hmmmz, makes sense... sorta
But why is it an on and off thing?
Wouldnt it just grind each time i brake?
-
Hey mate, my car's breaks were recently remachined and the break pads were changed. I experienced the same problems with the grinding sound. I took my car back to the service centre and they changed the break pads. No more grinding now :D
Maybe it's the new break pads for u too??
Nah, it wouldnt be.
I didnt machine my brakes.
I just got the brake pads changed, nothing else. I was watching the guy when he did it.

I recently changed my brakes pads to EBC Green stuff (<1 month ago), and initially everything worked fine. Car stopped really well. (Brakes rotors/calipers have never been changed)
However its now starting to make grinding sounds when i brake. Problem is that its not doing it all the time, rather every so often. The car still stops like normal, but the grinding sound worries me.
The only weird ive done to the car was 1 week after i changed my brakes, i noticed the wheels getting really dusty, so i cleaned the rims with some tissue and water, and I used water to rinse it. Being at night and relatively cold, when i poured the water on the rims some must have splashed onto the brakes, and i noticed steam coming out of it for about <1 minute. Now i didnt even drive / brake hard I had only drive about 3km.
Could this have contributed to what im experiencing... and what am i experiencing? Any ideas what causes the grinding sound on brakes?

Also are there any pictures of it? What colour is the bulb? I dont want yellow, i want white (normal white that is).
Also rolla02, is it a slab of coopers per install? :P
Put me down for a tentative "in"
Since im in Sydney ill just do pick up. :D

hahahahahaha thats the funniest thing .... they should have aired it @ 7pm for all 2 c ....
.... i mean she went over there ... she called it before they even did it n knew wat was gona happen ... she conscented and pretty much was happy doing it .... well it seemed that way unless there is footage showing her totally in awe n distraught by the incident .... so how exactly is that assult ... anyway .... BB is total waste of time ... i have my own life 2 live let alone 2 watch sum1 elses ... lol
hehe
Read the daily telegraph's transcript of it... even after I saw the actual footage, the Daily Telegraph somehow manage to create a sinister tone out of the transcript.

interested, but i need to know the cost of install (free install would be good) :D
(Would your mates be able to do it for me for free as well?)
-
who knows how to wire it and put a relay in?

i remember that game... took ages to load via floppy.
i use to build a really long straight with ramp at the end and launch the car, man that was fun!
-
ROFL!@#
Didnt think that was possible.
-
haha that's crazy. I remember Police Quest now that you mentioned it, just the name though... nothing about the game
My first computer was a 486 DX33. Cost around 3.5k at the time. Used to play Sam & Max and Day of the Tenticles for hours every day. Kings Quest was time consuming too. Those Sierra games were awesome.
Ah man the good old pre Windows days, DOS was alright. Anyone remember XTree Gold?
Kings quest ... yeah man that used 2 take hours n hours especially if u didnt know the command u wanted ....
I also remember the first versions of leisure suit larry ... lol ....
Mate Xtree gold .... man in DOS that was the bomb .... did a quick google n look what came up ...
It actually has a fan site ....
http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/xtree_gold.html
xtree for windows at the link above .....
LOL go Xtree Gold! That program was awesome!
hehe and police quest! driving in the game was hard... i kept crashing the car... especially when the had the game speed on fastest. LOL

had my 3 year service done yesterday and it's running sweet as :)
Sydney City Toyoto at Waterloo, is quite good
Chatswood Toyota, Not bad
Terry Shields Toyota at Parramatta, real bad
Plz share.. who/where else is good.
Yea those idiots at Terry Shields Toyota put bloody RAV4 spark plugs in my mates 02 rolla... and some how managed to loosen the ignition lead which was the car to shake like a washing machine every morning.
Not to mention their salesmen @ Terry Shields are a bunch of pricks too.
Ive decided to take my car to a local mechanic who changed my brake pads for me.... he did a decent job on my mums Hyundai accent.
Lets see how he goes with my car (but that wont be till sept06)
Positives for the mechanic so far.
1. They do performance engines
2. A guy who lives in Dural and drives a handbuilt Shelby Cobra brings his car their to service - the mechanic is in Campsie
3. He's got his own dyno.
4. He charged me $45 to change brake pads (i supplied them myself) Dont know if thats cheap or expensive, but it was cheaper than most places i got quoted... yea i know that its "easy" to do it yourself, but i have nfi how to change my pads and im lazy :P

should impose fines and possible disqualifications for the whole team (and have the loser go thru in their place) if players are caught faking after careful analysis by several video refs (after the game has finished to minimise disruptions).
-
do you know if they wax by hand or orbital buffer
-
any discount on group waxes??
Im too lazy to do it myself.
Will they wash, claybar, wash, polish and wax all for $79, or isit just wash and wax?
This great opening offer will be available until June 15, 2006.Its the 26th June today....

Mate i have had 8000K for 3 years now no problems at all, as long as i can see i dun give a Fu#k!!!!
damn those lights were bright! I had to flick my rear view to the anti glare mode cos your lights were shining at me while we were doing the natio run last cruise :P But they sure did a good job on lighting the road! :D

Picton Karts :D
~2 hours from Canberra, ~45mins to Wollongong, ~1 hour to Sydney
but if there is a good place in Canberra, I don't mind the drive.
i went there about a month ago for a corporate day and did the enduro race. Heaps of fun.
They had some 11hp karts that could go up to 80km or so in the shed (still building / tweaking), hopefully they are ready now...

cant you just go to your local tyre shop?
I had to get my friends wheels changed (straight swap) and the ppl at Australias best charged something like $10 to do it, sure saved us a fair amount of time.
My brakes are grinding
