Wish my engine bay was that clean.... Mind if I ask how much you paid for the strut? Did it make any difference at all? I've seen these around ebay before and I did consider it, but knowing me and my driving style I would DEFINETLY warp it...so IF I was going to get one I would only consider the Genuine TRD or ULTRA RACING. It does look good though haha Ooh By the way, check out my thread in the Member's ride section, I've installed my projectors with HID's...tell me what you think (I haven't uploaded any good pics yet though just a quick one)

Bored at work, so I thought I would give you a little update for those who are interested. Projectors are in and looking very good, only issur is that the right one sort of flickers a little sometimes; not on and off but like bright and low if that makes sense. Heres a quick picture.

I like to try using Vpower 98 once a month with my car. Should I be doing anything with my camry before trying VPower 98. I was using Standard unleaded (caltex) all the time. there are times thay my camry starts rough and I want it to run smooth.. I hope burning out some carbon build up would help thour VPower. Try running a fuel system/injector cleaner. When I switched from regular unleaded to Vpower I pulled apart my intake manifold; upper and lower, and gave it a really good clean with carby cleaner then ran 2 full tanks with 98 with a high blend of injector cleaner. I then reset the ECU and have been running Vpower EVERY tank since then. 246000km's and my engine is smoother, quieter and more economical than my dads '06 Magna. Its also quicker than my friends camry of the same year...

If I remember correctly...Andrew only had the Sportivo Accessories front lip and High Rise spoiler. This kit adds the side skirts (which are a little different from the standard sportivo) and the rear lip.... correct me if I'm wrong Andrew.

The HID ballast and relay harness are two different things. My setup has a HID controller (relay harness) which is plugged into the factory headlight socket, which controlls the projector. And is also tapped into the parking light, which controlls the angel light. The HID controller is also hooked up to the battery. Then the ballast is plugged into the controller and the HID globe is plugged in the ballast. If that makes sense? So: HID controller is plugged into factory harness - recieves signal - draws power from battery - feeds into ballast - ballast boosts current and feeds into HID globe. Hope that helps...

Yea I'm not too keen on the GTP spoiler...I would love a TRD lip spoiler, but they are MEGA rare. OH don't you just love it when a few little packages arrive: Only issue with the Projectors is that they were made for a LHD vehicle, see: Opened it up, modified it a little...all good: Installing the projectors this weekend, so I'll be sure to keep you all posted. Oh I have also updated my 'Future Mods' in the first post.

I really hope that someone has snapped this up already... A rare find and Andrew has done all the hard work for you!!

Ceramic pads are the ones they use in motor sports. They can withstand very high temperatures but dont work that well when they are cold. So i was kinda joking haha. If you had the money to fork out - and the need - i would suggest K-sport big brake upgrade with ceramic pads. But this is a useless swap as you will never need that much stopping power. Edit: like Tash said this is a good place to ask questions, everyone on here is very helpfull and we all share a common interest. A big welcome to the club!!

Anyone know if it would be hard to fit a TRD Aurion charger on a 1MZ?

Mind if we ask how much the quote was? I got a price on aftermarket shocks for around $700 not installed. But then again these were performance ones. I would assume that OEM shocks would be kinda expensive and not really worth the extra money

When you email every dealer (that offers an email address) in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria; you are bound to find more than 1 dealer who has had the kit sitting in parts for the last 6 years or so. Thank god haha I was about to go shoot you! Do you think any of those dealers would be carrying TRD springs, shocks or sways for a Gen 4 camry? :P

Welcome to the TOCAU guys. But better yet welcome to the Camry club You two should take some pictures of your cars so that you can boast about them, doesn't matter what condition they are in. Best thing I ever did was buying a camry for my first car...NEVER gone wrong (with 246000km on it). The modding options are endless for you guys - turbo, supercharging, bodykits, stereos; you name it the sky is your limit (unless your bank account is your limit like mine) Look forward to seeing your progress! What ever you dont use WD40 like this retard guy I know. Fortunatley he realised after he had just done the rears what a massive mistake he had made. Endes up having to replace the rear pads as they didnt grip the calliper at all. Just a funny note to add

Thats what I was going to say... either that or you have some kind of super expensive ceramic pads that squeal when they are cold..

Spotted a Gen 5 sportivo with HID's and an exhaust the other night around Akuna Bay...I had my HID's on aswell. Travelling in opposite directions it was pretty clear we were both hooning, yet we slowed to admire eachothers cars then took off...

Unfortunatley the bigger mods will most likely have to wait till early next year as I'm on a very tight budget at the moment. But I am getting my car dyno'd next Saturday to see what kind of power she is making. I hold my own praise to be the fastest Gen4 N/A I've come across - a mate of mine has a Gen4 with the TRD bodykit and TRD exhaust and we maybe had a little race...lets just say I was pulling and neither of us knew why. DIY intake = more gains than a TRD exhaust?
