  1. Why not buy local from an Australian manufacturer and keep the money in Australian hands and buy Kings?

Also, be careful buying stuff labelled for a 2002-2006 Camry. Most of the stuff that just list the parts for 2002-2006 is usually for the 30 series Camry which is very different from the 36 series Australian built (over 75% of components for the 36 series was sourced locally) Camry.

  2. The KYB AGX series is very good when matched with good springs they are stiffness adjustable so yu can make them soft if you want. Get Eibach sport lines springs as they are engineered to drop the car but also improve handling. The other brands you mentioned only drop the car. Keep in mind with the drop you will have to get camber correcter for the front as it will be changed when you drop the car. The koni red set is just a bit better than stock but if your shocks are blown it will make a massive difference. DON'T BUY KING SPRINGS PLEASE

What;s your problem with King springs? I love bro science!

What in the name of Jesus is bro science?

  3. Mate what do you expect to achieve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are almost identical except for the name plate. :nono:

Then again it could be worth an extra 5kw, :whistling:

You,ll probably have to take out a loan to be able to afford the rediculous price of it in the first place

At first I was thinking the engine cover, but I think OP might be referring to all the plastic bits around the side.

  4. Judging by the price you've been quoted, sounds like you're referring to the lens of the headlight which you can't find replacements for.

If it is just moisture inside, drill a hole or two in the top and the bottom (of the back of the housing) which should help eliminate moisture build up.

If the front cover is yellowed/foggy looking. Hit it with some 2000grit wet and dry, then polish over with a rotary/orange pad/plastic polish a few times. Then use a sealant/wax over the top.

  5. Revamp meanss adjusting it to the intake no need to crack anything to adjust it. E85 it's a great new era way for gain and the exhausts by hi tech in darlinghurst are just as good these guys are on of the best for exhausts ,try e85 see the difference you'll see on some cars you gain up to 40% more gain :)

Gain 40% from fuel change your joking right, you'll be lucky to gain 5%.

    http://hioctaneracing.com/blog/2011/7/3/the-truth-about-e85-fuel.html

85% octane fuel will give you gains. It's a pain in the ***** but.

  6. Ummm... I don't know much about cars, let alone the Sportivo but I was certain they actually get a HP gain from going to a CAI setup.

I know a CES CAI boast a HP gain (http://www.cesracing.com.au/products_7.htm) and a few members have used this setup.

Yeah...this is the kit that we installed, and I certainly couldn't replicate their supposed power gain on my car. When you say you're certain, what makes you certain?

I actually asked them for some dyno results to verify their 5-7 kw but they never got back to me. I sold the thing on ebay for nearly what I paid, even after I put the description in that it doesn't appear to do anything

There is a gentleman who used to have a silver 2zz which the CES CAI and CES Catback was designed on. He's since sold it but he's Brisbane based so we see him often; but I don't want to disclose too many details as I am not completely sure.

I'll get in touch and see if he can explain more.

  7. But you aren't posting up the actual lab results, so both of you don't have a foot to stand on as you both are posting things like 'I've seen this' and 'real world facts' but there isn't any tangible results for us to see.

I'm as narrowminded as the next person but your argument regarding the K&N filters is nonetheless interesting and I would be interested in seeing the results.
