  1. ONLY????? WTF????? something wrong with ur head LOL. i havent dynoed mine yet... ffs insurance company was meant to ring me back today to update but didn't... <_< lol well i know some owners have hit over 120 with out pfc and higher kms lol so just thought with power fc plus ces mods the average was like 125 plus , i must admit though even 120kw atw from a 1.8 n/a is just ludicrous. need to take her down the quater mile once i get some grippy tires ku31s dont seem to be doing the justice any more :(. true mate let me know how you go with the run if you do it looking forward to it. cheers dave
  2. hehe mate ill make sure your the first one to get it when i sell it :). sadly she only put out 120.7kw ill post up dyno graph. that was with the vsv valve not working , tire preasure at 33 psi and a hole in the inside of my resinator. so maybe with those fixed it will hit 125 atleast hopefully ? would love to fix the vsv valve issue if any one has ecu pinout for corolla stivo let me know. :D. I had a look in the 14,000 page manual but im assuming the one i found (corolla ewd supplement 626e page 143) wasnt right...

the gear box oil thats running in there currently is castrol syntrax 75w 90 with nulon g70 additive, is comming up to 40,000km of use. i can hear the gear box a tad again so could be oil. From my understanding lft-oof its the secound gear syncro that is causing the issue , quite an expensive job to fix as the gear box has to be pulled apart.

  7. ive decided im going to run it on a pionner gmf-6300 as i have one lying around to i may as well use it. ive finnally decided what i am getting , Is any one willing to install this inbrisbane? Whats involved? creating speaker mounts out of mdf. installing 6.5 inch rear speakers installing 6.5 inch splits in front installing pionner double din headunit (possibly installing a 4 channel amp as well. located in north brisbane If you are interested please personal message me. Regards David
  8. true cheers for info do you know the model of your head unit ? cheers dave
  9. 100watt rms or 100watt peak ? i thought any thing over 50 watt rms requires an amp (one of my other reasons for not looking at getting the alpine r's)
  10. Hey guys After people continualy asking why i dont have an aux port in my car i have decided to do a bit of ice. was just wondering if i could have some advice on the matter as its not realy my area (only realy interested in the mechanics of cars). What i am looking at buying: head unit : pionner AVH-p3350bt Front speakers: alpine SPS-600C (6.5 inch split) rear speakers : alpine sps-500 (5.25 inch) I did orginaly want to get 6.5 inch speakers in the rear but i am not sure if they would fit and how much modifying would be involved. Was also looking at setting up type r's instead of type s's but not sure if i would notice the difference. The music i listen to is mainly u2 and nine inch nails if that helps. If any one can offer advice on a head unit you believe is better for the price then please let me know. Also if any one can offer any advice on better suited speakers , would be much aprechiated. Sorry for being very vague like i said not an area i have delt with that much. p.s any one interested in installing this stuff located in brisbane pm me and we can discuss $ ( or any one that can make rear mounting plates for the corolla sportivo, i remember seeing some one on the forums making mdf mounts from memory) Cheers Dave
  11. any one want to install some ice in my zze corolla brisbane (obviously you will get paid for your hard work)

  12. :( o well mate ended up finding some one who can supply me with some front shocks so its all sweet. Cheers Dave
  13. Looking for some zze123 front struts , need them for the top mounts so i can install the mount on koni shocks, As long as the mounts are ok i am happy , condition of the rest of product is not an issue, e.g not worried about leaking shocks. Regards Dave
  14. Zip ties all the way for mounting ;P , jokes I run a deka ETX18L battery in my sportivo , probably been in there for about 1 year and it hasn’t caused any issues at all i run a relatively small 400watt rms mono block with no trouble as well. Mine is a slightly larger cca and capacity ( 320 cca instead of 275 and 20 amp hours instead of 19) but i don’t think that should cause to much of an issue. As for installation i just had to change one of the leads to have the ability to screw into the battery instead of the standard clamp method used. i got this done at battery world for free i think. As for mounting, i still havent found a proper mount or been bothered to look into it realy so i just zip tied it to the car haha. Great battery though starts the car with ease. Dave
  15. not sure if the exact one from the compressor or if it is still for sale but i remember xoom was selling one and according to his thread its still for sale. below is the link. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php/topic/29133-syd-xooms-parts-garage-sale-clearance/page__p__410061__hl__spoiler__fromsearch__1#entry410061 cheers Dave
  16. cheers for the info mate, i have dealt with silvabullit before with suspension parts very easy to deal with and gets parts to your door fast. I am reffering to the koni fsd shocks, some people call them koni gold. Cheers Dave
  17. To be honnest i dont think i have hub rings ... dont remember noticing any hub rings when i took off one of the alloys.. Ill have to give it a look over easter when i get a chance to look at car. having hub rings out of place ususaly cause a vibration at any speed over 80 i have heard, mine is literly only just at 81 or 82km. Thanks Dave After looking at it closely i noticed that i have damaged one of my rims from queenslands wonderful pot holes, i got the car checked up at pedders for other faults and sadly my shocks are gone , Looking at getting fsd shocks but i heard alot of people not recomending them for cars with lowered springs , Does any one have any thoughts on this ? Cheers for every ones help Dave
  18. Where and When and How On Nebo at around 1:15 pulled over and had a chat to the guy , I couldn’t believe my eyes I didn’t know they existed in Australia. He’s an importer so I guess he gets all the good deals.. He said he might be selling it to :o Trying to find specs about the engine ect but its pretty much imposible lol. p.s it could have been a n2 cant remember if he said n1 or n2 (i just remember him talking about 8 injectors and valve lift 200hp)
  19. I know this is a Toyota forum but this car disserves recognition on any forum... Spotted genuine Nissan pulsar n15 VZ-R N1 (1.6L 200 hp non turbo.) There’s only like 200 in the world with 3 of them being in Australia i heard: S.
  20. Hey Daniboy did you manage to find out if it works with our speedo gears with out any modification? or do our spedos run off the abs ? slightly confused lol.. Regards dave Edit: Has any one tried one of these guys yet , im very tempted but every single forum site is saying the build quality is poor and they need to be rebuilt, i wonder if the lsd would be strong enough with our engines in n/a condition. Has any one done a obx lsd rebuild by any chance ? Regards

  22. Hi Guys Once again i am posting a issue i am having with my stivo :(. I am getting a vibration between 80 to 85km. i have had the car wheel balanced twice and wheels aligned but vibration continues The vibration is through the whole car (enough to noticeably vibrate my sun visor), no vibration is coming through the steering wheel so I believe it’s something to do with the rear wheels. On my rear left wheel i have a wheel nut that is smaller than the others causing it to weigh less then the other 3 wheel nuts. Could this be the cause? (the guy at Bridgestone tires said it would make no difference as the nuts are evenly spaced ?:S I am running king springs lows on front and super lows on back with standard shocks if that helps. Regards Dave
  23. Dont put 91 in the sportivo , only 95 or 98 , has the engine been making pinging noises. could be the timing being retarded. Regards Dave
  24. Totally agree with white stivo, people are hunting them down. I bought a second hand ces exhaust and am happy with its performance (considering the engine is already doing over 100hp per litre). Its not much performance for your money but if you wanted high gains for cheap and use it as a daily then you bought the wrong car. Ces exhaust is also not ridiculously loud either which makes it great for 60 to 80km cruising. It also provides power increase through almost the entire rev range. From my understanding most exhausts don’t do that unless its for a forced induction engine. If i was buying brand new i would get the stainless steel option over mild steel, Mild steel doesn’t last and wont hold its value as well compared to stainless steel when it comes to selling it on second hand. I wouldn’t bother with the cat either. Regards Dave P.S dont underestimate the effect light weight wheels can have. The sportivo wheels weigh almost 10kg and there a tiny 16x6 rim i went to a 17x7 which is 6.5kg and the handling/performance improvement was very noticeable. If you wanted ultimate performance you could go 15x6.5 / 7inch in enkei rpf1 i think there about 4.5kg from memory.. 5.5kg might not sound like much but in terms of wheel weight its massive !
