What is wrong with your current wipers? Mine are still the originals and they wipe like they just came out of the factory.
EDIT: On my old Camry I had the Bosch wipers, I replaced the whole thing (not just the plastic wiper) and I wasn't really that happy with them. They didn't wipe that well, but they were pretty decent in looks and quality.
It was the ones with those "spoiler" ones that Bosch call them.
not much wrong with mine at the moment. i usually replace my wiper blades before winter as part of my "winterizing" routine..
was tossing up between getting the original wiper inserts or changing the whole unit...
-
I went with BOSH and couldnt be happier. The best wipers I ever had.
anyway you can post a pic of your wiper set up mate? interested in getting some before the real winter hits here...

thanks vick!
looking fwd to hearing from you soon :)

welcome mate :)
very nice colour you chose, make sure you treat it right by giving it the whole wash/clay/polish/wax regime.
as far as mods go, check out the aurion forum, plenty of into there.
maybe have a look at wheels, HID's, LED replacements...
good luck and hope to hear from you more!!
-
one other small mod i think would be nice, althou not major...
- paint the rear toyota emblem and TRD logo black... will make them a bit more prominent, cant see the emblem on the other side but if its the one that says "toyota" then rip that off quick smart. :P
will you be getting a car bra for the front this time? as i remember seeing some pics of the sportivo's front end... would hate to chip the face of that beauty.
-
Did you grab your tail lights and rims from the old car? I saw the pics and they both looked unscathed...
anyway very fine choice for the TRD! Cant wait to see it in flesh and the mods you going to do with it...
pretty sure his kappas bit the dust...
i seriously shudder when i see that pic... think im going to go down to my garage and pat my kappas now.. :P

Congrats Daryl :)

VAROOOOMMMMM!!!!! sounds great! thanks fpr your help on where to find this beast Darryl!
looks great mate!
are you in perth? did you fit it yourself or get a shop to fit it for you?
cheers

got pics of yours bro? wen did you get yours?
Thought this might be useful for those of us who are going to be getting the rear ducktail spoiler in the Aurion GB...(did a search on "fitting body kit" and "double+sided+tape+spoiler" but didnt come up with anything useful..)
how/what would be the best way of fitting the spoiler on? I'm assuming that the good ol double sided tape may not be permanent enough for a exterior body kit part?
the process i have in mind was something like
1. degrease the area
2. apply a "glue" of some sort onto the udnerside of the spoiler
3. attach onto boot lid.
anyone here have some input on this? or is this something that a panel beater is better of doing?
cheers
dave
Mine is just fixed with double-sided tape by the panel beater since they did the colour code, they just stick it on for me... the ducktail also can be bolted on which i think Ari (Aur3on) did..

spoted chicken today near UWA/hampden road...

my rolla now looks like the moon :( my jdm taillights are cracked and my wipers and headlight washer caps flew off and smashed into tiny pieces?!

hope insurance sorts it out?

im all good. GF warned me thru sms of killer hail balls in osb park, so i rushed home just as the worst of it hit. just cleaned the car today but im thanking my lucky stars it only got wet, not dinged...
was out after the worst of it hit with my dad in his maxima and we were driving through massive "puddles" around the claremont/nedlands area...
hope everyone made it out ok. saw a lot of smashed windows.. :(
-
Did you get the tyres? Mounted? Pictures?

hey mate
i think it would look a bit strange TBH... i know for my aurion, i really like the look of the bright LED parker diagonally above the projector... same with some of the new corolla's ive seen... the parkers just give the front end a bit more "shape" in my opinion...
whats wrong with your angel eyes?? :( hope all is ok

one of my favourite aurion's on this forum... well done mate! looking great!! any future plans/mods for this car?
-
damn looked like a good turn out! spewing i couldnt make it.. :(

-
I thought you were getting 18's?
What size tyres are you getting?
sorry i should have specified this before, must of slipped my mind :P
im getting 17's... so i need 215/55 R17
think ill end up going the michelin's, seems to fit my driving better than then potenza?
-
awsome mate!! looks hot! loving the grill! makes me want mine even more!! hahah post more pics dude!
-
Have you looked into other tyre brands Dave? The RE001 are not the way to go with what you have stated there. I know there's a different Bridgestone more mated to your driving style but I don't remember which one off the top of my head :(
EDIT: The Potenza RE040 or RE050 suit you better..
hey andy,
thanks for the reply. i did look into the RE050, but they dont make it in the size i need, and i think the price would be a fair bit more than what im looking at spending.
i guess you are right thou, the potenza, while appealing, might not be the most practical opton for my driving needs..
-
Have you got yours on yet im still waiting to see yours :D Mine wont be on the car for awhile im gonna wear down the factory 17s abit first.
not yet, in the process on deciding on tyres... see my dilema in the wheels and tyres section of the forum :P

Hey all,
In the search for some new tyres, now I pretty much had my heart set on a set of Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline tyres... however I went into the tyre shop today ready to order 4 of these, but the manager drew my attention to the Michelin Primacy LC tyres.
Now I am aware that the Bridgestone tyre is more of a performance tyre whereas the Michelin is more of a "passenger tyre"
I am conflicted in choosing between the two tyres.. so I'm hoping I can get some good advice from those who have had experiences with either tyre.
My thoughts atm are:
Bridgestone.
Pros:
1. Cheaper
2. Good reviews form fellow aurion owners
cons:
1. Unsure of "quietness" of the tyre.
2. Needs to warm up before providing "good" grip?
3. wear/life span being a "performance" tyre
Michelin.
Pros:
1. Fuel saving technology (GreenX)
2. supposed to be a very quiet tyre
3. good lfie span?
Cons:
1. More expensive (approx $50.00 difference per tyre)
2. possible gimmick (greenX)
As you can see, my main priority with my tyres go in the follow order
1. Quiet
2. Good grip in wet conditions
3. Cost effective
4. fuel efficient
My driving style is basically - i like to drive at the speed limit (if not occasionally a bit over :P) my main commutes are approx 23-30km's one way. reaching speeds up to 110km/hr
i am no slouch when driving but i do like to avoid seeing the fuel pump more than once a week... :P
so! having that information, any input which you guys can give would be greatly appretiated.
Regards
Dave ;)
