  1. Nice photos Andy. Rui is probably still mucking around with photoshop...
  2. Was a great cruise. Loved the Jandakot bit, screeching tyres and slight understeer. Thanks Andy for the map. Something different from the usual north side or coastal cruise.
  3. Sounds like its going to be a good cruise. Hope it wont be hot that day.
  4. Wow Jason. Dont believe you are coming. Its like the first time i will be cruising with you in a toyota.. Seems like this cruise will be good.... So Andy is this a coastal cruise?
  5. So any updates on these John. Wonder what coilovers you ended up getting.....
  6. are you sure? i was working thursday night. i did go on leach for a short while. if it was me were my headlights too bright? lol It was like 10.30ish. Its bright but not enough to blind me, i guess tint helps keep out the glare. Spotted a White corolla with dark coloured rims on leach high way last night going towards freo way around 10pm.

  8. Spotted Chicken on Thursday night on Leach Highway. ;) Also spotted Cypher last night on Albany Highway heading towards city.
  9. Ill be busy on saturday. So wont be coming to meet up. Anyway just thought id ask a few of you local guys if you want a Magnetic Sump Plug. Only asking since i am buying my one from the US for $10USD. Since its cheap and could save on shipping cost. Well PM me if you guys are interest. I already got a few of the corolla boys interested and will be ordering them soon.
  10. Jayme on Spencer Rd traffic lights turning onto Nicholson Rd. ;)
  11. Was going to highbeam you, but i thought people may think there is a multinova down the road haha.. Saw you turn your head to look.
  12. LOL!. Yeah spotted your car too ;) nice near new air filter and p/s fluid. Nice suspension btw, if it was any lower i dont think i could put it on the hoist.
  13. Jayme on Albany highway turning at one of those traffic lights.
  14. Thats also about the same for the 4speed auto. Was hoping the manual would be much lower. Guess the gear ratios are almost equal in both manual and auto.
  15. That's still a lot of work just to remove the the gearbox. I guess if you have other things to do, removing engine is the easiest option. But otherwise if its just clutch, then remove the engine frame. Are you doing any other mods besides the heavyduty clutch? Flywheel maybe?
  16. There is a lot of work with yaris and echos. You will have to remove the subframe/engine frame. To drop the gearbox. Would recommend to get it done by a professional. Otherwise you can always attempt it yourself and you will learn alot. You will also need a wheel alignment after you reinstall the engine frame. My guess will be over $1000. Guess you can always shop around for the right price.
  17. That Mirage, looks familiar. Is it Harrys car?
  18. I wont be able to cruise it. but will come and meet up. got a family lunch to attend.
  19. Yep. Well ill be getting some pics soon. The car isnt that low and not too high. A finger space gapping on front and rear on 17s wrapped with 205/40. No front swaybar FTW =D
  20. You may as well get tiens if you are concerned about how the struts are made. Personally i am pretty happy with the BC Coilovers, only wish the front spring rates were 4-5kg and rears were 6-7kg. My Yaris isn't high powered like my Skyline so i am not worrying about these strut falling apart from pushing the car hard around corners. I haven't heard anyone having problems with these yet. A few of the guys with hondas i know have BR series and take these on to track and nothing bad so far.
  21. Why not meet on this Sunday 4th October? Assuming Curtain people have study break and can come out for a cruise. We can meet at the usual spot at Curtain. Not sure what time. Maybe 1pm. Then we can decide where to cruise. I have coastal cruise in mind since the weather is getting much better. Head up to Scarbs via Orrang Rd thru the tunnel, then coast line and come back down to Freo, then to Myaree Utopia.
  22. I drive an auto yr. Its weak and uses a lot of petrol compared to a manual. If i were to get another yaris, i would get a 1.5 with manual and those extra features are a nice touch too. Wish i had them in my yaris. As for driving on the freeway, my yaris is very noisy and very bumpy.
  23. You can fit 6.5" Speakers front and rear of the yaris. All you have to do is cut out the paper cone of the stock speaker and use the stock speaker spacer to mount your new 6.5" speakers in. So no need for MDF spacers, unless you want to keep the stock speakers.
