  1. off topic, if u get booked in another state speeding, running reds etc. and u hold an interstate license, can u still loose points? or do u just get fined?

    http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Licensing/Visitors-and-new-residents/Interstate-drivers.aspx

I believe you are still up for the monetary penalty but I am unsure of the financial penalty. It will depend on the state as the legislation is different.

IIRC, a certain person from QLD was banned from driving in one of the southern states (Vic or NSW) as a result of an accumulation of demerits. Still had to pay the fines though.

  2. yeh 12 points for full license, 7 for greens and i think 4 for reds.

i was ****tin myself this morning wen i read the mail sayin i had no license, the fine was for 4 points lol just wanted to double check and i could find anything on the net....... cheers guys

Are you on a QLD or a NSW license?

  3. I was going to reply with some valid input, but, after your impatience this will suffice.

    LONGCAT!!!

this is the sort of thing i would expect from this unfriendly forum , I don't think there is a mechanic on here, not like other forums

Oh, the ones in Master Jack?

  4. You say very light scratching so chances are you don't need anything more than a light polish and a good wax afterwards, both of which can be done by hand if you don't have a machine.

I find AutoGlym Super Resin Polish an excellent all in one. It's more of a Polish/Wax/Cleaner (in that order) and will really bring out the finish of your paint (especially if it is that blue in your avatar). If the scratches are abit deeper but doesn't warrant any real cutting; Meguiars ColorX is not a bad choice. It's doesn't polish as well as the AutoGlym but does a better of job of removing defects.

Both will give you a layer of wax on the top but it never hurts to add a layer of wax on top of it. If you're shopping from your local Autocra-p/Supertheif/Ripco there are a few products you can buy. Avoid anything that says Polish or Cleaner on it as you'll strip some of the protective layer of wax from the polish.

A good how to wax guide can be found here

  5. yeh.. hopefully it will still pass rego cos its due next week lol.... otherwise it will be an excuss to get an after market exhaust :P

Not really worth it if you don't get a header-back system (or fix up the y-pipe, the biggest restriction). You won't get much power and a fair bit of drone and rubbish noise.

  6. i do have the will , biggest thing stopping me is knowledge because i just got into cars!!! second is finances as i am a uni student ,casual worker. but the biggest thing is knowledge , i dont know where to buy the items or know what items will fit or not. but i am still googling/asking on here.

A camry is NOT a performance car

    I know right...

It's not. Like everything there is always an exception but the Camry isn't a performance car.

There is no doubt Tony's car is fast but how does it handle?
