  1. i dont actually drill all the way through do i?

i mean after taking out the plastic panels theres another metal panel which makes it seems to be in the way.. do i drill through that too?

can anyone take pics of the spoiler connectionz from inside the car door with the plastic panels off?

if i know what its supposed to look like when its fully installed then i would be more confident.

  2. Its been agez since i bought my spoiler and still trying to understand the installation instructions correctly.

the instructions i got from toyota are pretty bad photocopyz and the diagrams are hard to make any sense of and the template i got for it makes me nervous, as if i could easily drill the holes off centre coz i didnt lay the template perfectly.

ive only gotten as far as removing all the inside plastic panels around the rear window to take a sneak peek at what im up against and got the right size drill bitz to do the install, but havent got the gonadz to penetrate my rollaz backdoor.

i just wanna make sure i dont do the wrong thing!

has anyone got any experience in this area?

paying someone to get it done is not an option here.

thanx 4 your help in advance.

  3. think it was kung fu kids...

    there were three of em...

one of em was fat? and i still have this memory of the fat 1 crying, standing in the middle of this shallow river thinking he was drowning while the other 2 are trying to convince him to walk to the shore? kinda like ricky bobby from taladega nights thinking he was on fire.

i think there was like 3 of those movies.. the last 1 was where the kids were kinda almost at that stage where they werent so cute no more?! used to borrow the vhs all the time along with back to the futurez 1,2 aND3.. but mostly 2 coz i wanted a floating skateboard.

but yea whatever it was.. check WWW.YESASIA.COM

whatever is your fetish in asian movies... should be there :)

service isnt bad either. just round a week or less for my stuff to get delivered from (i think) hong kong to my po box.

korean, jap, chinese... new or even the most obscure movies you thought youd never see again.. its there!

some movies i highly recommend :

    korean love storiez -

    ***my sassy girl

    ***the classic

    ***windstruck.

they are all different individual strories... but watch my sassy girl coz that is THE BEST DAMN LOVE STORY EVER.

BETTER THAN ANYTHING THE USA CAN COME UP WITH AND IM GLAD THE AMERICANS STILL HAVENT RAPED IT AND REMADE IT LIKE THE RINGU AND JU-ON FILMZ.

japanese ringu trilogy was amazing. the american filmz were OK (the sequal was better than the first)... but wouldnt ever beat the original.

Also bought ju-on (grudge) films from yesasia... they made 2 many of them grudge filmz.

other japanese filmz such as BATTLE ROYAL and BATTLE ROYAL II. part 1 is KILLER! MUST WATCH!

if you have no idea or expectations from this movie before you watch it... then you will be blown away!

part 2 went too damn political... went all "osama bin laden" on it; was strange - guess its a cultural thing that only the japs can really make sense of)

other films ive bought from them - erotic ghost story, in the realm of the senses, hong kong hollywood, ong bak and ummm.. far out whats the other one... one armed boxer vs flying guillotine? something like that... was an OLD kung fu movie... some of the actors in this movie made an appearance in KUNG POW... anyone watch kung pow? you could get it from coles for like 12.95..

cant remember the rest since im nowhere near my dvd collection right now.

also saw a nice bruce lee box set and a kill bill box set on there that i didnt see in australia.

not big on swordplay movies but they are all there as well.

you just gotta remember the title of the film or the actor in it... its REALLY hard to figure it out otherwise.

as soon as i found out bout these movies as "coming soon" to australia, it would have already been on yesasia for a while.. but besides watching em before your matez is, buying from them usually saves me at least 5 buckz compared to buying em in hmv or sanity or big w if they got the moviez.

  4. Hi

is there many aftermarket body kits i can get for my sportivo?

does any one know of any sites

    cheers blackrz

try clicking the SEARCH button on the top of the page there.. it works!

please check there first before starting a new thread.

youll find a whole bunch of threads where weve already discussed bodykits and websites you can check out.

  5. the amp and sub are the only things i added to my stereo.

    everything else is stock.

i messed around with the settings a few times already..

i was thinking it may be what you were talking about - if you put the volume too high then it sorta cuts out. but i dont always have my sub on heaps loud since usually i got my babyboy in the backseat, i keep the settings low most of the time.

yea if its the amp itself thats the problem.. then what?????

i bought it from cash converters and it was practically new - still in the box, some screws to fix it in place were missing but everything else was new.

  6. is the prado leaf or coil spring?

whatever you do - get rancho adjustable shocks!

theres like 5 or 9 different settings from soft - hard (depending on which kit you get, if memory servez me correctly) and you can adjust fronts and rears separately.

that way you can still get a somewhat stockish ride quality with the added height when you are driving round town... and adjust em to hard when you take it offroad.

shocks, springs + installation wont be cheap... 1500+ for the shockz? not sure. but yea quality countz and you get what you pay 4.

unless you got a mate who can do it for a case of beerz like i do :))

i had a 1985 toyota lancru23r bundera and lifted it (cant remember the height.. think 2inches?) by just replacing the stock springs with nissan patrol springs.

ride quality is hard though if your sitting in the backseats, which is directly above the rear wheelz.

that mod was a total freebee though.. me mate had a spare set laying round.

  7. my kicker amp has gone tempremental...

sometimes it decides to work, other times, when i turn the ignition, i see the green light on the amp turn red, then it turns off completely.

on the odd occasion that it does work, its completely normal, sound quality of my kicker solobaric is great and sounds as if absolutely NOTHING is wrong otherwise.

just a few days b4 i left australia, its pretty much always not working.

all the fuses on the amp and in the red positive cable from the battery are FINE. ive always checked them and neither of them have busted.

so im putting it down to the wiring kit - i ripped the kit off my old landcru23r and transplanted it into my corolla.

that was back in august -september...

ok - so if you were able to pinpoint the problem, which wire would you suspect?

i originally thought it was the "remote" wire. i already went to JB hifi in november and replaced the old wire with a new one. (i also did that when i had the same problem in my cru23r and that did fix the problem at the time)

since that did fix the problem for a while... the problem has since returned and has gotten worse.

so what you you peoplez think?!

replace the red wire? or the brown wire?

    positive or earth?

or do i replace the whole wiring kit with a new one?

getting just 1 new length of wire from JB would be a whole lot cheaper. $4-5 per metre if memory serves correctly??

on the other hand i did see some kicker wiring kits that look pretty good. maybe i should just keep it all kicker?

i would only really consider getting the kicker wiring kit if i had another amp for component speakers (might soon be getting punch components from US soon if my brother doesnt mess up the order hehe)

so yea for now (or when i get back to australia) i just want the cheapest option.

but yea just wanna know if anyone else has experienced any issues with their amps

(DIY'erz im looking your direction 4 guidance).

    thanks.

  8. I love the kicker Ive owned it for like 5 years and I cant kill it. It sounds like I have atleast 2 ported 12inch subs into boot, but I only have 1 solbaric in a tiny sealed box, and have boot space to spare. Only downside is that weighs as much as 2 normal 12 inch subs (big mofo of a magnet).

yea i was suprised how heavy my lil kicker weighed as well.

i built my custom fibreglass box without really considering weight distribution.... seems im going to have to bolt it down somehow to keep it from tipping over when i make a hard right.

its strange- you can order the aluminium grille for the 8inch solobaric in australia but you cant buy the actual sub?!?

  9. HEY GUYS -

so far i havent had much luck finding decent parts for the rolla yet...

i DID come across the silver door handle covers... but they were for the toyota "innova", kinda a 4wd/van looking thing... but dont think it has the 4WD. anyway i would have bought that since it woulda been like $12 bucks except you can only open the front drivers side door with a key... on the innova you can open both front doors with a key.

this would be a problem coz if i was to put the silver doorhandles on the front passenger side... it just wont look right!

i would have asked the shop to order them in but that bloody shoppingmall is 2-3 something hours away from where im at now... and i aint gonna take another trip down there! got carsick with the suspension and the bad roads and the windy mountaINZ and the lack of a speedlimit and the endless near miss collisions weve had with kids, motorcyclez, trucks, dogs, cocks (chickens), other crazy driverz... and the frikken honking! i hate the cars carhorn its full agressive!!! did i mention its frikken hot up here?!!?! and the aircon isnt doing its job 50% of the time and when it is its not even that cold...

4 those that know the philippinez im in mindanao right now... currently residing in butuan city but took a road trip yesterday to cagayan de oro... checked out a mall there but 4got the name.. started with a T...?!

anyhoo in Butuan im sure theres a few places where i can get custom altis leather seat covers.

as4 the weathersheilds... the nongenuine brands seem to cost as much as it does down in sydney so i might just get them in sydney.

  10. yes of course i wash my hands - but its more likely to be your germs thats left on the tap handle when its my turn to wash up!

further more for those who sometimes DONT wash after they go 2 the dunny... eww people!

on a side note... this thing has been bugging me ever since i was like 7...

how the hell do you manage to properly wipe your ***** with only 4 squares of toilet paper?!??

the little fat kid from hey dad did it in the sorbent commercial... anyone remember that commercial??!

scrunching that much paper will surely leave you with brown fingers so he must have been folding?!?!

thats another thing i wanna ask - how many squares is sufficient for you??

  11. Idont understand why you gotta be nice and neat when it comes to folding your paperz n wiping your A5s... UGH!

on mythbusters they compared the residual bacteria left on your hand through folding VS scrunching with different amounts of paper each time.

EVERY test resulted in SCRUNCHING to have lesser germz and stuff compaered to folding.

they put it down to the distance between the hand and the anus hahahaha!

so sucked in folders you think your clean but your not!

    SCRUNCH FTW!

its just like folding, but with extended surface area so that scrunching provides better grip and control, PLUS a bufferzone to prevent fingers penetrating the paper...
