  1. The only difference between the new and old rings was they were welded together as a one piece. Had this recall too, fixed it for 3 months and started to spin again.
  2. Yeah I too had the recall, was a quick fix but they still start to rotate after a while. Just any double sided tape . If fits to thin, just fold it over a few times to thicken it up just enough to wedge it in. Don't use sikaflex as a seat. When taking the caps off again you will get fractures in the centre cap.
  3. Mine were loose from the showroom floor. New ones will have the same issue. Found using a small piece of double sided tape works a treat and holds them in alignment with the wheel. Just a small bit on the side and when you push the cap on, it won't rotate. Can't see it either. :)
  4. Nice ride. Good choice going back to the original bonnet. CF just didn't look right:)
  5. Salesman is talking a load of BS. 19's will be fine.
  6. Love the interior, but that front grill....hhmmmm maybe it'll grow on me!
  7. see attached link, what are peoples thoughts. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/greenwith/cars/toyota-aurion-sportivo-zr6/1005342786
  8. Guys, anyone who can help with photshop, please feel free. Have been tossing this idea around for some time now but i am looking at painting my TRD rims black, same colour as the car. If anyone can assist with a side on shot of a black 3500Sl with the rims painted black ( Toyo badge still in chrome on cap ), please do. Can always go back to the original colour at a later date, just repaint, but i like the idea of black on black.....car is currently lowered also on Kings SSL. Cheers Brad
  9. What a week. Took all the new RDA slotteds off and sprayed the hubs as they rusted in the first week of being on. Next time I will just get the anodized dimpled rotors. Then tyre rotation. Clay bar and finally wax. I'm stuffed.
  10. WTF? That car on gum tree shows just what not to do!
  11. Thanks Daryl........question answered. OUt of interest, i have heard some horror stories about how much these belts cost to replace. Care to share what is a good price for one of these............i take it there would be a large cost involved with labour also when fitting a new belt at Toyota.
  12. I remove the wheels quite often and yes the side skirts do flex. Definate design issue but the skirts should not break if care is taken. Also as for the hubcap recall. Had mine done as soon as the recall came out with the mods and the tool, and to my surprise, they have just started to do as they did before........rotate and not line up with the wheel. They do not fall off but do move around....solution, i stick a little bit of double sided tape on the inner edge, works a treat. Be interested to know more about the supercharger belt as i would be under the impression there would only be one available for the TRD as this setup with this supercharger is only used on this car. So the question is, Why would there be another belt with a different profile? I would be asking the question of the dealer as to how they came up with this conclusion, or did they just replace it with another belt of the same specs.
