  1. For sale: Ex demonstrator, low k's
  2. Spotted a silver hatch hammering around the industrial estate at Turella on my way home from work around 6pm. Maybe it's a secret project, for a second or two I almost thought it sounded turboed
  3. Well i've only filled up once in the last month & even then it was only about $40 or so for a bit over half a tank. 50,000k's & 3 years down the track i'm still averaging ~ 7l/100k's give or take a little depending on where I drive which hasn't been very far lately ;)
  4. Did anyone else think the plate AWU50M is meant to read Awesome or have I just seen too many crappy personal plates Might not get you for speeding but maybe it's targeting other 'hoon' activities...
  5. Other - FBI 94.5 & Triple J 105.7. 2SER 107.3 is also worth a shot sometimes as is VOXFM 106.9 if you're in Wollongong. Here's a list I made a while ago... For people outside Sydney here's a link to find local stations... http://www.ausradiostations.com/
  6. The only other Stout i've seen was Rod from Toymods & here's a link to the sale thread on the old forums. http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=m...rt=0#msg_180429 The new Toymods forum is located here & they could probably give you a bit more info... http://www.toymods.net/forums/
  7. Well I read on another (non-Toyota) forum about a Sportivo beating an IS250 and this was from the word of the IS250 driver. So i'd say in a straight line the Sportivo edges out the IS250 but in a rolling contest i'd daresay the Lexus would walk all over the Sportivo, never mind the cornering ability etc. If all goes well i'm hoping to get myself into an IS250 Sports later in the year
  8. Just thought i'd clarify, i'm talking about the 4th Gen late 90's Camry Conquest and when you hit the remote central locking it also wound up the windows at the same time. That was a feature I was hoping for but obviously it's lacking from the Corolla...
  9. I've got an '03 Conquest and my windows don't go up after the ignition is switched off :( However the old Camry at work did so I guess it's possible despite what Toyota say.
  10. Hmm, what is it about May? My car was part of the May '03 upgrade which for the Conquest included standard alloys & all power windows rather than fronts only, while I believe the interior trim also got a slight upgrade aswell. When choosing insurance there were two brackets but I don't know if that changes model year or make year. Maybe the ones built prior to May were considered part of MY03 while the ones built after May were considered MY04. Where's melvinlau or any other Toyota rep ;)
  11. Yeah i'm aware of the Subaru numbering. However Model Year is a different concept but it's not something we generally see in Australia, if it's built in 2006 then it's a 2006 model. Call a spade a spade ;) However i've often seen overseas models released as next years model even if they started production in the current year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_year
  12. Generally it's model year, MY06 = 2006 model.
  13. Here's the correct link (56k warning!) http://www.geenstijl.nl/paginas/mirror/200...azda/index.html Wow, amazing collection, I wonder how they all got there in the first place? EDIT: Not sure if this will work but it gives you some idea about the size of the collection... http://www.geenstijl.nl/paginas/mirror/200...da/afa610oq.jpg
  14. Check out this guys profile - the whole episode was there last time I checked. http://youtube.com/profile?user=duffman692006 PS: It's Season 9 Episode 3 & there are 8 parts in total, the redneck rampage starts on part 6 ;)
  15. Here it is on the Pukekohe Raceway. NLZoai--0oA
  16. Just a couple I took in the city today on my crappy Nokia phone... In the Chinese Gardens And on the Harbour EDIT: Just a couple more random pics including the obligatory car shot ;)
  17. Why Get Married? You have two choices in life: You can stay single and be miserable, or get married and wish you were dead. At a cocktail party, one woman said to another, "Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?" "Yes, I am. I married the wrong man." A lady inserted an ad in the classifieds: "Husband Wanted". Next day she received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: "You can have mine." When a woman steals your husband, there is no better revenge than to let her keep him. A woman is incomplete until she is married. Then she is finished. A little boy asked his father, "Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?" Father replied, "I don't know son, I'm still paying." A young son asked, "Is it true Dad, that in some parts of Africa a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her?" Dad replied, "That happens in every country, son." Then there was a woman who said, "I never knew what real happiness was until I got married, and by then, it was too late." Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. If you want your spouse to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say -- talk in your sleep. Just think, if it weren't for marriage, men would go through life thinking they had no faults at all. First guy says, "My wife's an angel!" Second guy remarks, "You're lucky, mine's still alive." Husband and wife are waiting at the bus stop with their nine children. A blind man joins them after a few minutes. When the bus arrives, they find it overloaded and only the wife and the nine kids are able to fit onto the bus. So the husband and the blind man decide to walk. After a while, the husband gets irritated by the ticking of the stick of the blind man as he taps it on the sidewalk, and says to him, "Why don't you put a piece of rubber at the end of your stick? That ticking sound is driving me crazy." The blind man replies, "If you would've put a rubber at the end of YOUR stick, we'd be riding the bus, so shut the hell up."
  18. Yeah that's what i'd like to know aswell. Apart from the Royal National Park & surrounds where else do people ride around Sydney? I've heard that the Blue Mountains & Kuringai Chase National Park have some good trails but i've never been out there with a bike. Ahh I used to ride over 100k's a week on the south coast but now i'm lucky if I get a chance to ride along the Cooks River out to Homebush once every couple of months.
  19. Tyres Available To Replace Sportivo Rims
  20. Try http://www.mobile9.com/ Plenty of Java games etc & i've seen some good reviews about the site. I used to have a list of sites bookmarked (i've got a 6280) but I lost it when I reformatted my old computer...
  21. Nope :P Actually it's quite a range but a shame the base Omega is so poor. Anyway here's an interesting article comparing the REAL private sales figures. http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...ArticleID=19729
  22. People who park in a clearly marked NO PARKING area outside my house. Has anyone got any ideas to stop them parking there again? Nothing illegal of course, just enough to be a major PITA ;) I thought about surrounding their car with wheelie bins but knowing them they'll probably just move the bins out of the way and cause an inconvience to the other residents...
  23. Who needs to be told? I knew that back in high school. I'd say it's Darwinism at work except for the fact she had kids, anyway they'll get their Wii out of the fat compo payment her family is likely to receive. Heard a great comment on this the other day, instead of trying to win a Wii for her kids in a stupid radio contest maybe she should've been at work earning enough money to buy one. Hell even if they've watched the Simpsons in the last couple of years then surely they've seen the episode where Grandpa Simpsons kidneys exploded EDIT: Ok after watching the videos that'd be right, make water illegal ;) Anyway I think there is certainly a civil case deserving of compensation but again i'd argue that the contestants should've known the risks or at least done a bit of research before participating. And before anyone wants to flame me 'won't somebody think of the children' style my mum died when I was a kid so i'm certainly not immune from the feeling however in her case it was an everyday case of breast cancer...
