  1. Well done mate! You should at least have taken that guy for a ride in your stivo to wake him up from his day dream
  2. There is no pin set up from the factory. Once the pin is set the red key like LED will start to flash. So its important to set it after you buy the car otherwise if someone steals it should be able to use it.
  3. I agree with you David. Anyway Toyota should recall our cars to get them fixed .
  4. I was told by the sales person I bought my car that you can put sportivo springs in the car and it makes the car lower by 30 mm. I'm not sure he was BSing me or not anyway he is from Cannon toyota in Heidelberg and knew what he was talking about
  5. Check this one out, it has prices too http://www.pacifictoyota.com.au/p_acc_coro...122_current.htm
  6. I'm from VIC metro Eastern suburbs Donvale Black stivo
  7. Two thumbs up to all the stivo owners who put their thoughts forward. In my opinion This topic shouldn’t even be discusses as stivo is far better car than a clio sport regardless of the price, stivo owners you know what I mean ;). And also there is big difference just driving a stivo on a test drive and owning one :D
  8. mmm that’s disappointing. I think they have removed it from the site which is not a good sign Is it the end of our beloved sportivo line up
  9. Awesome maaaan great stuff!!! especially the wheels are very sexy and lowering goes very well with it. Do you feel much different after the lowering in terms of comfort and drivability? Does it give you headaches when you try to park the car closer to humps?
  10. Cheers Paul I'll talk to him next time when I want something from TRD
  11. Yes peekay I do have a TRD quick shifter (which cost me nearly 600 that’s another story) and as you say I'm also lucky enough not to have any problems with my gearbox even before I had the shifter so no complaints and I'm lov'in it too. Also peekay no hard feelings buddy we all are here because we love our stivos and with all good intentions :D
  12. This topic is not about how good the short shifter is it’s about whether it'll solve the problem or not. No one disagrees that the short shifter is making the shift pressie but simply wouldn't solve the problem. And peekay don't take things personally mate but people can predict things analysing the facts rather than actually having to experience them. Also what makes you think you're the only one having a short shifter here?
  13. Theoretically quick shifter should need more force to shift, maybe when things are working in perfect order it’s not noticeable. Definitely it will be harder when the things are not normal. If it is not the case all the theories of physics have to be wrong :D So the answer to the question would it solve the shifting problem? I doubt it will.
  14. Legally as long as you service the car using a professional according to the log book and your book is stamped they cannot void the warranty. Practically I'm taking my car to the dealer even with the extra money they charge because my dealer is doing a very good job and they were very helpful when it comes to resolving any issues that I have.
  15. Pedals come in a four piece set. Installation of brake and clutch once are straight forward just remove the existing once and replace them (new once are also rubber based with aluminium plates on top) Accelerator and the foot rest is bit tricky you have to remove the accelerator pedal then need a centre punch to remove the pin from the pedal but with some patience and tools can be able to do it. Also the foot rest you have to remove the current one by pulling it (make sure you don’t break the locks if you want to use it in the future) then you can use either the current plastic base or the one that comes with the set to install the aluminium plate. For that you'll need some kind of a drilling tool. Pedal set cost me about 180 somewhere in Sep 03 and they asked for 60 bucks or something just to install them so I did it my self and took about an hour being extra careful and without proper tools. Hope this helps
  16. We should only compare apples with apples of course there are so many better cars than the stivo but is there anything better in that price range? and is any other car is practical than our stivos I mean luxury, space, durability blah blah... and last not least that little bit extra power when you need it. If I can go closer to 40k I would seriously consider WRX instead of GTi 180 (it’s a matter of raising your bar). Well that's my tc worth and ultimately the decision is up to you.
  17. Mine is the same as the others. If yours is not leather I recon it's doggy mate, go and hassle the dealer.
  18. Good work guys. Makes me proud to be a stivo owner
  19. I've done Melbourne to Adelaide with just 3 brief stops. Apart from the bit sore right leg due to keeping it on the accelerator for long time (cruise control should have helped :D) rest was fine.

I'm wondering from where you’re getting the facts mate without having a car at your expense :o. Anyway I wouldn’t say Turanzas are the best tyres in the world but it is one of the better once
  22. Seriously crappy looking car no matter what mods are done :D no offence though colour doesn’t do any good either Just kidding :P vey nice
  23. Best I got was 720 and 100 km of it was city driving. When I fill her up still there were 5l left on the tank.
