  1. Looks good man, stock y pipe is as restrictive as the 1mz-fe. You should see some nice gains
  2. is that a bicycle repair stand i spy in the corner of that pic?? mtb or roadie? Both, I have a 2006 Trek 6500 mtb and a 2005 Argon18 Radon (both heavily modified): Trek has been upgraded to full XT, Custom wheelset (DT 4.1D rims, Champion spokes, XT hubs), Bontrager Race X-lite seatpost, Fizik Arione saddle, Amoeba carbon handlebars + amoeba stem. Looking to upgrade this one soonish. Max spend will be about $4000, unsure if I should stay hardtail or go dual. Probably looking at: Felt, BMC, Santa Cruz, Cannondale or Trek as the next manufacturer. The Argon18 is full ultegra (6600) but running a SRAM Rival 50/36 crankset, Spinergy Xaero Lite wheelset (2008 Bontrager Race-X-Lites when I used to do my sprint sessions), Continental GP4000 tyres, Token aero carbon handlebars, Pro PLT carbon stem, Bontrager Race X-lite seatpost, Fizik Arione saddle, Ultegra pedals. I enjoy riding but I am not very good at either discipline. What about yourself?
  3. New bodykit would be nice anyway man ;) Kings only make superlows for the 36 series for the rear. You'd have to run King lows in the front or Lovells superlows in the front (or alternatively run Lovells supers in the front and rear) OR get Kings to make a superlow spring for you. It's kind wierd because my rear looks to sit lower than my front. It sucks that the lows still sit quite high. My camry still looks like a 4wd.
  4. The Gen6's are the Best of them All if you wanted to go VIP. Long wheelbase, nice front and rear light styling = win.
  5. I like to try using Vpower 98 once a month with my car. Should I be doing anything with my camry before trying VPower 98. I was using Standard unleaded (caltex) all the time. there are times thay my camry starts rough and I want it to run smooth.. I hope burning out some carbon build up would help thour VPower. I also used to run VPower once a month in my Magna with no problems except a large hole in the wallet. Totally rediculous the extra price difference Since owning my Camry about 3 weeks, I have only used Shell 95 octane. The difference in price between E10 and 95 octane doesn't effect the wallet. Should I empty my tank first til it lights up before pumping VPower. I believe there will be about 10 liters left in tank. So the possibility is... VPower will mix up with 10 liters of Standard Unleaded. will that be a problem? Sorry i'm just a new car owner :) No, mixing it up will be fine. If you are really concerned and don't want to run a premium fuel all the time; just fill up a few times in a row with premium.
  6. Kings only make a superlow spring for the rear, they don't make the fronts. As for a cracking bodykit, I believe the term "Sportivo Accessories Bodykit" has been thrown about lately... B)
  7. The sportivo Accessories bodykit. They were developed as an aftermarket choice for the Altise and Ateva (not for the Sportivo and Azura, even though they will fit) and have a much more aggressive look than the standard Sportivo bodykit. It also comes with the full rear lower skirt which I think, looks ace. I refer you to mbruce's ride which has the kit attached: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28898 The Sportivo Accessories bodykit on yours would look good; you already have the High-rise spoiler and the sports grille. I know a dealer who has a kit who wants to sell, PM me if you are keen. Looking to still run 18's (any larger is too expensive for wheel + rubber) but with more width and offset. Roll the guards then something like 18x8.5, 35 offset on the front and 18x8.5, 24 offset on the rear. If I remember correctly...Andrew only had the Sportivo Accessories front lip and High Rise spoiler. This kit adds the side skirts (which are a little different from the standard sportivo) and the rear lip.... correct me if I'm wrong Andrew. Yes and no Adam. The kit doesn't come with a spoiler standard but does come with the other things you have mentioned. I believe the kit should come with the sports grille as standard but mbruce did not get one with his kit.
  8. Sportivo Accessories bodykit landed today, $380 including shipping. Paint is obviously the wrong colour but @ that price I couldn't say no. Excited to get it put on as I'll get my boot + rear bar repainted/fixed up + the rear will have the full back skirt which will dress it up nicely. Due to a certain Bush Mechanic (+ finding out that in QLD rolling guards is not illegal), new wheels are on the agenda too. The hot contender at this stage is: Enkei PKR They look good, good brand and they will be 100000 times easier to clean than the Advanti Alphas that I currently run. Plus a little more offset + width for a more aggressive look as well.
  9. Didn't do much (besides wash it) but I did get this: Sportivo Accessories bodykit. Front spoiler, rear lower spoiler (which I was really after), side skirts and sports grille. It's the wrong colour but @ $380 posted I couldn't say no.
  10. Hrmm... that's not wierd at all. and continuing on that theme... I'll come out. Then I might think about going to the loop afterwards.
  11. Daryl as moderator? Uh oh, going from previous discussions there won't be much of a message board left! Comes as no surprise, grats on getting it
  12. The biggest letdown of the gen6 is the engine. 2az-fe to power all that mass = not good. Especially with the Sportivo. Standard Gen5 Sportivo (the altise + ateva was different) suspension + chassis setup wasn't to bad at all; but I haven't been in a Gen6 before so I can't comment.
  13. Had a further look into the Hiace master brake cylinder and it can be found here: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_1991_TOYOTA_HIACE_RZH103R-RBMRSQ_4702.html Gave Toyota Parts a call and you cannot buy the plastic fittings separately, so the wrecker is still the best option. Also asked about the Dyna Truck reservoir and they are end of line so you have to go to a wrecker. However, the reservoir should be the same on most/all HU30R and SU20R Dyna Trucks. The HU30R and SU20R models are pre-1985 which have the right reservoir. The 1985+ models have a square one.
  14. Links are indeed dead, looking for some copies from SG and will upload them when I find them. Changing the sparks will be just as fun even if I didn't have the supercharger (though I wouldn't have to fiddle with the belt). That's one of the reasons why I recommend the change! :) that being said, apparently there is a guy who has a Gen4 and claims he can change the rear bank plugs without taking anything off...
  15. KYB make a good OEM replacement for the 10 series Camry (more to the point, good OEM replacements for the entire Camry range). The part numbers are: 334171 334479 334170 334478. These will work with your springs so it is simply a strut replacement. Kings also make a low spring for the SDV10 which should work with the KYB struts as well, if you wish to lower your car a little.
  16. Wrong thread man, but you possibly could. It would need alot of stuff to be made up for it though. With the Kit, I think I am going to get it painted up here; so don't worry about asking your friend man :)
  17. When you email every dealer (that offers an email address) in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria; you are bound to find more than 1 dealer who has had the kit sitting in parts for the last 6 years or so.
  18. Just a heads up to all Gen5 owners. I know of a dealer who has the Sportivo Accessories bodykit and is looking to sell. He is selling below the RRP. For reference, it is the same kit mbruce has: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28898 The kit is in 3N6, vantage red. He also has the standard Low-rise spoiler that he can sell with the kit as well. If you are interested, give me a PM and I'll swing the email addy across for you.
  19. I think I worded that incorrectly. Replacing the pump in the tank in the Gen5's aren't user friendly due to the way the housing has been setup. When going to 5.5-6.0psi I will do the mod properly, but in the meantime a possible solution to ensure fuel delivery isn't an issue @ 4psi could be the addition of an inline pump and a new regulator. When going to the next boost level I will add a return line, mod the housing and the fuel rails (in addition to a bigger pump + injectors) + ECU. It's just that it is a very expensive upgrade for more boost.
  20. If you had to choose KYB over Monroe, choose KYB. They are definitely a better quality shock.
  21. Kurosaki and birdie, I'll email you guys in the next day or so. Just in the middle of the writeup. News on the power front: - Boost controller is still dumping boost too early. It's dropping boost around the 6000rpm mark; same as the switch we were using before. - Smaller pulley doesn't do much for the power output - When boost kicks in the AFR is running a little lean My dyno produced as a result... 149.5kW. I gained a whole 0.1kW. As you can imagine (and some of the boys can support) I was pretty ****** off. Boost controller can be fixed but fuel delivery will be an issue. Having a sniff around at some ideas instead of doing the whole fuel setup.
  22. SupaTouring has some Koni Adjustable shocks/strut setup that he had made up for himself before he got himself the TRD Aurion. I'd let the 4 shocks (2 front, 2 rear) go for $350-400 or so.
  23. Alloys + FI incoming, right? :) Looking good adam. Check your PM too.
