A quick question,
How do we go on organising for the parts to be painted to our factory colour?? Will I have to organise someone in Victoria to paint and fit??
Thanks
most panel beaters will be able to spray the parts to colour match to your car, on the aurions, the colour code is located on the inside of the passenger door.
expect to pay around the $50.00 mark for a small item (perth prices anyway).

Hi Guys,
all those interested in group buy for aurion thai grills please post away
there roughly $90 dollars each landed to sydney postage to any other state will be extra.
please post away for expression of interest hopefully we can get a better deal.
AUR30N
Is it still possible to get teh Aurion thai grill?? if so how much would it cost landing in PErth and is there a pic of it?!
Thanks

Shipping something that large to Perth can cost $70+ which is probably the same price as the part its self. I wouldnt risk it.
im in perth and im taking part in the group buy???
well, I hope I am wrong.
edit:
ok so i just realised that its the rong group buy, my bad, pls forgive. ^_^
then to Fad 89,
check out the other thread in the group buy, that is current, althou it may already be too late as well...

hey mate
can you maybe post a pic up of the scratch? just to give a better idea on what your dealing with...
as a general rule, start with the least aggressive method first... the steel wool method scares me :S lol
im assuming your wheels have a clear coat on them??
-
hey mate
welcome :)
there are a couple of perth aurion owners on here, myself, and DRE are both driving aurions, and i think there are a few more :P
plenty you can do, HID's seem to be a pretty popular mod with the aurions...
there is a group buy going on with the grills and eyelids etc etc, but not sure if its too late to get into it.
make sure you get out for a photoshoot/cruise sometime :)

just checking out the last link that you posted in the ebay listings daryl, and was reading up on the installation
"100% Plug & Play kit, only replace your stock bulbs with xenon bulbs, plug the bulb to the ballast, and the ballast plugs to the factory OEM harness. No cutting, rewiring,or any other modification needed."
is that true??? from my very limited knowledge, when i had my HID kit fitted, there was a fair bit more involved with it than that....

Ive used scratch x 2.0 all day today, and it was beautiful in removing all the noticable scratches (eg the scratches from keys behind the door handle) all over the car. So i went for a drive tonight and whilst outside, I COULD STILL SEE ALL THE LITTLE FINE SWIRL MARKS that were there originally. I dont get how it removes all the big noticable scratches and leaves all the fine little swirl marks (i think it even went worse in some places). Am i doing something wrong? I used all the appropriate applicator pads and everything but all the little fine siwlr marks are still there :(
help please!
sorry i didnt see this post earlier.
anyway, while you have removed the larger/deeper scratches from your clear coat if your finding there are still defects there, then i would suggest the following... bear in mind, if used properly, scratch x 2.0 should not need to be followed by any other paint cleaner apart from a sealing wax or sealant to protect the finish....
a.) following it up with a less aggressive product such as swirlX
b.) revise your application methods - are you using a lot of pressure for the entire buffing process or are you starting off with a fair amount of pressure and then using slightly lighter pressure towards the end? remember, scratch x 2.0 is NOT a dimishing abrasive like its predecessor, it uses meguiars new SMAT technology. refer to this thread for some useful information http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showt...;highlight=SMAT
c.) are you working the product in long enough?
d.) are you working on too large an area at a time? if working by hand, try to reduce your work area into small squares (usually break your bonnet up into quarters)
e.) are you following up with a good quality wax? something like meguiars nxt gen tech wax 2.0 will acctually move to "fill" minor swirlx, but will NOT remove them premanently..
all this is assuming you are working with CLEAN applicator pads and CLEAN microfibre wipes to remove the products.
also assuming that you have prepared the surface of your car properly, (wash, inspect to see if you need to clay the surface)
basically, scratch x 2.0 is made for "spot repairs" if you were wanting to do the whiole car, you should be using products such as "SwirlX or for tougher defects "Ultimate compound"
hope this helped. keep us posted on how you go. :)
