  1. Yeah it's got a rev limiter. First time I hit it surprised me, accelerating in 2nd & then it felt like hitting a brick wall...
  2. Nah, as I said above it's some double meanings i.e. Castle in the Sky/Kingdom of Heaven Dr Seuss/Green Eggs & Ham Pete's Dragon/Puff The Magic Dragon Not sure where you got Police Academy but I reckon it's Timecop & so on... And just another obvious one to add to the list - Airplane!

  4. Music - Download & buy, usually download when an album comes out a week or two before the CD is released which saves me the trouble of ripping it to my MP3 player. Movies - Rent since I prefer to watch movies on my widescreen TV with Dolby 5.1 surround. TV Shows - Download if I miss an episode but I don't collect full series. Software - 100% bought apart from freeware...
  5. Found around 70 so far, probably a bit more if you count sequels & double meanings...
  6. Personally i'd like to see the next Corolla with a 2.4L VVTi 2AZ-FE 125Kw/6000rpm 224Nm/4000rpm
  7. Spotted @ Marrickville Metro ~ 7.30 pm Blue/Black Sportivo (hard to tell in the dark ;) ) w/ personal plates, looked pretty stock... EDIT: Forgot to add, also spotted a silver hatch, lowered with 17/18" chrome rims trying to park also @ the Metro...
  8. As i've said before switching from the stock 15*6 195/60/15 to 16*7 205/50/16 made a huge difference in handling, so if you can get away with using 205 tyres on the standard rims then go for it. I also noticed the original post is about 2 years old :P
  9. That's what I love about metallic silver, it always looks shiny ;) Must be a ***** to keep the cascade blue & black cars clean...
  10. Used to be a member of the old forums but they rejected my membership application for the new forum for some unknown reason so I didn't bother trying again. There were/are a few decent members but there are still alot of dickheads on the forum aswell...
  11. Reminds me of Australia Day. Driving up to Sydney there was pretty heavy traffic through Engadine including a P-plater in a riced up Lancer weaving through the traffic. Where the road goes from 70 to 90 I thought i'd keep in the left lane since I figured there would be traffic turning into the national park and further up the road to Cronulla. So what happens ahead of me? There was a lockup and the Lancer in the right lane had managed to rear-end a Corolla waiting to turn before almost taking out another car in the left lane. I think he may have tried to drive off but his car was too badly damaged.
  12. That's the old site, try http://www.toymods.net/forums/ or http://www.twincam.org/forums/
  13. Anyway I had a fun drive back up to the city tonight, most of my gripes have already been covered So true, especially at roundabouts. Yeah this annoys me, people who brake HARD when there is nothing in front of them, or people who constantly ride the brakes. Flash, flash, flash, dammit can't you maintain a steady speed? Yeah mate, it might be raining but that's no excuse to do 40 in a 90 zone. It's not very hard, what really pisses me off is the people who weave in a straight line. Hmm i'm looking at you Mr/Mrs Astina driver Just to add another one, people who don't use their headlights in twilight or during bad weather conditions. Sure you can see the other traffic but they can't see you! Ahh that feels better ;) Anyway just to reply re. cyclists. Just to put it into context, this was going south on the Princes Highway at Engadine/Heathcote just past BP. The cyclist was in the left lane & I was in the centre so he cut in front of me to go down Heathcote Rd. Since I had a pretty good view I anticipated his action but the bloke in the right lane had to brake pretty hard to avoid hitting him.
  14. Got another one to add... Silver stock Stivo driving on Bexley Road, plates AQA something & blonde woman driving ;)
  15. Alright as a fellow cyclist I understand your frustration but as a driver i'll tell you what annoys me... Cyclists expect to be treated as a fellow road user except they don't follow the rules, all too often I see cyclists blatantly ignoring red signals and riding through intersections so the same cyclist that caused problems 200m back causes the same problem again 200m further down the road. Want another one? How about crossing two lanes of heavy traffic in order to make a right turn, happened in front of me the other day when there was a perfectly good set of traffic lights just up the road. Sometimes it works both ways <_<
  16. Hmm I dunno about that <_< I was travelling @ 60-80 & you still passed me from a standing start before turning off at Kanahooka Road ;) Yeah i'm usually there Wednesday & Thursday afternoons, are those your plates? Looks familiar...
  17. Didn't get a close look at the car or driver, pretty sure it had a red Sportivo badge though...
  18. no Blue ones with gold badging...? :o :P Nah, never seen it :P Do you park on campus? I usually park on Northfields Avenue or Robsons Road when I can get a spot ;)
  19. About 8am this morning on the old Princes Highway just outside Dapto Silver pre-facelift 'stivo giving it some to get past me ;) I've also seen quite a few Sportivos around UOW lately - silver, red & black. Anyone on here?
  20. 6 points must've been double demerits, ouch :o Personally I think that rule is stupid, you get 3 (6) points regardless of whether you're exceeding the limit by a couple of k's or if you're 30k's over the limit. So if you're doing 61kph or 89kph in a 60 zone you still get the same penalty. Hmm, I wonder which is worse? PS: Sorry this isn't helpful to the topic but I just hate the inconsistency re. points
  21. After a bit of digging around here's some more information. The trojan is actually known as Spy Sheriff or SpywareNo! & it appears to install from the Google ad menu. Here are some more sites with further information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spysheriff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpywareNo http://www.lavasoftresearch.com/spywareno1.shtml And this site has advanced removal instructions if Ad-Aware can't fix the problem but I haven't tried it yet. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic22402.html
  22. Here's the official site http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
  23. Yeah I got the same thing last night, Norton picked it up & I fixed it by restoring an earlier save point. Apparently it might have something to do with the Google ads at the top of the page... EDIT: As I posted this the same trojan tried again, lucky I caught it this time
