P anyone know any more info on the 2??
  14. ehehehe one of the perks of being a wog with relative connections
  15. it took all day to do started in the morning at my place and bought a car jack and some wood to put the car on while the wheels where getting done took the car down to a tyre place near by in burwood had the tyres removed from the rims 20$ for all 4 then took the rims down to the powder coating place in auburn a commercial place my dad does work with for his alluminium frames so i got it done for 120$ as its a work friend it was cheap for me to get the 4 rims powder coated black then had the rims put back on the tyres after waiting 3 days for the rims to COMPLETELY DRY as their is alot of force involoved to get the tyres back onto the rim and counter weights are used to balance the rim you want the rim as dry as possible so they dont rip or chip the powder coating off (this happened on the inside of my rim on 3 rims as they had to relocate the counter weights for the rim it removed the paint with it but it isnt to noticable as i sprayed over it with black high temp paint it was only like the size of a matchbox in size so no biggie and to get the rims put back onto the tyres was 61$ so yea i no it was cheap because my dad knew the powder coater (its good to have family members in the right business lol) so i dunno if you can get it that cheap but maybe 150-200 for the time to be powder coated sounds like a fair price from the sounds of what the tyre place was telling me so yea
  16. i had mine powder coated and it cost me 200$ to get it done including having the rims taken on and off heres what they look like before http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...ost&id=2859 and as u can see in my avatar after http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...ost&id=3117 so its not as cheap as spraying it yourself but it is a much more professional look it just depends if you wanna go cheap and look good or spend a bit more and look good but will last longer as it doesnt peel as easy :D the choice is all about prefference really what do you want to do that is the question at the end of the day??
  17. s10 is a smaller but rounder muffler as you can see in the above pic but the s12 is longer and oval shaped and the looped piping sits on top not down on the side main diff i guess well i dont have one but from the sounds of things the s12 is louder :D than the s10 due to the diamater of the main part of the muffler (the barrel) is larger in the s10 than the s12 hmm i may be wrong but im sure someone with more knowledge can shed more light but that is what i think about the 2 lets hope i made sense
  18. ill buy your s12 from you if you buy the s10 How long have you had it??
  19. I would be interested if you can get an s12 for me as well if it can be done and included in the group buy i will definately be in 100% :D see what u can do and get back to me

  21. I painted my callipers last week but i painted the middle hub unlike most ppl so it doesnt look all rusty and yuck heres a pic or 2 in my members ride section http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=8669
  22. Or you can order from edo performance.com they are an american site thats where i found my injen CAI for my 1zz and they had the 2zz ones as well i cant remember wat i got mine fore check the site and you will find out but u get a free t-shirt with it :D lol that was unexpected and step by step instructions with pictures oooooooooooooo pictures lol and u get a license plate border thingy from injen ;) im sure that all comes from ebay as well though i dunno well yea there u go another place to quote and ponder on i guess
  23. who here has an s12?? i want to see who has one and get a sound clip or vid or something i guess it doesnt matter im going to get one but i just wanted to hear one on a 1zz b4 i got it :D sick of just hearing my engine scream i want some exhaust tone as well and a lil bit of power would be nice not much but a lil bit would be nice lol maybe 1kw atw increase lol from my sportivo exhaust on their now lol
  24. Dang it! ill be in qld that weekend on holidays lol ahh well maybe next month hmm couldnt you change the meet to the next week ......... cmon guys for me pwwwweeeeezzzz lol if not its cool i just wanted ya'll to see my new and improved rims and taillights all dark and stuff lol
  25. well thats true alot of debates go on about SRI and CAI but i mean its a matter of preference i liked the injen because its 'dyno proven' gains and its from a very well known and reputable company but again depends if its a cold night the CAI might get the air a bit cooler and give a slight bit more power but the SRI might get the car going quicker because its shorter flow so yea i dunno man just go with wateva ur happy with i say. I dunno bout gains i did feel an increase in pull mid to high rpms but i didnt dyno it i had the power fc and all of my other mods installed straight after i got the CAI from america so yea cant give u exact numbers sorry dude well i CBF taping up such a small area of the calliper where the brake pad is seen so i just sprayed over it it still looks good lol Im gonna get new pads soon so u can see the trd coming out of the bottom of the callipers again lol
