  1. The price of the shocks are about right from the shock store (that is, the KYB's) but you can get them for about $150ea from Greg @ GSL Rallysport. A few members have bought from him and he's no-nonsense and honest. The KYB's will do fine on lowered springs, the biggest issue is that the Excel-G's aren't a performance strut so they aren't the ultimate in handling.
  2. V6 manual. Man this thing was built to be supercharged.
  3. I have found few US sites actually selling this exact part. And some forums say that the Toyota Solara Gen 1 shares the same chassis as the 02' camry so have to look ones that fit the Solara. I havent even seen a Solara i guess but maybe it is a US export model. My other question now is are both the V6 and 4 cylinder engine models share the same chassis size at the front? Like do I need to be specific with the engine type? Since I will be most likely getting this online i wont have the chance to do any fitting. The TRD one is available online and is pricey too but looks great. Will look for other brands too. Most of the sites don't realise it isn't in stock till you pay and go to order it. I searched for months for one to no success. Head over to solaraguy.com where you can find some secondhand. The TRD one will fit on your Gen4 no worries. STYLSH is using one on his Supercharged Gen4 and SupaTouring was using one on his supercharged Gen4 as well. Being adjustable, they also fit on the Gen5's as well.
  4. The only strut brace that I know will fit on the Gen4 (not saying there aren't others; this is the only 1 I know of) is the TRD Strut brace. Part number is: PTR06-06991-01. They aren't made anymore and are hard to find secondhand.
  5. Buy a set of KYB Excel-G shocks which should work fine with your Superlows. I run the King Lows and KYB's with no bumping/scrubbing issues. They will be cheaper than Toyota Genuine as well. However, if you can wait a month or so I can sell you my KYB's (Front and back, Fronts are ~25000km, Rears are ~15000km old) cheap.
  6. They are pretty good under street conditions, especially with uprated Pads and rotors - but if you're tracking, they're probably not that adequate given the weight of the Aurion: Now I want to be clear - this extreme and on the track, not just everyday driving... I should have clarified, I use the Aurion calipers paired with the DBA4000 series rotors.
  7. Spotted Ashs' old TRD turning onto Wickham St today. Custom number plates
  8. To be fair, the brakes on the Aurion are very good (I'm using the rotors + calipers off an Aurion). Get your hands on some slotted rotors + better pad and you'll notice a big improvement with your braking.
  9. Well at least you don't fall into the normal Asian stereotype. Singapore Noodle FTL.
  10. Open the boot, on the left hand + right hand sides (in the corner) there should be a black tab on the boot liner. Pull it open and you should find what you need. They are stored separately to the spare wheel in the Gen5's
  11. Well I am glad I am not the only one who feels the same way. How do you feel about the R-style headers + ECU mods?
  12. I actually think they would go well with the ECU and those headers from R-Style.
  13. You certainly will. Plenty of things you can do with your Gen 5 :)
  14. In 1 video? sure, its going 260kph and it got there quite fast, but CVT's, DSG, Auto, etc take ALL the fun out of driving Oh yeah, but if I had too choose an auto; CVT would be a selling point for me. Mums car would be delicious if it had CVT!
  15. Booked her in to get re-dynoed. Fingers crossed for 155kW minimum.
  16. I don't know if it will be a Colt beater (not because I don't think it can; but because I don't know how fast this will be) but it will flog the '1ZZ BOSS' though
  17. The 2az + 1mz will take the e10 ok. I can't comment on how it will affect fuel consumption or performance.
  18. Jealous! Most of my major mods will have to wait till early next year cause I am saving up for a trip to south america. Hopefully it will be in tip-top shape like yours for the next annual meet in Brissy. Only did it because it was causing my rear sway bar to scrape against my strut. Very annoying squeak and it's generally not good. Very happy with the new feel though. Yeah man, trying to get in touch with Craig @ Dyno Hire. It won't give me much in terms of peak power, but it should finally put me past 155kW and stop Dave (SupaTouring aka The Viking) from laughing at me every time I talk about not having enough power.
  19. Had some work done on the suspension yesterday. SuperPro lower steering rack, SuperPro lower control arm double offset, SuperPro engine steady + SuperPro trailing arm bushes. Noticeable difference in how the car drives. It's significantly stiffer (so the KYB's aren't as soft as I first thought), I can feel the engine jump when I short shift and the steering is significantly tighter and more direct. Got a really good price on the parts (that I didn't have) and the installation.
  20. Wowzers, that's quite an oversight. Let us know how you go + welcome to the forums
  21. Finally a rides thread. Get yourself a supercharger now adam.
