  1. maybe a stupid question but did u drop a 2zzge in a wagon? cuz ur model says "NZE121 aero mock-up" or something rather. reason why i'm asking is that if you dropped a corolla 2zzge engine the belt will be different to a celica 2zzge engine as the accessories are slightly different causing the belts to be a different length.
  2. will a buckled rim cause a brake rotor to warp? or would it be the other way around?
  3. update went to change my brake pads today as they were WAY OVERDUE. was meant to get them done last wednesday but the panel beater guys didn't do their job right the first time. so had to push it back to this week. one thing i regret. here's why... Rearleft rim = normal brake dust Rearright rim = normal brake dust + metal shavings + rust shaving's from the rotor Still don't know what happened? look at these pictures then... overview of brake pads + rotors left (inner) brake pad u can see the difference between the left and right rotor. see the lip on the left one. u can see the rotor has been eaten through with metal to metal contact with the pads :( better pic maybe? the left inner pad worn almost to the metal backing too... yes... only after 1 week of VERY CONSERVATIVE driving, i ate into my rotors all the way to the minimum thickness allowed (8.00mm). the original thickness is 9.00mm with a mesuring tool i got these measurements before and after the trd black pads were used. Rear-left = 8.25mm -> 8.20mm Rear-right = 8.30mm -> 8.02mm so in actual fact after 3 track days and 1 year of driving (40,000kms) of using these TRD blacks the difference was only 0.05mm. Which is damn good considering the abuse and hard driving these brakes have endured. i regret not having to change them sooner as i would have gotten at least 2 sets of TRD blacks on these rotors before warranting a change over to new ones :( so a job that would have costed me 120 bucks costed me 280 bucks instead -_- whats worse is that i only knew something was really wrong when the rear right started making metal on metal noise. and from the outside the brakes looked very normal. i should have took the wheel off and checked inside as well. -_- anyways, new RDA non-slotted are in now and i will guarantee that these rotors will last me more than 10 years provided the trd blacks will be still available each time. moral of the story? stop driving ur car and check ur brakes in case they are completely worn out. it will save u ALOT of coin. kenshin out
  4. hi mate... just wondering if your clutch is beginning to cark it? cuz mine did at 120,000kms :P anyways. if u want better acceleration all across the rev range. when ur clutch goes out i suggest you get the lightened flywheel with the new clutch too. it may be abit hard to drive at first but u will see the benefits when u drive it hard. ive driven a sportivo with the ces inside and there is a minute difference between the two. the pod is the most important item (as long as u dont have a crappy cai)
  5. this is my inspiration... bring on the 1:45!!!
  6. quick reply... but im not going to be able to make this one... family commitments as most of you know :)
  7. the tape that comes with the eyelids are rubbish. if its double sided tape just slowly peel it off and use plast-X or a goo-remover of your choice to remove the residue. if u remove it slowly, u wont damage the eyelids.
  8. Yeah. I also saw why Toyota charge 160 bucks to do it. Too much bullsh*t But yeah, these pictures are clear and simple enough. Some DIY's here don't have pictures. I thought doesn't take long to take a few snaps just to show things more clearly rather than writing an essay. Pictures do tell a thousand words... if your a noob/scared (like me first time) = 2.5 hours if you've done it before and remember how everything goes = 1 hour (max)
  9. so much for being subtle taking pictures of "someone elses" car LOL :P
  10. depends how you stuck it on. a bit more info would help. if u did use some sort of strong double sided tape or flexible glue, DJKOR's suggestion would help. a bit more info would help us answering ur questions
  11. Hehe nah i resorted to the sikaflex again. But this time i used masking tape to hold it on the outside. Dried in the sunlight in a few hours and took off the tape the morning after! Looks pretty much like oem now. ;) finally my car is back how i want it now. Just need to detail it before my life changes forever
  12. and it didnt happen becuz u spent it on something else... FYL
  13. be more specific?
  14. Ok so i got my car back yday and i checked everything on the car to make sure everything was smick. Wasnt perfect but it would have to do. I still wasnt happy with the passenger guard mould so i decided to fix it myself. As i was peeling it slowly from the door, i realised that 1. The idiot stuck sika flex behind it in 5 places. 2. He reused the old door mould when he said ye was going to give me a new one. Anyways, i took off the mould n tried to clean off the cured sikaflex as much as possible. Tried to stick it back with only doubled sided tape but it came off after 2 hours. So off to bunnings to get 3M tape heavy duty tape to stick this mould on... Still havent got it but wondering if its enough for sticking this thing on exteriorly... Updates soon...
  15. i personally like the front bumper ofthe facelift more... it looks more aggressive... 2k posts WOOOHOOO!!! ok. i'll shut up now :P
  16. ZZZzzZzZzZzzZzzz....

  17. lower mounting brackets were missing as well as the insulation foam and the speed nuts/clips. today was meant to get my car back but they said tomorrow. they've stuck sika flex 227 on it and they fabricated "metal" brackets to suit the rear skirt to replace the orginal ones. if they fit ok then it will be even better as the genuine ones are plastic. i'll make sure they sweat beads tomorrow as i'm going to check every mutha fuqn panels they've sprayed and fixed. i'm NOT going there to fix little ****ty things again
