  1. Sorry attached my reply to the wrong post.Check this topic for my full reply
  2. I found my wheels and tyres on the tempe tyres web site and had them freighted over to Perth. I know a lot of people on these forums bag the hell out of these guys but I've had no problems with my wheels or tyres to date touch wood. The prices are very reasonable especially if you buy a tyre and wheel package. When they arrived I just had the guys from Ian Diffen fit them on and it wasn't a great expense to swap them around. Just be careful however and check what difference it will make to your insurance premium. Some insurance companies won't cover you at all with such modifications and you could find yourself having to change insurance companies like I had to.If you get frustrated checking on insurance quotes send me a message on my members profile. I spent two days on the net and on phones trying to get the best deal and in the end I did.

  4. Wheels are always a good start. Check out my pics in this forum but be careful and check what the extra on your insurance premium will be before you make any changes. Modifications can sometimes void your insurance and you may need to change providers.Always get a quote before you go ahead.
  5. Have a reversing camera which is much better. You can see what you're going to hit.
  6. Eureka ! You're a bl##dy champion. Over 350 contacts I was able to transfer from my mobile and my wifes mobile as well. I was also able to split the contact numbers into two groups mine and my wifes. You wouldn't beleive how much time you have saved me. Toyota couldn't solve the problem and Nokia didn't want to know about it either. Once again many thanks I knew this car was worth every cent we spent on it.
  7. Too soon to tell have only had the new tyres on for a few weeks. Will probably be able to tell you after we've done a few more km's but from the way the car drives and the minimal roll you get when cornering I'd say the front tyres should wear quite well.
  8. Just put on some new 22 inch wheels on our new Kluger
  9. Blackkluger I have finally got around to taking some photos of our pride and joy with the new wheels and tyres. The tyres are Kumhos 265/40R/22 and don't compromise the driving performance of the car at all. If anything the driving and cornering is better than when the original bridgestones were on it.The car tends to hug the corners much better probably because of less distortion of the tyre when cornering.Hope you like them.
  10. Hi CroToy Ryanocer here I would like to know if you had any issues with the wheel nuts on your 22inch wheels. Considering that you put on non standard wheels.
  11. Hi I'm Ryanocer. Did you not read my thread on bridgestone tyres for sale posted a few weeks ago. I have a set of new bridgestones that haven't even done 800 kms I just took them off my brand new Kluger recently. I'm sure if you contact me I can help you with a decent price I'm just trying to get some money for them. The only problem I've got is that I'm in W.A. Look for my thread that I posted.
  12. Check your mobile phone instructions there is a sync switch section in your menu that is were you transfer data from your phone but if it's anything like my nokia the two devices won't pair. I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Check the reply on that thread.
  13. I'm not saying they are "unsafe", just that is is less than ideal. Unfortunately, the only way to get more engagement is to install longer wheel studs. If you are concerned, then do as the RAC advised, write to the supplier of the wheels and have them state in writing their view on the matter. Make sure your wheels are listed on your insurance policy and make sure you keep a copy of the reply from the supplier with it. Good idea rob323 i'll do that, that way I should still be covered if anything goes wrong
  14. Thanks for the reply rob323. Are you saying that therefore the wheels are not really safe because there is not enough wheel nut engaging on to the wheel studs and if so how would I be able to correct it
  15. Apparently I do they are the wheel nuts supplied by the manufacturers of the wheels
  16. I have recently changed my wheels/tyres on my Kluger to a set of larger rims and tyres. From 245/55R/19 to 265/40R/22. They look fantastic on the new Grande but I am a bit concerned about what the guys at Ian Diffen were telling me about fitting them. The full story being that I purchased the wheels/tyres on the net and was assured that the wheels were suited to the Kluger.I had been told that the company I had purchased them from was a very reputable one. Anyway the Ian Diffen guys were concerned about how many turns it took to tighten the wheel nuts on the new wheels/tyres and told me I could be comprimising the saftey of the car. On obtaining a second opinion from the RAC ( west australian version of the NRMA )I was told that my new wheel nuts had a 5.5 number of turns to fully tighten and the old wheel nuts on the original wheels/tyres had 8 full turns to tighten. They told me that this should not really be a problem but just to make sure to have the wheel /tyre company I purchased them from put something in writing stating that the wheels are actually safe. I tried to find any information about wheel nuts and, number of turns to tighten ,on the wheel tyre bible but couldn't find a thing about it. Could someone please direct me to any information about this or possibly answer this question as I'm now concerned about driving around in our new car. A worried driver Ryanocer
  17. WHOFAN IN KEEPING WITH THE THREAD AS I POSTED A FEW DAYS AGO THE FACT THAT THE BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY BETWEEN MY KLUGER AND MY NOKIA MOBILE DON'T MATCH ( IE CAN'T TRANSFER DATA BETWEEN THE TWO ) I'M STILL WAITING TO SEE WHAT NOKIA ARE COMING BACK TO ME WITH.
  18. Hey whofan If you want to pay around 148k for an X5 to get all the memory seats and extras you could but believe me it still wouldn't be as smooth a ride as the new Kluger or as quiet. On recently test driving various SUVs for the price the Kluger faired very well and the X5s sound system couldn't go loud enough to drown out the engine noise. Now I know why there were so many second hand X5s on the market when I was looking. Now if you put the BMs styling together with Klugers handling and quietness threw in the memory seats you'd have a kick **** car
  19. Same thing happened to us on Friday just gone. Picked up our brand new Grande model and the dealer had only put in $30.00 worth of fuel on the sales docket. The condition we made with the sales guy when we were buying it was that it came with a full tank so we made him follow us down to the nearest petrol station and he filled the tank with premium. You've got to watch these sales guys they will tell you anything to get a sale.
  20. Would any one know how to get around the problem associated with transfering data from your mobile phone to the handsfree phone system in a grande model. I don't really want to sit there and type in all my contact numbers individually. Both systems seem to have the data transfering capabilities but my Nokia 6210 does not recognise the Toyota handsfree device and yet the bluetooth connection works. I can make calls and receive calls no problem. You would think that if the bluetooth connection works then the two devices would recognise each other. Can anyone help?
  21. Hello to all members. The whole family is so excited our brand new Kluger Grande just arrived home on Friday and we can't stay out of it. This car is such a gem to drive you just want to find any excuse to go out on the road. Definitely worth waiting the nine weeks it took to arrive. Just the smoothest drive and beats the pants off the Honda Accord Euro we use to have. A very happy Toyota driver. P.S. Read my profile that'll scare ya!
  22. Hi where did you find the pics for the highlander from and is the graphite coloured highlander the brand new model that is due out here in Australia later this year. The front end looks a bit different to our Kluger model love the lights and the black grille
  23. I would also appreciate some photos . I'm having a hard time trying to pick some 22 inch chromies for our new Kluger coming in two weeks. Having sidesteps and a nudge bar fitted and chromies would just finish it of. Any website suggestions would be great.
  24. They're not for the Kluger they are for a VW Tiguan
