Here is the pinout for the stock head units in the Corollas
Is that pinout for Corollas ONLY? Or does it cover the whole Toyota range with the years specified?
-
No the camry doesnt have a double din by default, however it does have a empty pocket below it (looks a bit like the pocket that all the current corolla guys use when they install after market single din decks).
So i was thinking if the pocket comes out then there may be enough space.
As for the looms, i wasnt provided with the looms at all, I just got the deck mailed to me (im assuming 76ACC needed them for his own deck).
When i took out my stock CD player the looms were already there, and the plugged straight into the MP3 deck.
So happy i finally got a MP3 6cd deck YAY!!! :D
I'll check out those wiring diagrams, but where do i get the header from? I dont think im good enough to solder directly to the plugs.
Im in Sydney btw.

Took out my existing stock CD deck (from my 2003 Corolla Conquest) yesterday and replaced it with the stock 6CD stacker MP3 deck (thanks 76ACC for the deck!), and i was wondering if my old deck could fit into my friends 1988-1991 Camry without any hacking of the console, and do the plug at the back plug straight in?
In the camry he's currently got a TAPE (yes TAPE) cassette player, and the tape player is broken so only the radio works atm.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks guys!

hmmmmz, my battery is still going strong after 2.5 years.
Maybe its a problem with a particular batch?
What surprised me about the battery is that my mums Hyundai was given a dry cell battery, whereas I had the wet cell one.

haha go Canberra!!!! (finch is a canberra boy)
but yes, very happy to see NSW scrape over the line, after the first half the game should have been over.
but thats just not origin style ...
its always going to be a battle to the last seconds ....
thats what makes origin special ...
No what makes origin special is the punch ups.... you cant have an origin game without it!

Looks like a volkswagen......
I reckon the current shape rollas look the nicest.
-
rather spooky i say, now if that was chicks in bikinis instead that would be a different story :P
-
nah i didnt stick around... we finished it in about 20 mins, so we had 40 mins to wait till she came back to her car and we couldnt be bothered sticking around uni...
it would have been gold though!
apparently she gets free drinks and free entry to the club for handing these out (we asked her last week)... such a hoe.
ask her if you get free drinks and free entry to club for handing them out too?
You did technically hand them out..... just that you chose one car to target :P
-
Go NSW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
fcking champion! LOL
Love your work!
Did you stick around long enough to see her reaction?
And her car looks like crap, theres a huge bird poo on the rear windscreen, and it looks like its been in a few accidents....

Recent sale prices on these forums indicate $100 for 6CD Mp3 deck. I paid a little more for mine ($125)
Someone was trying to buy the mp3 6cd stacker on these forums and trying to offload it on ebay for $400..... rather dodgy i reckon.
Seeing its a friend i think $100 is reasonable, if its a good friend then FREE.

For those near Campsie, theres $5 pho at the Campsie pub on the corner of Hill St and Beamish St.
Taste pretty damn good too, better than the pho i tasted at Flemington, and nearly as good as Pho pasteur @ Bankstown. :D

insurance... right.. hmm
but... do u guys think.. it will cost around $1500??
he was doin like.. 5-10km/h only...
damn..
id hate to call him..... i bet hes gonna complain a lot.. coz... now visible damage on his car...
damn rollas r fragile....
yea, its not right to upset the guy.... i mean he did hit your car and all, but still dont upset him and accept the $500 to get it fixed cheaply.....
The only person whos gonna regret it later is YOU!!!
Assuming you got insurance, go get the job fixed properly!!!
Im gonna recommend DSports @ Moorebank again :P and see what he quotes you.
If he's cheaper, see if he's prepared to claim a bit more so you can get a new kit :D

>back to find out who was calling. If the number is called a recorded
>message tells the caller that they have won a prize and/or they are
>directed to phone a 1902 number which has a call rate of around $3 per
>minute.
how does that work? If its being directed to 1902 number arent they being charged seeing we're only calling a normal land line?
eg if i divert my home phone to my mobile, my home phone is charged the diversion not the person calling.

A sportivo option for the sedan =)
Maybe a liftback design as well as a hatch back design.
eg Make the current sedan into a liftback instead (kinda how Mazda6 sedans and hatches look similar in shape).
Come default with bigger wheels and use common profiles as opposed to crappy 195/55/R16 where you get charged heaps for cos its uncommon.
Have sub's as standard.
-
they would be well oversize and possibly scrub
205/50r16 is the best option in terms of size vs price vs availability of brands
I thought 205/55/R16s were cheaper than 205/50/R16s?
I was quoted cheaper on the 205/55 :o
Do 205/55/R16's scrub at all?
-
hey,if you are using stock rims ( 16in),i highly recommand the federal super steel 595 on 205/50/16 87W
i just have them on 2 weeks ago, have done about 500kms,it cost me $ 130ea,i had toyo T1R which cost me
$218ea,the federal is as good as the toyo in the dry, have a stiffer tyre wall than the toyo, i first though
federal is taiwan brand is a bit weird but they are much better than i though.i have no idea about its tyre
wear, but if you want something that last 40000kms , you cant get grippy tyres
You say they are as good as Toyo in the dry.... what about the wet?

319.00 Toyota rear skirt - Hurstville Toyota
397.10 Toyota side skirts - Hurstville Toyota
454.00 Toyota front skirt - Castle Hill Toyota
500.00 Installation cost & paint
1,670.10
Forgot to thank nek for recommending Dsports @ Moorebank.
Dave there did it all for $500 paint and installation. I was quoted $1500 & $900 at other places.
Cheers
Your car looks awesome!
Dave mentioned to me that he kitted up a corolla when i saw him last week (had to take a friend there to get his Skyline fixed), I was wondering who it was, now i know :)
So whats the next mod Gazoom? :D
-
ummm what a the repercussions of NOT cleaning your engine bay.... thats one area ive never cleaned... EVER (cars about 2.5 years old now)
Im assuming the mechanics at Toyota cleaned it or something during the services... or is that wishful thinking?
-
Isnt that the reason they give you the little metal tag on the keys? So that they can create a replacement quickly based on the serial number?
-
he has 215/40 r17 so I'm assuming they wouldn't scrub ;)
ohhh
215/40..... i thought it was 215/45
I need new glasses :P
-
