  1. yes all the way. 2.5 - mandrel bent - stainless steel - hotdog (or two) - muffler that doenst drone or you will regret it :P
  2. lol... thats IF they give it to me
  3. its nice... something different from the original key. it works well too. but remember when u open the thing u have to know how to load the spring when u put back the case... i think he turned the case to load the spring anti-clockwise. turn it 2 revolutions then it will work nicely :)
  4. wat do u get with that price? and yes u reuse ur old cat :)
  5. Got this today to replace my broken key case :) then cut for 15 bucks and the transpoder put inside... works well... and wont brake even if i drop it :) also... got these ready for another big service ;) hopefully all ready for track day in november. new PBs set then also with insurance, showed them the parts and the bracket in the kit ad finally he said that they will get a new rear lip and use those parts for my car. finally getting somewhere... told them i want my car done next week at the panel place. no excuses and no mess ups.
  6. twas perfect fit john!
  7. one of my mates said if u got at least 3 cm clearance from the top of the wheel to the guard then I'm good. I know I've got 4.5 in the front and when everything is out in the rear, its 4.5. with everything in the rear its 3.5cm hopefully enough... -_-
  8. My cousins Mazdaspeed MS01-R rims. Specs are 15x7, +35ET made by Rays Engineering. Beautiful rims they are... He left them at my place so i decided to test fit them to see how they are because the new rims i'm getting have similar offset. :) Front - looks like i need abit of camber. im thinking neg 3 degrees Rear - i hope the height i raised is enough to not scrub on the inner guards (i don't like rolling the guards an option because when i change back to stockies, it will look mega gay). Also... 6k low beams and 3k foggies :) thats all for now waiting for my wheels to come and powder coat them... :P
  9. u had a varex? just close the flap and it will be quiet. and that resonator(s) is/are overkill... No not a varex muffler. Also Just wondering if a 14" rear oval muffler is what u guys would use? yeah they look abit much and are big, the thing I like about them is just the no fart sound at any rev ranges a very deep sound yet quiet. I do want it abit louder and more aggressive but would like to retain the deepness and the performance (straight thru 2.5" everything I have found is best 4 performance) maybe 2x 5" x14" round resonator instead of these 7" x 12" round with lip would do the trick? u see mine on the top? its not as big as yours. the sound is nice. no fart and is tucked up quite nicely. u want sound, u have to release more back pressure. that means using a smaller hot dog but not too small as it will not do much to quell the fart noise
  10. down low yes. but pulls harder in the top end. u will loose the kick in transition into lift as well.
  11. look at the "buzzing sound" thread I made at the end I threw in 2 resis n it fixed the farting noise. the resis don't have to be huge. resonators r for muffling the sound abit. this creates abit of back pressure to stop the farty noise. I had no resonator and it farted like ur typical Honda with an exhaust too big for its engine. remember its really one or the other. u want noise but without having too big a resonator but also not too little as so u r actually loosing power. fart noise = loss of power. too much back pressure = loss of power. 2.5" piping mandrel bent with the right amount of resonator = Max power possible at top end. hope this helps
  12. u had a varex? just close the flap and it will be quiet. and that resonator(s) is/are overkill...
  13. you have the stivo cluster or the levin one? the reading depends on the fuel sender in the tank... so if the light comes on its an indication that there is around 10-13L fuel left in the tank. the light is triggered by the fuel sender. i'd go with the fuel light fill up and work out how much is in the tank.
  14. hey dude, welcome :D
  15. everything.................. -_-
  16. i think mlbk has a set in melbourne too... but they are H tech springs. not sure what the differences are??? edit: http://firesport.com.au/tein-htech-springs-for-sell--ad194312.htm 250!!! AND ONLY TRAVELLED 7000 KMS??? HOLY CRAPPERS! GET ON IT!!!
  17. SICK!
  18. if the main reason is lowering the lift point, your wasting your money. as said above its only worth it if you have mods to maximise the potential of the mods. big money will have to be spent though...
  19. GST = goods and services tax. we pay it on almost everything here in Australia.
  20. gtfour u have pm. yeah i always knew u had to pay GST but i was told there was something else u can do to eliminate the duty tax. i actually rang australian customs in the morning and they said that there is a duty tax paid on the cost price of the item. THEN there is GST and the GST is 10% and is comprised of 3 parts: 1) the purchase price of the item 2) the duty tax 3) the freight and insurance costs for the item. So basically u have to work out the duty tax which is 5%, then u add that on the purchase price and frieght and insurance and then from that you work out the GST 10% and add that on top. (this is where the "TAX ON TAX" comes in) So in the end you pay GST ON THE DUTY TAX grrr.... i worked out roughly 1.1k in taxes on top of the gearbox and still yet labour costs to install the thing on my car -_- anyways, customs said that if the gear box is manufactured in the usa, the seller must provide a certificate to proove that the gearbox is manufactured in usa so that the duty tax can be eliminated. i asked if the box is "rebuilt" in usa would that be good enough. she said "no" as the box was orginally from overseas (japan) and the LSD coming from japan also... i checked the FTA and currently still in negotiations with japan on the FTA... sucks ballz -_-
  21. the guy in the hoodie looks just as scary as the car... reminds me of prototype

One question regarding the AUSFTA... are car parts included in the FTA? i'm looking to limit the tax i pay on these parts as much as possible... looked on this site here but i couldnt find anything related to automobile parts? thanks
