  1. Whilst it is different here in Qld, a brief search seems to show you are right beastmode - the auto restriction only applies to P1 if that's what you did your driving test in.

Talk about a whole load of rubbish, driving a manual is FAR more involved than an auto especially when starting out. Can you imagine a first time manual driver, on an open license, pulling out into traffic and stalling it? There would be a whole load of dangerous situations that could easily happen, especially if they're taught how to drive one via youtube!

Guess it just proves how seriously ****** NSW driver license system is.

Oh, wasn't disputing whether beastmode was being right or wrong; I think it is staggering that it is allowed.

As you said yourself, imagine stalling when pulling into oncoming traffic.

  2. But I think the price difference is what makes a brand name unit different.

Proper testing before release, after sales support RE: release of firmware updates if required; and should you need it a warranty I would trust more than the CCS unit.

  3. K_san, how graceful of you. I'm not going to even bother coming up with a response to that other than to tell you I'm not even going to lower myself to your levels. Get some maturity about yourself.

    Steven is correct though.

You can't expect Silver Service when you're paying Black and White cab prices.

  4. Driving Track means nearby road or Round ab't.My dealer has enough space here for a drive test even round ab't behind their service yard....So ignore my comments if this is not the case with most of the dealers...What i meant is dealer could look the issue in detail before they make blind steps...in this case they broke the drive shaft which could have been avoided and repaired if they checked it first instance and saved few dollars....

How do you know they didn't take the necessary steps before resorting to a test drive?

Southside Woolloongabba is my nearest Service dealer (the service department is located on Logan road and has an exit on Jurgens Street. The nearest roundabout is 1.4km away.

Is that too far a drive for you? Would you be ok letting them take it out that far? Anyone who has been to the SS Woolloongabba department will know it is paired with Southside Ford so there are cars everywhere. No chance of doing a proper test drive on premise; so what are they to do given you don't want them to drive it 'far away' from the dealership?

You are what is wrong with people these days. You expect them to do an extraordinary job but are only willing to pay next to nothing, then you start talking about taking legal action when things don't go your way.

  5. They were a serious pain in the ***** to open. The glue they used to seal it was so heat resistant, to separate the lens from the light housing I ended up warping most of the housing to get it off. I can add heat again to remould it and use Sika to seal it; but God it was not fun.

  6. Nice!!!

    Cheers mate :)

    >That sounds good.

One thing... would you say... retrofit a set of projectors into it? I have a set of Gen5 ones from the US one here that I have already opened but I know that I will have to modify the mounts heavily for them to match the AU ones.

Sounds like a plan I have a basic set here too , i'll have a look to see how they will fit.

got a linky to your set?

    I got these ones: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LED-Bumper-Fog-02-04-Camry-Halo-Projector-Headlights-Black-Head-Lights-Lamp-Set-/290926313410?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACamry%7CYear%3A2002&hash=item43bc8f3fc2&_uhb=1
